This thread is to discuss any KS, Fig, Indiegogo, etc. projects old and new.

For starters here are 2 KS projects that could go with some additional exposure

A metroidvania style game and has a demo available. The game features a mechanic where a room can change thus revealing a hidden item or path

Morgan's primary weapon appears as a pistol allowing for ranged combat

The crowdfunding reached its goal and is nearing a stretch goal for an extra playable character.

Gigabuster is a 2D action sidescroller themed after Megaman series games. There is a demo available that's been updated over time.

So here's a game I backed years ago and I'm hoping it gets released by 2019

It has a Steam page at least, but I really hope it actually gets finished up soon as the life of a patient backer is hard to do when the game you backed looks like your average 8-bit looking indie game :V

I told to myself to never back any new games until all games that I have backed have been released
So far only BloodStained and Project Phoenix left of my backed games/projects.

So I guess I will never back any new games since Project Phoenix is pretty much dead

Can anybody tell me how to get this playable demo to work? It relies on your browser and it's just not working for me.

EDIT: Screw it, just used their dumbass client to play it.

My very first experience with Kickstarter was very disappointing since I backed a game called Kologeon and the devs first changed the game graphics and gameplay to something completely different from what they pitched and then just vanished into thin air.

That didn't stop me from backing more games though, even if only a few delivered so far (a couple of VNs, A Light In The Dark and Neighbor, both available now on Steam) and the top-down action RPG Soulblight (also available on Steam now).

I'm waiting for all these to release:

Most if not all devs behind these projects are pretty active on Discord and Kickstarter so I hope for the best.

I also backed the two games Tizoc posted in the OP and this, which is the sequel to Neighbor (and it's probably not reaching its goal):

NeuralProxy I know of some of those games, though I didn't back them. Any that reached their goals are games I am very looking forward to playing.

Right now the only game that I've backed is Phoenix Point which is shaping up nicely. It's a turn-based tactical and global strategy game by the creator of the original 1994 X-Com.

This one looks also cool , but low % so far :-(
ime Wanderer is a breathtaking action RPG in 2 dimensions filled with puzzles, dynamic combats and lots of exploration, all within the realm of an emotional science fiction story.

Players take on the role of Corina, a girl who gets “lost” in time and wander throughout different historical moments of humanity as she searches for a way back to her own timeline to fulfil her mission, while avoiding making irreversible changes in mankind's story in the process.

With the “CHAOS SYSTEM” that we want to create, we aim to offer various game experiences so the player can complete the levels in many ways, choosing game styles that best fits their style. This element increases the “replayability” factor and the total number of game hours.

A friend of mine backed this which looks pretty neat, looking forward to playing it.

He also backed the recently ended Blood Rage digital kickstarter since they added the option for some new minis for the physical game, I opted to just wait and pick it up once it comes to Steam though.

6447% funded ... lol
Well, ÂŁ40,000 seems like a ridiculously low goal for a game like this. It certainly reminded me of something I'd read on Reddit recently.

Whilst many areas of Kickstarter still follow the traditional model of "funding on the last day is fine, as long as we fund", many backers in the board gaming category see this as a bad thing. Between backers and creators we have driven a need for projects to fund quickly and view it as a sign of how good the game is going to be, and how much extra stuff we are going to get (stretch goals).
There are still many people out there (I'm one of them) who will back a non funded board game after day 1, but there are large numbers of people who wont.
The challenge for many creators, is the first 48 hours and last 24 hours of a board game project are typically the hours where you get most backers. And you can often create a good projection of how a board game will do, based on how much it raises in the first 48 hours. This is where we start to lose the "backing a person/game" and move more towards marketing, trends, projections and other such things that not everyone wants to associate with Kickstarter, but probably should.
Due to the power of the first 48 hours, everyone wants to get as many backers as possible, and given that many wont back a project until it is funded, a way to achieve this is to make sure the project funds as quickly as possible by reducing the goal. Funding in the first hour means you get 47 out of your first 48 hours where you're picking up everyone, including those who only back funded projects.
This is also why many will cancel after 3 days even if they have funded. They have their first 48 hours of results and can use trends to create a projection on where they will end up, if they don't like it they may well start again.
It seems like board game Kickstarters really have two goals, the one they list of the project page and the one they'll cancel the project if they don't reach.

I've only recently fell down the dark murky hole of Kickstarter with boardgames and minis. I'm not sure I'm ready for computer games haha. I did see someone finally took my idea of a wrestling-rpg and actually attempt to make it into a game though (even if it is using RPG Maker).

Here's one for fans of old, and I do mean old school RPGs.
It's a game inspired by The Lords of Midnight, done by a team lead by the designer of the terribly underrated Ghost Master, and Discworld Noir:

There's a demo available.

The Farm 51's Kickstarter campaign for Chernobylite is live:

Additionally, I just discovered a game that has Dario Argento as an "artistic director".

They've made a short film with in-game assets, to promote the game:
