A Shyamalan double whammy.

Honestly I've always enjoyed Shyamalan films but they suffer from the same issues. Its like an "Almost but not quite" type of thing with these. The concept is interesting and ambitious but never fully delivers. That is the case here as both films are actually pretty good/interesting but fall apart by the end. The stories get dumber and more absurd.

I think Trap is the better film. And actually really good for the most part. I didn't like how involved the pop star was with the story and cops plan tho. I felt like that entire angle was extremely unrealistic. I know its for story/character purpose but the more realistic approach was for it to be much more discrete. Other than that is was a solid film and Hartnett was surprisingly good in this role.

Watchers was good at halfway through and than stops being an interesting horror movie and instead goes into some stupid/weird direction lol.

The best Shyamalan films remain The Village and Signs imo.

Looks surprisingly good. I enjoyed some of the Guardians films, Peacemaker and the second Suicide Squad.

I trust Gunn here but hopefully he has a long term plan because there was a lot of characters in that trailer lol.

I need to start the Creature Commandos thing too that came out recently. Supposedly it is part of this universe.

Arrow have a sale on.
Hell comes to Frogtown is a CLASSIC.

Watched Nosferatu. The Knock character played by Simon McBurney was one of the greatest acting performances I have ever seen in my life, honestly. I'm hard pressed to think of a better acting job in any film I've seen. Unreal performance. The entire cast was great but McBurney was head and shoulders above the rest. It was definitely an Eggers movie, take that with the pros and cons (if any). Beautifully shot, costuming design and set design (or location shooting) absolutely phenomenal.

I can upload images and embed them now, game changer LOL.

Anyway watched A Different Man. Excellent movie. Dark, funny. Tragic, Kafka-esque, even. Equal parts comedy and tragedy. Sebastian Stan was a force in this. Adam Pearson was great, too, lol. Pretty quick film, i don't wish they had gone more into any of the characters it's just enough. The prosthesis on Stan the first like quarter or two of the movie looked great, honestly. the more it goes on as it begins to slough off, it's near The Fly level gross, but not as gruesome. It's just gross seeing his actual metamorphosis. Saw it on streaming on MAX.

Finally taking the plunge to upload images and stuff will get me posting a bit more in here.

Just watched this on a whim with my partner. What a fuckin' movie! It's in the same vain as A Different Man. I didn't really know but maybe just because it's so fresh in my mind having watched it this past weekend. This one's VERY funny. Makes fun of art snobbery, narcissists, stale relationships, attention seeking. It's just all so funny. It's shot beautifully on 35MM film but just full of ugly things: characters, gore (body horror), attitude. SO good. Kristoffer Borgli also did Dream Scenario which was absurd as well.

Sony Bravia XR55A80LU.
It's last years model but according to reviews the new one isn't a massive upgrade and this was £500 cheaper at £1100.

The first season finished a couple of days ago, really enjoyed it. The 7th of 8 episodes will be in the top 10 eps of the year easy.

It's basically Silo but a dome.

Just watched The Keep (1983), loved it.

Also rewatched The Thing (Carpenter) this week, my second favourite Carpenter film after Big Trouble In Little China.
