Don't forget when you compare modern games to old games... we had manuals back then. The lack of story and mechanic tutorial was not a thing, it was just outside of the game.
Definitely not the same thing as being deliberately dropped in a world with no knowledge like in Dark Souls.

The Batman Shadows: The Enemy Within mode brings a captivating new look to the storied Telltale Batman games. Enhanced with hand recolored gameplay and remastered textures, replay your favorite Telltale Batman episodes and experience the twisted world of the Dark Knight in a sinister, new way.

4€ to play in Black & White mode?

Wow, Blade Runner finally happened. Now I won't have to hop through hoops to get it to install via CD.
Tell me about it.

Especially since my CDs are terribly scratched (the edition I bought came with the discs stored in some plastic sleeves, so even on day one they were already scratched).

Any news on it launching on Steam as well?

$5 reshade dlc.

I will admit, my 1940s looking technicolor Reshade profile made LA Noire better.

Ah, you got the big box. Mine came in a fat cd case.

No word on a Steam release. Hopefully we get something near the store refresh.

If you cannot recognize this series, you are forever banished from my friendzone unto the Shadow Realm

Is that from the Kemco RPG Omnibus for Switch on Play-Asia?

I kid, i kid, it's Chulips isn't it?

Finished the first area of Untitled Goose Game on my XboneX. It's okay, but I find it kinda boring. Will play through it though, it's apparently short from what Ive heard.

It seriously rubs me the wrong way that Sony doesn't support 1440p output when so many PS4 Pro games will render at 1440p. I mean, MS has been great about 1440p output on XB1X and even XB1S, but Sony has dropped that ball HARD.
Sony doesn't eveb support VRR, while the Xbox One X does. This might be because the Xbox One came out after the PS4 Pro, or it could just be that non of Sony's own TVs either support 1440p (they don't make PC monitors I think) or ones that support VRR. As far as I'm aware the two main companies that make VRR TVs are LG and Samsung (LG even has a new TV that supports 4K VRR via HDMI 2.1, or something like that instead of just Displayport)

9 times out of 10 renewing a trademark doesn't mean shit.

I remember when Namco renewed the Xenosaga trademark about a year ago. Glad to see the amazing stuff that came out of that.

NISA having a panel of announcements at PAX South along with a special guest

Couple of reddit users in the post noticed that with the newsletter that NISA is having a panel called "Publishing: From Console to PC":

In this informative panel, we'll be giving you an inside look into the processes and challenges of porting some of your favorite games, such as Trails of Cold Steel III and killer7. Plus we've got announcements, a surprise guest, and a free giveaway (while supplies last)! This is a panel you won't want to miss!

Guess CS3 just got confirmed for PC lmao. It was a given, but it saves me a month of wondering lol

PC means Pocket Console after all.

No 'we' didn't.
I grew up playing mostly pirated copies that had no manual, including obscure (and bad) RPG's, management games and RTS's often even in English, a language that I hardly even spoke at that point in time, meaning I had to figure it all out myself, including the very language of the game.

And that's precisely why I loved my first play through of dark souls so much, because it gave me that feeling again that hadn't felt in a decade or more.
