I am rendered utterly unable to comprehend Valve's moderation policies with regards to adult (animu) content:

For anyone unfaimilar with Saya no Uta, it is a Lovecraftian horror eroge whose main heorine is the titular Saya:

New artwork based on the old artwork, uh? I can read between the lines. As long as it gives you the same disturbed feeling then I'm good. You know what kind of disturbed I mean, don't twist my words. I know some of you were thinking it!

To make matters worse, Bungie raised the price of Destiny 2 above the US one. I think I need a break from this hobby, all the recent bullshit is getting to me and I don't feel like dealing with it anymore.
wtf destiny 2 raised like 2 or 3 times the price....

FUCK!
Hope the dev is doing fine. They must be doing super bad financially. Hope they are not considering some crazy shit like selling their organs

I got a quote notification for this post somehow. At least explain the significance of this game being 25% off? o_O

Battle Brothers worth it?
Absolutely. It's up there with Divinity: Original Sin as the best turn-based combat system in many years, and in some ways better.

The visual design of the units is incredible. You can make out everything you need to know just by looking at them. From what type of unit they are, the weapon they're using, to what equipment they're wearing. If something gets damaged or destroyed, you can see it. If they become injured, it's represented. There is a tool-tip as a secondary source if you really want to look at a bar or if you're not sure whether they've suffered a named injury.

The enemy design and how weapons are balanced is some of the best in any tactical game. The tactics you have to employ against Nachzehrers, a Necromancer, or Orcs are vastly different. I'm rarely an advocate for strong balance. It's often poorly executed and results in homogeneous design, which is anything but fun. Battle Brothers makes a case for strong balance. All weapon types have very important uses, and you can usually build a character completely around them.

Positioning is usually an important part of good combat systems, and this is true here as well, but it also excels in formations. The concept of a formation, having a front-line, and how that plays with the terrain is usually done very poorly in other games. Not here. Your formation, and how well you can use it and the terrain to your advantage is often what makes or breaks a fight. Using Spearwall to keep your flanks clear, or to hold out against an onslaught of Direwolves can be crucial. I find myself thinking about positioning and different types of formations a lot.

Outside of combat, it's a sandbox RPG. There isn't really a story, but the random events and the flavor of the different origins can certainly create an emergent narrative, especially as you grow attached to your brothers. A friend and I still invoke the name of Fritz -- an important character in one of his campaigns that was the driving force of his many victories, until his death... RIP Fritz.

I've spent some ~230 hours with the game before getting back into it recently to check out all the DLCs. It's very engrossing.

Don't worry, even if everything goes pear-shaped, Papa Tim's Emporium will look after them. They'll be looked after very well indeed.

:wd_p:

70€ for the game:

50€ for the DLC:

Or you can find in the store link for the DLC that there's a version with both for 70€, only to find that they fucked up and there's no .exe because it's also just the DLC.

I was just about to comment about the price on it, but a missing exe? I mean, I've seen it happen before, but it's still funny.

Man, RE6 is such a fucking stupid game lol
I finished it and remember practically nothing about it. Other than the ending of Chris and Piers' campaign. Still can't believe Capcom showed the kiss.

For those that haven't played RE6, don't worry, that's not an actual spoiler. But my question is.. why didn't it happen? Come on, Capcom! :p

Edit: After making this post a lot of it suddenly came rushing back and I'm not even sure stupid fully describes some of what happens. The one cave/mine part in Leon's campaign, the whole awkwardness with Sherry and Jake, the enemy that is basically the world's worst and most annoying Transformer.. ugh, it's all so dumb.

Edit 2: Oh no.. I'm so sorry, NarohDethan! I didn't realize you were currently playing through it and my first edit is slightly spoiler-y. I tried to avoid any specific details, but I still went ahead and put that behind a spoiler tag to be safe.

Just catching up on the SUPER cards from Nvidia but once more, not a single one represents a decent upgrade path from 1080ti.

When is the next real jump in power? :blobweary: I want at least a 5-6 TFLOP jump. (fp32)
The only meaningful upgrade path from a 1080ti since last year, and probably until next year, is the 2080ti. (it's ~40% on average when you are GPU limited)

Not particularly satisfying pricing-wise, but the indicators that this would be the case have been there for a while.

Yeah its great. Excellent turn based game with some squad like management with equipment and weapons etc.

Have you run your profile against SteamTrade Matcher - Home ? I recognise quite a few of the sets you are looking to complete as regular sets from some of the larger card completion bots that trade 1:1
Sadly those bots only search for duplicates.
I have no duplicates anymore. I wouldn't mind trading for dupes of cards that I do own though so that then I can use Trade Matcher.

Ah gotcha. In that case, you could try against this large list of bots directly for any hits:

What the fuck?
What is the purpose of this even?

dgVoodoo v2.6 is out!
  • Support for Direct3D9
  • Internal shader code (DXBC) generator for DirectX libraries (the external compiler is no longer needed for them)
  • Various bugfixings, optimization and code refactoring for DirectX libraries
  • Some new config options
  • Fix for grTexCalcMemRequired for more compatibility with real drivers (Glide 1/2)
  • Fixing some polygon clipping issues (Glide 1/2)

What the fuck?
What is the purpose of this even?
That expiry date is for the bonus launch costumes, so it makes sense they won't be avaiable if you don't buy it in the first month. I don't know if they can actually not allow people to redownload them tho lol

The way it's worded makes it sound as tho the bonus costume won't be available to download anymore for people who bought it within the time frame either
