Tried out "Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster" and was a bit disappointed, both with the game itself and my own reaction to it. I used to be a big fan of the Dead Rising series, but now I find playing it rather boring. As a hack and slash game, I don't think it's as enjoyable as some indie games such as "Vampire Survivors" or "Dark Chaser:BattleTide". Perhaps it's not the game that has changed, but rather myself. :(

For me it is the opposite. I never played the original games before 3 (Xbox) and 4 (Xbox / PS4) but directly played DRDR on Deck and consoles and quite liked it. I can't compare it to the original game yet, but I had fun. It is much more fun than DR3 and 4. A weird project I didn't expect from Capcom, but glad it exists. Will be buying the physical PS5 release for collection but my main save is on Deck.

I bought it for the nostalgia, had memories of a great game when it first released. I kind of feel the same as you leonokarin , its not quite the fun ride I remember. Bit too janky with the combat and frustrating with the controls. I enjoy it for about an hour at a time. I'll hopefully crack on and finish at least one run through.

Recently I got filament dryer for my 3D printer and damn that is another gamechanger. I guess I now really need to get that new 3D printer for Christmas xD I mean I already managed to talk myself from buying few games so my promise of not buying anything for the rest of the year is still good.
