Killzone 2 was amazing. Looked stunning, multiplayer was a ton of fun. Even the sixaxis implementation was good, fine-tuning your aim when sniping by simply tilting your controller was such a good idea. I stopped playing it around the time they fixed dead-zone on analogs, even though you could still play it the old way it lost something in my eyes for some dumb reason.

Worth playing now? Just checked and it's not available on PSN Store for some reason, so would have to look for physical copy.
Game looks great even today at least.

I did not enjoy it when I played it at launch. It's a modern corridor-ish military first person shooter that's pretty linear, with a cover system, it has most of the things you expect from that kind of games during that era like Call of duty or Battlefield's SP, it's a game that's incredibly scripted, some maps are worse than the others because you have little room to move around in, with some annoying "move forward to this spot to stop enemies from infinitely spawning" or "cross this line or do this thing so enemies spawn from hiding behind walls" and scripted turret sections, the companion AI that follows you is bad and get in your way at times, while also being an annoying character. Level designs are I guess mostly linear.

The graphics and animations are good though, it sounds and looks good, but it doesn't do anything special for its single player campaign and feels mostly like a graphical showcase than a good shooter.

I played through it once at launch, then replayed it on its highest difficulty, and end up hating it when I made it to the very end.
