I have the same problem now that I got a switch, I'm looking at all the indie games I already own but would like to have on Switch.XD Thankfully I've resisted thus far and only gotten Minecraft. But it's actually my first time buying it, since I've been gifted it before.:D

When I was a teenager, I almost hooked up with someone I met in IRC who was 20 years older than me that wanted to tie me up and do bad things. The only reason I didn't do it is because I couldn't think of a convincing lie to tell my parents. Like... I wasn't afraid he would murder me, or keep me locked in his basement, or sell me to an international sex ring. I was just too dumb to come up with a good excuse for why I was going out on a random night.

Anyway, not sure what made me think of this now. Disturbing though.

You know what is the worst feeling. Suddenly not being able to sleep at night and tossing and turning for HOURS.

You just keep thinking "OMG I have to sleep" but of course that freaks you out more and suddenly its mini panic attack for hours.

It's only happened maybe 4 or 5 times in my entire life but its left a mark every single time. I feel for anyone who deals with it more often.

Beautiful. Nothing better than the boss fucking it up and breaking something lol. You don't even have to say anything, just soak in the defeated look on their face as they realize there is no one to blame except themselves.

Lol

On the subject of eating, on work-days I only eat one meal a day once I come home. At work I never eat, only drink water.

If you wanted to know whether the human body could be ok with just one meal a day and still function the answer is definitely yes. Also take Vitamins. That's probably important so you don't get malnourished. Growing up I only ever ate twice anyway, always skipped breakfast. So adapting to just one meal wasn't hard either.

Doctor says I'm in good health and blood-work shows no abnormalities. It's not really a "diet" either, since for that one meal I usually eat whatever the heck I want. Sometimes pushing up to 1800 calories in a single sitting.

Then I burn it all off at work and doing chores! :p Plus all the muscles I got from Judo and Karate (black belts!), I think I read about muscles burning calories even when you're not doing anything.

Hip-hop has come so far in Japan and so much of that (but not all of it!) is thanks to this man right here, singing himself hoarse for a song about suicide no less. Makes me tear up tbh.

Kohh came from the slums with nothin', now he's stealth droppin' albums without titles and filling Arena's wherever he goes.

I had 2 and a half portions of ice cream yesterday because i couldn't pass up on free ice cream even though my lactose struggled ass should've known better.

Woke up in the middle of the night to the feeling of someone shoving a hot knife into my stomach

I will never learn

Do you have lactose intolerance? This happens to me if I have dairy because of that, but they do make a supplement for it which provides the enzyme needed to break down lactose.

Never went to a doc over it but yea.
Started having these issues with dairy about 4 or 5 years ago, forced me to mostly give up my passion for iced milk coffees.

Doesn't mean I gave up on dairy completely tho as mentioned earlier.

Life is too short for regret!

Props for having the same mouse as me by the looks of it. G502?

Also, Kotaku and Polygon are trash and should be ignored at all times.

I only just realized there is a typo in this topics title lol.
Fuck, now I can't unsee it.

I have that mouse too, it's great! Every now and then, when I'm at the office I find myself reaching for the nonexistent upper left buttons on my work mouse to change browser tabs, haha.

Not entirely related but 2006 was such a strange year for me. I moved from my old house (which now is an ugly ass building), my country had a small economic crisis, my mother got pregnant and my dad received an offer to work in Africa, all of that in a short span of time.

What a year.

Today the schools start again in Belgium after a 2 months summer break. We litterally had to pull our daughter out of her bed, she really didn't want to go. I know exactly how she feels tbh... 😊
I remember this feeling well. Waking up in the first week of February was just :frowning-face-with-open-mouth:

Anyway, this morning is looking so much like a summer morning. While we still have some days of winter left and the entire spring to go, can't say that I'm enjoying this not so-cold morning, after all one of the few things I enjoy in summer are the mornings.

Was offered an apartment today but it was the shittiest shithole I've seen. Apartment is way too generous, it was a small room that you pay apartment level rent for.XD And not charming small studio in Paris kind of small, I'm talking prison cell, hell it even had steel frame bed and plastic mattress and all! Still, I have to take it, if I can figure out how to pay the deposit.

300 grams of medium-rare beef
A mix of roasted and caramelized onions
Cheddar cheese
Homemade sauce
a bottom layer of pickles
a side of homemade fries
and the aforementioned truffle mayo

Fuck, this was amazing.
It's my favorite burgerplace and I've completed about 80% of their (burger) menu by now.

Thought I would try out the mindfulness app that Álvaro de Campos mentioned in the epic thread, and I remember that Sam Harris would offer it for free if one had a little harder life and I wrote them an email about my situation and they gave me a one year membership.:D my psychiatrist will be happy, she wanted me to try mindfulness for one week at least to deal with my anger issues.
