Empire of Sin

Empire of Sin is a new strategy game brought to you by Romero Games and Paradox Interactive that puts you at the heart of the ruthless criminal underworld of 1920s Prohibition-era Chicago. Choose one of fourteen unique bosses based on fictional and real-world gangsters, then set out to build and manage your criminal empire in Chicago’s infamous Prohibition era.

Build your Empire of Sin and run Chicago’s underworld economy with business savvy, brutality or city-wide notoriety. Strategically manage your establishments such as speakeasies, supply chains, casinos and more.

Sam & Max Save the World

Sam is a six-foot canine detective with a love of justice. Max is a hyperkinetic rabbity-thing with a taste for mayhem. Together, they're the Freelance Police. And they're about to save the world. Good to have you back, little buddy!

Now everyone's favorite dog and rabbity-thing are back in Sam & Max Save the World Remastered, a new version of their first season of episodic games that has been lovingly updated by a small group of the original developers with the blessing of Sam & Max creator Steve Purcell.

Return to the adventure game that was once called "gaming's first sitcom" and is today known as "the remaster you didn't know you were waiting for." With enhanced graphics, new widescreen and gamepad support, five new musical tracks, and the same brain-tickling puzzles and offbeat humor that won it IGN's Best Adventure GOTY award back in the day, Sam & Max Save the World Remastered is a modern classic that you'll love to play—or play again.
Now, let's go save the world...

It's just another day at the office for the self-proclaimed Freelance Police when the Commissioner calls in with a disturbing report: former child stars are running amok in the street! What starts as an open-and-shut case of idiotic vandalism balloons into an all-out conspiracy as Sam and Max encounter one miscreant after another who have been mysteriously hypnotized. (You can tell from the "spinny thing" they do with their eyes.)

Who's the source of this malfeasance, and what is their dastardly plan? Cracking this case will require Sam's nose for detective work, Max's lack of conscience, an assortment of inventory items, and a little help from neighbors Sybil Pandemik, Bosco, and Jimmy Two-Teeth. From Sam & Max's street to the White House lawn, inside the internet, and all the way to the moon, this baffling mystery gets weirder and funnier as it unfolds.

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

Orwell's Animal Farm

In Orwell's Animal Farm, the animals have fought off their exploitative human masters. Now they're in charge. Assign their tasks, manage their resources, choose their laws, and direct their propaganda. Determine which of the animals will make sacrifices and which will be "more equal than others."

George Orwell's 1945 novella was a scathing critique of totalitarianism in the early days of the Soviet Union. Since then, it has spoken to people of many ideologies in countries around the world. It offers a powerful awareness of how power can be abused – and of how generation after generation seeks a more just and equal society, where the many do not suffer at the hands of the few.

Orwell's Animal Farm brings the familiar characters and situations to the medium of a game, and to the context of 2020. Depending on how you play, you may encounter situations very close to those in the book, or others influenced by events Orwell never lived to see.

Play it to explore a classic tale from inside. Play it to try your hand at running the farm – or because you dream of spreading Animalism across the world. Play it because you've always wanted to oversee a construction project by a herd of cows. Play it because Boxer deserved better.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is an action-packed, immersive experience set in World War II, where you step into the boots of an agent of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in war-torn Europe. A deep single-player campaign bursting with authentic detail takes you through historic events on land, air, and sea, sabotaging Nazi bases, subverting enemy plans, aiding the French Resistance, and partaking in the biggest moments of the war.

In addition to the rich narrative campaign, you’ll be able to hone your skills in challenging combat exercises, go deeper into the history with award-winning short films created just for the game, and test yourself against your fellow soldiers in explosive, fast-paced multiplayer matches. Multiplayer modes take place on numerous sites across Europe and feature competitive modes where you fight alone, with a team, or even scramble to plant and diffuse timed explosives.

You’ll need more than good aim to succeed in your mission. Use anything in the world as cover, throw back enemy grenades, swim from sinking ships, and dive out of burning airplanes. You’ll have to stay on your toes if you want to make it out alive. You’re not watching history, you’re experiencing it, like never before.

Spintires - China Adventure DLC

Surrounded by quaint rural villages, Spintires: China Adventure DLC takes you on a journey through the dense, muddy forests of Wusu Foshan National Park and over the steep, dangerous mountain ranges of the Dushanzi Grand Canyon.

BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut

Enhanced and updated for modern systems by the game's original developers, this is the definitive edition of BloodRayne 2.

BloodRayne is a dhampir, born from the unnatural union of vampire and human. Blessed with the powers of a vampire but cursed with the unquenchable thirst for blood and a weakness to sunlight, Rayne is challenged with her most personal battle yet as she hunts down her siblings. They have banded together and pledged to carry on their father's legacy of creating a new era of vampire supremacy where humans are mere cattle.

With new acrobatic movements and rail sliding, fast-paced blade and gun combat, fatal finishing moves, more dhampir powers like time control, and an extensive combo system, BloodRayne 2 is a brutally satisfying continuation of the iconic series.

As madjoki reported in last month's thread, there's a ban wave currently on-going on Steam. Reason? not-legit games presumably using bots to boost their numbers and probably unlock, via exploiting the system, features such as cards.

List is potentially over 6 devs/pubs and 100 games among them.

You want to see an illustrated example of the trends detected last Saturday? Here you have a sample with 3 banned games that were detected the other day, please, check the curves and trends, very important to notice the pattern and why the bots suspicion.

Absolutely brutal,

THIS IS THE WAY! :dualbladesblob:

Great thread as always!

Finally finished Halo 4 today. That's all of MCC (sp only) played. It says a lot about the Windows Store that I thought it was lucky that it actually deleted the files when I uninstalled the game :) . So ... is Microsoft really going to skip Halo 5 on PC?

And yeah,, this year instead of the usual "wow, the year it's almost over already??" I'm going with "fuc**** finally 2020 is almost over".... but not too loud to try not jinx anything because it's has been one terrible year... yeeesh.

So. here's hoping for a last month of the year without any more surprises.

thank you, as per usual :blobhug:

Looking forward to that Sam and Max Remaster. It looks really great, hope this could lead to new games long term.
same ... i played (and finished) the first season back in the day ... but i'll definitely replay it now (especially since it's enhanced)

and yeah, i really do hope they eventually get to make new games in the series ... or at least remake Hit the Road ... that would also be cool :)

Great thread as always.

Fantastic new thread, as always.

And congrats on managing not to take the easy way out and having a cyberpunk reference in the title!

Is it like the old Omerta game from kalypso?

Yay! Great thread as always lash! :photoblobheart:

Also the month where I spend way too much on gifts. Though I have a feeling a few folks would argue I already do that.

But they'll never see it coming.

Yay, new thread! Thanks lashman!

I was originally looking forward to Cyberpunk, but the amount of "celebrities/internet personalities" included in the game has put me off. I'll probably get it on launch anyway because of RTX. :p

Is a new doom expansion releasing this mo th?
I'm assuming you're talking about Doom Eternal? Ancient Gods Part 1 was released in late October. Part 2 is sometime next year. Eternal's switch port is releasing this month, on the 8'th.
