Man I hate trying to rank stuff. Metroid/Super Metroid are such a nostalgia boost to me, they just fit like an old glove. So they'd get mega points even though Hollow Knight is just a better game. But then of course it is, coming out 20 years later.

So far the gamble hasn't paid off but one day I'll be the last man standing, Gaben will contact me and offer insane riches so he can complete his 2013 foil badge.

The same way indie devs are for curation - all of them think the bad things surely won't happen to them.
The set up theyve used in the past is pretty bad, it wouldn't be a steep drop to hit Bethesda or EGS levels of bad from where they are

Since I already own Bad North, I'll dive back in over the next 30 days. It's a good 8.0 game.
I'm in an ethical quagmire because Raw Fury publishes Dandara too, and I've made a commitment to purchase games with brown protags.
I noticed that Afterparty has a brown co(?)protag. And so now I'm torn.
Does supporting diversity supercede the scumbaggery that is EGS?

Honestly, you are not going to receive any judgment from us, even if a "Fuck EGS!" comes from us. I'm probably going to buy Shenmue III. You do what you want and feel. If your convictions and desires are to support brown protagonist, it's cool. You don't have to explain yourself. I think that's a really cool thing, too. I'm prone to supporting games with female protagonist because I tend to enjoy them more... and not because T&A.

Something small I do, though it has nothing to do with a social or ethical cause, is support almost every SHMUP I can on Steam. It's my favorite genre and I want to support good and bad games so that, hopefully, more will come. When it comes to ShenIV, I'll be like 55 and blind, so who knows...

Legit lol that Artifact traumatized Valve so much that they have phones ready even in the beta.
The fact Valve seems to be the first party to have a working standalone game can decide this race honestly. Having the original mod also helps.
