If I get written up via the community for the following; I accept. You're not wrong.

I don't like Resident Evil 2 (remake). Its not fun to play and I'm immediately frustrated by its gameplay. Why in the fuck can I not stomp on the head of a zombie I've knocked down. Why 20 shots per zombie? Be either an action game or survival horror. Ugh.

I'm giving this one last chance, on account of the holiday. It goes back to the library end of this week and I may not ever rent it again.
Kneecap shots are the secret headshots in this game. Aim at them to dismember their legs. Try it. It made a world of difference for me on the highest difficulty.

fair enough
Shame you couldnt enjoy it :/
Does the game not have an easy difficulty option?
It does.

However, because I didn't spend any $$ (library rental), I more willing to only meet the game halfway and not deeply try to tweak and maximize. I'm about an hour in and I'd rather not replay that hour lol.

You would think that after more than a decade of "event" sales Valve would have found a way for the servers to not blow up every single time...

Guess I have to go back to work,.... or maybe go back to The Outer Worlds (and I can't believe I'm considering replaying the last hour or so because of a failed small sidequest that was timed).

I'll give it a shot tonight or tomorrow night. I might have to reload a save at a point when I had ammo!

Still annoyed that stomping them isn't a thing when they're down, or even barring that headshots while they fall down do nothing. Also, they're never dead until the head explodes but the pea shooter you've given at the beginning is wildly inconsistent with this. A few times I was able to blow up skulls with only 4-5 shots, other times its 10-15.

Apparently Valve didn't properly test sale page and it accidentally ended up launching DDoS attack to themselves. Oops.

(single pageload of Halloween Sale page made 1000+ requests in background after that)

Damn.

First thing I thought of was "friendly DDoS".

Turns out, it was AutoDDoS.

Classic Valve.
It wouldn't be a Steam Sale if you couldn't hear the servers burning from the other side of the ocean.

You'd think they'd figured this out by now though.

Oh, great. I can't play Hitman 2. Is it because that it needs the freaking Steam servers to play?

Although I can play offline mode, but then nothing will be unlocked....

EA might announce the Steam return tommorrow.
EA to Release Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2020 Results on October 29, 2019

It could connect to EA reaching out to sell their games on other stores/platforms (Steam).
Safe Harbor for Forward-Looking Statements
During the course of the presentation, Electronic Arts may make forward-looking statements regarding future events or the future financial performance of the company. Statements including words such as “anticipate,” “believe,” “expect,” “intend,” “estimate,” “plan,” “predict,” “seek,” “goal,” “will,” “may,” “likely,” “should,” “could” (and the negative of any of these terms), “future” and similar expressions also identify forward-looking statements. These forward-looking statements are not guarantees of future performance and reflect management’s current expectations
 Is this really necessary?

Just between you and me, the game isnt that good.
I got the Platinum for it and I have earned the right to say so.
If only you'd stick to a natural gameplay, and not achievement whoring, your opinion on the game might've been more positive.
(Seriously, is there even a Platinum on PS4 that doesn't suck out all joy out of a game?)

The not being able to stomp on zombie heads sucks, but the shotgun is your zombie killer. Save all your shells for zombie heads, cause it's pretty useless against all other monsters and bosses.

Spider-Man (PS4) and Control (PS4 but mulitplat). Two great games that I finished this year, with great gameplay and stories I wanted to uncover.

Post main story content for Spider-Man was so pointless/dull that I uninstalled the game. Control, although I only played a few post story "side missions" had the most logical and interesting post game content in a video game, ever. I think Control would be good to platinium.

Ok, another Kenshi story!
Second character, who is actually the same character as the first but with a new name.

Started in the same useless town (do you always begin in the same place depending on what backstory you choose?).

Bought some food and then started my journey to the larger town.
When I arrived at the town, I noticed that the entire town is abandoned!
So my character can just walk into each shop and loot whatever!

Gathering some useful stuff, I leave the town continuing the journey.
Some wandering later, I find a small outpost with an engineering shop. I sell some of the loot, buy a backpack and set out to return to the abandoned town.

I loot as much as I can carry, and return to the outpost, selling everything.
I buy some building materials and set out again.

Travelling closer to a large swamp, I find a small patch of land that seems nice, so I build a small house. This will be my outpost in my coming adventures! 😀
It's always good to see more people playing Kenshi! I love the game.

You start in The Hub with most of the backgrounds, but there are a few that start you elsewhere.

Is that abandoned town Squin? It's not supposed to be abandoned. It's part of the Shek Kingdom. Something might have bugged out when you created your game.

The swamp is an... interesting place. ;)

Feel free to post about your adventure in the RPG thread.

STASIS is fucking terrifying :sweaty-blob:
It's really good. I played it this spring and loved it.

There's a moment in the game we're your suit AI says like "Serotonin at dangerous levels" and they way the voice drawls and distorts is seared into my mind.
Really cool! 😎

Yes it is. I read somewhere that Squin might bug out if you launch a new game from within the game, which I did. You can supposedly solve it by importing your save. I will try that next.

In the US? Yes absolutely. Investors can and will sue you for making promises (to them about making more money) and then not delivering. It's legalese to cover themselves in case someone interprets their opinions/aspirations as statements of fact.
I actually wrote something like "unless you're a company operating in the US, of course"... but since I didn't want to offend anyone (people always seem to take things the wrong way...), I edited it before posting.:smiling-face-with-halo:
