Finished Dawnforger part 1. Very good event so far overall. The event structure reminds me of Deep Oblivion with part 1 being made of 3 separate "episodes" told over the span of a week, and like that it also has a pretty quick pace. Even in the first 3rd we see various things converging from previous storylines (the fake drug from Florence's, the Doll Community attackers, the fake vaccine from Deep Oblivion) which makes it clear this is a proper mainline event and not a filler. This event also features a high amount of interesting NPCs too, and it's nice to finally get some screentime for Groza, Krolik and Mayling since it feels they, like most of the early chapters cast, got basically put into a corner to focus on the more popular dolls. I do have some issue over how long Groza's breakdown was, I get what the authors wanted to show but it was such a clear pacekiller especially since in the end the Commander (and the player) got more info on what was happening to Groza from Loreley so that long scene feels even less necessary. I'm also not exactly sure about all the time dedicated to the Commander and Loreley's CBT roleplay in the prison, especially since it was obvious that "prison" was in Vasily's hands since he could casually get out of his cell anytime he wanted without the guards doing nothing since they all knew who he was. I also have to wonder what exactly happened between the penultimate node and the final battle: in one moment the commander is casually breaking out of prison with Vasily, Mr White and Mayling, then the very next Mokosh is in full blow war, Theia got defeated instantly and we're fighting some sort of AT-AT out of nowhere. Things really escalated fast here!
Oh well, the liberation of Mokosh will have to wait a few weeks. Ready for daughter to be back next
