When Persona 6 gets announced will the people that hoped "the game would no longer be set into a japanese high school, star an adult protagonist, won't let you date multiple girls including a teacher, don't have a monthly schedule and don't have most of the enemies be Shadows" be more than the ones who are fine with having their Persona 5.5 as they wanted? I say let the sales decide

Don't worry they will be too busy buying and playing the Persona 2 duology remakes/remasters to be worry about Persona 6.

As I mentioned before maybe ATLUS will through a curve ball at every one and Persona 6 will mark a new trilogy.

That's right we are bringing back Demons!!!!!!!!!!

Thinking if I should buy Megaton Musashi at launch. It's the first steam game published by Level5 so we should show them that we care about their games on PC. Priced at $50 and having all the previous content, this looks like a great deal. The only thing concerns me is that I don't have time for it soon.

I would grab it if there's region pricing :plsblob:

Vice City's theme is an absolute banger and I'll hear nobody disagree

It's a good theme and game has amazing licensed soundtrack but San Andreas and IV Themes are iconic ones. Vice City is in 3rd place for me.

Did you play the gacha version? I love mechage, but kind of lukewarm initially because of its gacha legacy. But reading the post on its website, it seems that they revamped the mechanics and remove the pay2win stuff from it, so it's good news at least.

Edit: My mistake. I must've conflated this game with something else. :flare_lmao:

I like Dragon's Dogma 2 a lot (I was a big fan of Dark Arisen too) but I feel the series needs a Witcher 3-like evolution to become a first-tier action RPG. The story and quests are mediocre at best and the game's world is fun to explore but it have very few sidequests that you can find by exploring.

Embracer is to be split into three different entities

The three separate publicly listed entities are expected to consist of:

  • Asmodee,a global leading tabletop games publisher and distributor with an extensive studio network and IP catalogue.
    • Net Sales of SEK 14.8 billion and Adjusted EBIT of SEK 1.9 billion on a pro forma basis as per LTM[2] December 2023
  • Coffee Stain & Friends”, a diverse gaming entity with a dual focus on indie and A/AA premium and free-to-play games for PC/console and mobile, with a high degree of recurring revenues.
    • Net Sales of SEK 10.9 billion, Adjusted EBIT of SEK 2.8 billion on a pro forma basis as per LTM December 2023.
  • Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends”, a creative powerhouse in AAA game development and publishing for PC and console, as well as the stewards of The Lord of the Rings and Tomb Raider intellectual properties, among many others.
    • Net Sales SEK of 14.1 billion, Adjusted EBIT SEK 2.0 billion on a pro forma basis as per LTM December 2023.

I don't care about your political stance, but the loser are the people who got stuck between to two parties who are fighting each other. Itch.io is hosting another mega bundle where all the money will go towards Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
There are 373 items in this bundle. Not sure what the highlights are. I copied a list of games from a reddit thread

Bought, as always. How sad that the situation calls for another one of these bundles.

It also has (linking the steam pages for easier info):

A Short Hike

Wandersong

Spring Falls

Underhero

Coffee Talk

All of them are great and super recommended by me, for what it's worth. Go buy it, everything helps!

kinda weird but OK :-/

THQ Nordic being put into the GaaS/mobile Covfefe branch is kinda making me scared for IPs like Darksiders,Desperados, Jagged Alliance or LAst Train Homenow

The Coffee Stain branch is not only about GaaS/mobile, but also about AA games, such as Satisfactory and Valheim.

Coffee Stain will focus on indie games to AA games and as well Gaas/mobile

I know I'm 13 years late but fuck you EA for not including the DLC on the Dead Space 2 PC port. Looks like it wasn't so good, but it sucks not having the option to play it.
Now the question is, should I play DS3 , or pretend it never existed? I remember people shitting hard on it when it came out.
I played it for the first time a couple years ago, and it's a lesser game but it's still solid. The customization of weapons is pretty cool, you can mix parts to make very different things even on the same base like, say a pistol shotgun with a melee move. The true space exploration is an interesting evolution of the 0G mechanic.

But you can just feel everywhere that the game was made to satisfy the suits' idea of a popular game circa 2009, with a duo of characters (the second not following around beside some key moments if you play alone) because coop was so important, or the weapon part systems letting you find ones with more stats... or just pay for lootboxes to get them.
Oh and the shoehorned little characterization which is straight out of a telenovela sucks ass.

But the game itself is not bad at all.

If consolidation is bad, then this should theoretically be good, or at least better. But yeah they need to figure out better names than those cringey placeholders.

Embracer splitting into 3 groups makes sense, and the companies under them make sense. As much as people dislike Embracer, this is better than the whole thing completely collapsing.

Definitely terrible group names though. But I guess that's "on brand" too if you think about it.

I used the disapproval emoji on Deku's Embracer post because they dare to use the word "friends" when they kept firing people over the past year. :cautious:
tbh ultimately their firings are in line with rest of the indiustry ... its just that them being mostly in EU means there are some actuall emploeey laws they have to follow (so you cant fire 14% of workforce at one like Epic did) , you need to spread them out acocording to the law

and the spreading across months ultiumately means much more press being done on it vs it being forgotten the next week like the instantenouns US firings

Im faily certain I read that the names arent final

Unfortunate. Tried the demo a while back and it was underwhelming.

shame, but, well it IS a game by Interceptor/Slipgate, their games all lack something to be really good, but I still had some fun with most of the ones I played.

Nice. In the future we can just let AI to play the games and we can focus just buying them.

AI won't complain about bad game design and terrible writing.

It will also leave a positive review :sneaky:

Honestly tho it could be pretty cool if in the future we have AI play our games for us and we just watch the replays. Have competing AI among our friends list and we compare who has the best/dumbest AI.
