Finished Antiparallel Part 2. It's still a voiced side event, but at least it doesn't suffer from the WORDSWORDSWORDS problem that plagued part 1. I definitely enjoyed it more than part 1
It does have some issues, one is the fact the writers feel like they're forced to include 9 "battles" or something similar to justify having enough stages (past events also had this problem with the multiple random "let's hack this terminal" moments) but I felt this one was specially bad with the starting Bluesphere's body randomly exploding the Elmo. Like sure you need a justification for forcing the commander to park the Elmo at the Doll Community, but at this point just start in media res with the commander going "man the last battle really messed up the Elmo". I also got a laught at the whole "guided tour" of the Community randomly going "and here's our combat simulator, show what you can do" out of nowhere
A common element in this story is about the maturity of a doll's mind. Since dolls are born with their appearance it's easy to forget they might just be "younger" than their looks, like how Ullrid is most likely one of the "youngest" dolls considering she was likely born way after the entire GF1 cast, and her general lack of maturity is explored here in her role as the Community leader just like in the Glass Island event, and we can argue the same is true for Phaetussa and Sweeper, albeit in different ways. But this also brings a problem: the community made zero progress after the Glass Island event: they still know nothing about the thermal power plant, they made no effort in seriously harvesting the crops, they made no contact with anyone else and most of all they seem like they had no plan with ever changing this situation, until the doll saviour appeared at their doors and suddenly here we have a way to trade all those crops for all they ever need. It really seems like the vast majority of dolls simply can't be trusted with indipendence, I mean the whole "abstaining" things made it obvious, but seeing how the entire doll community storyline basically could only move forward if the commander is there it's a bit disappointing. Maybe Sweeper was right in being worried
The continuity with Part 1 is basically non existant if it wasn't for Helen's presence. No references to Mangi or what they were doing. No refernces to someone attacking the Community in the past. Dush is still in her chuuni phase even if she recovered her old memory backup. No references to how Helena is feeling. I guess they wanted to focus fully on Phaetusa but really, there was no reason to call this event a "part 2" at all
Speaking of voices, well I enjoyed it especially the changes after Sweeper takes control of everyone, but there are a few things I noticed: 1st with this major voiced event I'm positive Klukai has somehow appeared in all of them, even if only for a small part. I guess by this time her popularity was clear and so the writers are pushing her more, but she is basically taking Groza's place a the commander's adjustant, she is always in the OPs room and she is always doing something. I'm surprised they showed restraint and didn't have DEFY also appear in full but I guess Voy is just to strong to unleash in every event. But a 2nd, small thing I noticed is how at one point they must have ran out of budget or simply could no longer schedule Naomi Oozora (Colphne), because she just randomly disappears from the event. I guess Sweeper got her too but uhh... she still just disappears and at the same time Dush randomly reappears and I honestly wonder if originally Colphne had Dush's role in the second half of the story
I got a laugh at how the entire story stems from a 10 year old PTSD a Sangvis Ferri doll has about the commander. Phaetusa is the highlight of this event, much better compared to how boring and passive Helen came out in the first half, although I find the way she was always there in the power plant but only Ullrid and Littara ever interacted with her to be a bit of a cop out. Basically nothing was done to truly explain her origin, how she became what she is now, or how she got into her current body. Sweeper is a riot and the story really highlighted her. She truly felt like a kid wanting attention, or proving to herself, which is also shown by how despite everything the commander was never truly in danger. Yeah I'm thinking V6R6 with maxed attachments and flowers
All in all it was good, but still far away from the game's best. Another future set up which may eventually do something with Sangvis Ferri/Agent since she was hinted at eventually appearing, but in the end it's just a stepping stone for the next major event, judging from the last scene

I wonder how many GF2 players know about this menu, or managed to see it. Probably the most obscure thing about the game

Hint: The curios you get from Phase Clash are not that useless

I have no idea what I'm looking at lol. Going to look into this later.

Finally get my shit together to read the event. Oh no, I think I like Sweeper. :flushed-face: Really enjoyed the conversation between her and the Commander. How the Commander trying to pull themself out bit-by-bit somehow reminds me of the Nyto interraction in GFL1 despite the obvious difference in the situation.

Yeah, overall I enjoyed this one A LOT more than Part I, although Part II has a much simpler story. It's faster paced and right to the point. However, due to the simple story, it also acts like a Phaetusa side story rather than a main story event. Just like Glass Island and Mimisbrunnr's Loop, I feel that Antiparallel is another "major event" of which two less-important events are stacked together to form a major. Not that I mind a lot because I had fun, but still... continuity would be preferable. I also quite disappointed by how Littara and (especially) Lotta were omitted from the story. Don't think this is going to be the last major about Doll Community so hopefully they will get more screentime in the future.

Last but not least, the Commander glaze... 🤡 Phaetusa literally dreamt about the perfect human and somehow they are the commander. Unless this is a foreshadowing of some Nirvana timeline shit, this is getting comical.

  • The main story of both GFL1 and Project Neural Cloud have concluded
  • GFL2 is still in prologue stage
  • Staff members who are experienced with strategy games (Bakery people?) are among GFL2 development team
  • They plan GFL2 updates according to a "yearly theme"
  • New mode plays like Escape from Duckov, but will retain elements of GFL2 including characters and story
  • Many staff members like Kabutack. YZ admits that they choose collab IP according to their personal preferences 😂

Regarding Lunasia Covenant:
  • Main attraction is about recreating key battles and events from GFL franchise in TPS
  • There's a separate main story about Lunasia

My theory for this part is: Phaetusa's Commander Dream is simply caused by her joining with Sweeper. The Commander is the person Sweeper hated the most, it represented the fall of SF, and Phaetusa is always the opposite of Sweeper and so this turned into a "dream" of a perfect human
But who knows, maybe there is some sort of werid thing happening

Yeah, I was just joking. Don't think there's anything super deep about it. I think your explanation is the most probable one.

Oh, forgot to include one of the more important pieces of info from Yuzhong. He gave out the rough time period of GFL and Reverse Collapse series.

GFL: from 2054 to 2076 (2074 now)
RC: from 2092 to 2112 (Bakery takes place in 2092)
