Normally I would treat any rumors of Sony acquiring Kadokawa with a grain of salt since it would most likely be coming from some rando on Twitter but in this case since it's Reuters reporting this it's most likely going to happen. So next FromSoft game gonna be exclusive to PS5/6 for 1-2 years and then it will hit Steam.

Yeah, that feels weird. I could understand it if it's mods (I'm no stranger to spending hours on creating massive modlists for Skyrim and stuff and then not playing them much, lol) but settings? I will go through the settings once when starting the game and configure them how I want to, which takes a couple minutes at most and then possibly tweak graphics settings a bit more when I am actually in-game but that, too, takes another couple minutes at most and then I'll never touch them again. But why? What are you trying to achieve?
This would be terrible for gamers but also bad for anime fans.Exclusive-Sony in talks to buy media powerhouse behind 'Elden Ring', sources say

Wow, You'd think it be higher considering in how many pies they are.Its market capitalisation was around $2.7 billion prior to the Reuters report
If Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth or Trails through Daybreak don't win GOTY here yea....* will people mad at me *
I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it's certainly better than putting it into the "Best Ongoing" category. No, bugfixes and a DLC is not on-going. Phantom Liberty winning that over actual live-games releasing new stuff constantly was embarassing.I think Erdtree being allowed is fine in principle, but then this needs to apply to all similarly sized DLC as well, now and in the future.
(Of course, then someone has to define/decide "similarly sized")
In general, I don't care about any of these awards at this point.
I don't think they give a shit tbh.Swen and Larian must be so pissed they couldn't/didn't make a large BG3 expansion.
That shit would have easily won goty lol.
MC game award is all that matters!
We live in the worst timelineExclusive-Sony in talks to buy media powerhouse behind 'Elden Ring', sources say
Stalker 2 and Flight Sim are eligible (check the FAQ / November 22). Flight Sim not being playable yet for reviewers/anyone is on MS IMO.Can we talk about doing a game of the YEAR show, before even YEAR ends?
STALKER 2, MFS2024, Fantasion Neo Dimension, and few more are still left to release.
Well, to me, it matters the most to me!
maybe I'll finally play one of their games then, maybe....Control 2 is supposed to be an an action RPG
They're not dumb enough to sabotage the pc numbers of From games. So next FromSoft game gonna be exclusive to PS5/6 for 1-2 years and then it will hit Steam.
Xbox and Nintendo owners will probably be shit out of luck.
Yeah, and even the video games part of Kadokawa, Sony buying them wouldn't bode well for the smaller scale projects of studios like Spike Chunsoft and Acquire.Sony buying Kadokawa would be catastrophic and it has nothing to do with the video games part of Kadokawa.
Oof, Farming Sim 25 has already outsold Alan Wake II. At some point Epic are going to have to release AWII on PCRemedy Entertainment (@remedygames.com)
News from our Capital Markets day: 🔦 Alan Wake 2 has sold over 1.8M units 🔻 Control Ultimate Edition will release on Mac February 12th 2025 💥 Control 2 will be an action RPG 🎁 Control will receive a free update in early 2025, unlocking some previously released content 🔎 https://buff.ly/4eCBQEUbsky.app
While I already posted this link in the EGS thread about Alan Wake 2's sales, I was just going to point out Control 2 is supposed to be an an action RPG. I know the first game dipped their toes into it (to its detriment IMO), but if they fully commit to the concept it could be cool. Assuming Control 2 releases on Steam day 1
If that happens, which I see as very unlikely and not worth stressing over, the PC gaming community will teach them the same lesson that everyone else with similar aspirations had to learn.Let's not kid ourselves. Sony will try to establish their own PC launcher with FromSoft games so they can pocket Valve's share themselves.
Yes they are. They're not dumb enough
And it'll go as well as their current pc attemptLet's not kid ourselves. Sony will try to establish their own PC launcher with FromSoft games so they can pocket Valve's share themselves.
Love the naming schema. Deckard, Roy. Will we get Rachael as a codename for the OS?Leak: Valve is making a Steam Controller 2 and a ‘Roy’ for its Deckard
“Tears in rain” Roy, not Fire Emblem Roy.www.theverge.com
I hope the Steam Controller 2 is as comfy as the Deck.
I hope it has the same overall shape -- or something even better that's also "weird". If "weird" means "different from the norm".yeah I mainly hated the steam controller because it felt like holding some weird shit, if they make a version that's not weird I might buy it again
Yea but Switch still got some of the recent old ports. They're not dumb enough to sabotage the pc numbers of From games.
Xbox players are fucked though, all 8 of them still remaining. Nintendo fans already don't get their games so you can't lose what you never had.
Yes!!! Was just wondering about this, I enjoyed the last one on Steam as well.
The latest Shiren popped up on Steam. It was Switch exclusive.
