Alien Isolation Season Pass doesn't contain preorder bonus DLCs, Last Survivor & Crew Expendable.
You could skip whole Season Pass and just get those two, or skip those two too.

Season Pass is just challenge maps based on game areas, no real content at all.

Installed AC Unity, crashed five times during 30 minutes play time, uninstall.

Goddammit Ubi.
The last Ubisoft game I played is Black Flag because it greatly annoys me that even powerful PCs can't hit 60 fps reliably in stress areas. Do their modern games support Vulkan or DirectX12?

“The biggest, most exciting and most ambitious of our projects is without a doubt the DUNE open world survival game we’re working on, after having secured the exclusive rights for PC and Console games with this fantastic IP. It’s a game that is still a few years away and will be a more ambitious and robust version of Conan Exiles set in the DUNE universe, designed to be a game as a service from the outset.”

I don't know about Vulkan or dx12 but AC Odyssey run better than Unity for sure.

Was just looking at a few store pages and noticed the similarity in Meta/Opencritic scores.. For the shit Metacritic (rightfully) gets about weighing outlets differently and whatnot, it sure doesn't seem to make an appreciable difference in aggregate score.

Most reviews are pretty similar.
Any AAA game instantly has +25, a big dev name +20, if it's published by Sony it has +15... unconventional genres suffer from -20 baseline, etc.
Weighting outlets is another word for corruption and making sure that publishers now who to pay (sorry - "give exclusive content and interviews") for higher scores.

It only become problem if <insert your favorite game> got way lower MC score than OC :evilblob:

So I just read the summary of TLOU 2s story and it sounds rather boring and uninteresting. I respect it actually, it's a bold move that will make some fans absolutely hate it and some other fans will be okay with it or careless and some people will love it because why not.

Still, to me the plot sounds rather boring and uninteresting. I expected more.

So unless my feelings changes the game went from day 1 to a sale sometime.

Again, I don't hate or love it, I just find it boring and uninteresting, I might be in the group of people who will play it at after a sale and be careless towards the story.

I just realized that the level design in Dragon Marked For Death is more clever than I though.
I'm playing as a Shinobi, and there are locations I can't go to at the moment in some stages (for example, because they have obstacles I can't bypass). I thought I maybe needed some power-ups later in the game, or maybe I would get to explore that part of the maps in other missions (several missions take place in the same map, but in different parts of it).

The reality is, apparently only certain classes can go through there. Basically, by playing as a wall-jumping Shinobi, I'm reaching places, and using paths, other classes can't. But, those classes can use other paths I can't, because, say, the warrior can push and destroy certain walls, as other classes can with other obstacles.
So, by playing different classes, you'll get different paths available to you.
If you are playing co-op, with players using different classes, you and your buddies can, as a result, cover every nook and cranny of the map.

Speaking of Dragon Marked For Death, a reminder that the 20% launch discount ends tomorrow, and that the early buyer bonus DLC (which shouldn't be available to purchase in the future; at least INTI CREATES didn't make similar early buyer bonuses for other games available to purchase) ends on May 4th.

Why the hell does it have to be exclusive rights?
Yeah, sad panda here. I have nothing against Funcom as TSW has merits, but exclusive rights to a middle of the road dev that misses more often than it gets it right seem to be severely limiting the potential of the franchise.
At the same time, not sure the appeal would be that great. It's a cult franchise with a big movie coming, but most proven dev don't want to work on someone else IP I think.

here's hoping they'll at least farm out one of those games to Petroglyph .... because you know what that would mean ...

Are you ready for another utterly insane week of releases?
Besides a probable Golden Week sale (a few publishers already started their deals, like KADOKAWA: Steam Search.), this is yet another week full of game and DLC launches.

Here's some of the content launching in the next few days:

A RTS without a solo campaign ? :catty:
As a Homeworld fan, I want to rave and rage at the mere concept :p. And yeah, TSW had splendid writing and world-building, not to mention voice-acting. This still doesn't happen by accident and they definitively have strengths. It's just that unless they can deliver the perfect Dune game - whatever that is - they shouldn't prevent other studios from taking their shot at it. That deal is unmistakably sleazy of them.

How long is FE Three Houses. I see so many different reports. Some say 40 hours, other says around 80 hours. Does it depend on difficulty?

I think it depends on various factors. Difficulty is one, permadeath too (and so maybe restarting the battle if something goes wrong). Different people may take different approaches and so a different number of turns. The choice to do or not side activities and which, like playing a battle will be different from running around and talking to people. Stuff like that adds up and can change the amount of hours imho

This game looks nice, and is on sale for a few more hours (and it has a free artbook DLC):

The developer recently gave away on Steam his other game, The Search, and since the promotion was posted here, many redeemed it.
If you own that game, the above game is very cheap as part of a "complete the bundle" pack.

A question regarding Gears of War 5.
The game had a pre-order bonus:

Code:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1105951/Gears_5__PrePurchase_Bonus_DLC_Content/

Does anyone know if this content is available to get in any form (as an in-game purchase, unlockable, CD key from a "grey area" website, ...)?

thank you. :)

Oh, ok. I see the slider was put on 'NUCLEAR' :drinking-blob:

FunktionJCB I mean this in the friendliest possible way, and please please disregard if I annoy you in any way, but I think you give too much importance to this stuff. When faced with the fragmentation of modern games, I tend to choose the easy way out : the base game is the experience, the rest is just fluff. Saves me a lot of headaches.
I'm no role model, I often buy DLC, but the little bits and bobs ? They can shove it for all I care.

Gears Tactics reviews in 1h8min. I think.
Yeah, I'm carefully keeping an eye on this one.
But the whole open ended campaign modus with unlimited, randomised gear makes me a bit skeptical.
Feels like mechanics that are supposed to occupy your time so you don't play other things start to crawl into everything now.

It mostly depends on wether or not you take one or all 4 different routes of the game.
The first half of the game is always the exact same, but the second half is unique for every route.

Took me a bit over 70 Hours to beat two of them on hard.
Do you have to start from beginning for every route?

Good thing Minecraft Dungeons is on PC game pass or I wouldn't have played it since it's not on Steam.

Mojand seems to be that odd, weird MS studio living it's own life, like an arm on a body doing what it wants. Like Deep Silver, they are owned by THQ Nordic which wants their games everywhere, but Deep Silver keeps taking Timmy money.

You do and it takes a long time because of the persona-esque systems that are required to recruit and level chars in a Campaign, which is why i never did the other two

And unfortunately, which route you will take is among the first decisions you make in the game, so you can't just have a savegame halfway through and reload that for another route either (except for one route that branches midway from another route)
