That is awesome news. I tried playing DG on PS4 Pro, but the 30fps makes it completely disgusting to play for me. So now I will be able to finally enjoy it.

Hopefully Tsushima can be next. And dare I hope for TLOU2.
It's in 60fps now with the PS5 update. Not sure if it's updated for the PS4 Pro.

I'd love TLOU 1 & 2 but it's not planned if our insiders are correct. It's Bloodborne, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima & Uncharted Collection for now.
Maybe next year for TLOU PC.

That's a decent list of settings. I hope there is a native way to cap the framerate in the "display" menu.
Nice surprise to find out that you can increase your rendering resolution beyond that of your monitor. Maybe I could run this at 4K on my RTX 3070.

I don't have a lot of expectations in regards to performance. This is going to be pretty standard UE4 stuff, I expect it to be a stutter fest on a regular spinning drive.

Good game. PC mods will be fun to see as it could help like with Mafia 3, where it can ease up the pace.
The game is like 40 hours long and realistically could've been cut down for a more tight 25-40 hour experience instead.

Of course gamespot does not show the settings at which it is being played. Games journalism.

I know it's not the same, but someone uploaded a video of the PC settings:

Also, from my own experience, at max settings 1440p it runs at 100fps 99.99% of the time on a 5600x, 32gb, 3070 system (which is not super surprising considering it's all new hardware, but some ports can run a lot worse, so it's good to see nonetheless)

Wait, you are playing already? How come?

And that sounds fantastic as far as optimisation goes. Could mean 4K 60 maxed out stable on my 2080Ti.

I am really looking forward to this one.

Work stuff. And yeah, it runs really well, and a 2080ti usually does as well as a 3070 at the very least (and better in many games) so that's definitely a possiblity. I haven't met any hordes yet, but I am on the open world, and the framerate is still very solid at 100fps+ (100-110). All the settings at max with motion blur disabled.

I wonder what resolution it runs at on PS5. I watched DF but they never specified, only that it is checkerboarded into 4K, but from what...who knows.

Someone with a 5600x, 32gb and a 2080ti posted a video of the game at 4k. It's the start of the game, but from my experience so far, the framerate there is representative of the bigger open world area as well.

(they are getting 60-70fps)

I'm honestly surprised the framerate is often above 60fps at native 4K on a 2080ti.

Played first two hours - it plays like a dream, infinitely better and more enjoyable than it did on Pro. Looking forward to delving in it more and more.

Thanks for the report, looking forward to playing it again on PC. I only played on base console at launch... and hew boy was that base version terrible, remember riding the bike and the hitching was shocking, walking on foot felt sluggish because of the 30fps (if it even reached that). Glad this seems to be a very good port from what I have read.

Gotta give props to the folks working on the PC version. Other than the speed issue, it's performing great!

Steam Input implementation is excellent, with Steam Controller default to mouse.
Also seems they made like they have profile for the Steam Controller's haptics, as it feels quite unique!

I have been playing for around 2 hours and I must say this port works perfectly, game is a bit strange in some aspects I will detail once I'm done with it in the analysis but overall it is interesting, the world is beautiful and the bike controls really well.

I'm shocked at the performance, runs butter-smooth for me, haven't noticed that rubberbanding issue (although maybe I'm used to the base PS4's dismal performance). I'm also shocked that the bike handles so well with keyboard, I really thought I would be swapping between controller everytime I got on it.

Bought it, it's okay so far, I'm starting to hate scavenging in video games, reminds me of bioshock infinite where I spend 60% of the time looking through garbage bins and stuff.

ive started to ignore the scavenging, police cars are main places for ammo apart from bodies and sometimes in camps,

rarely have i ran out of scrap so im ignoring most cars anyway

getting healing and stuff again im constantly at max and i normally just loot ambulances or fire engines for healing

Yaaaa I ain’t got no time for that... like you I detest scavenging so I use a trainer every damn time to bypass the waste of time searching for items and personally it makes games much more enjoyable. Besides that I’m really enjoying the game :)

Sorry I missed this thread. Gaming industry was sleep, then RE8 dropped, and it's been busy.

That includes this port. Which is EXCELLENT!

Days Gone is an 8.0/8.5 game for me. I am pleasantly surprised. Too bad this game released in 2019 which was absolutely LOADED (Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice GOTY, Death Stranding,

Very underrated. I almost regret not playing it when it came out, but then, I wouldn't have experienced at 60 FPS.

And yes, the game is fantastic in 4K, too.
