Opinion Is Base Wars for the NES the greatest game of all time?

Okay first of all Base Wars for the NES has to have one of the most unique concepts in all of gaming. The fusion of America's favorite pastime in allegiance with full blown cybernetic warfare where killer robots fight it out over bases makes this game ingenious. This is Rocket League level innovation here 30 years ahead of its time, friends. The combat is silly, the baseball mechanics are simple and approachable and the overall nature of the game is self aware enough that everything works.

Some people say Bases Loaded is better. Nah, Base Wars is the GOAT.

I wish they had released more titles in this CyberStadium series. So much potential squandered. Maybe this game didn't sell as much as I imagine, but it was certainly a childhood favorite in my household
