Community MetaSteam | February 2026 - Romeo and Rogue: Dead Citadel Requiem

I currently only have 2 games installed on my PS5: Astro Bot and Demons Souls, I uninstalled Death Stranding 2 when the PC version was announced, only played like 10 min of it.

I started up my PS5 today to try Demons Souls knowing the remake is at the lowest point of having a change of coming to Steam.

Then I got an update for it and it seems like Sony has made every single online element require PS Plus to be used, at first it thought it was logical (despite it being sad), but I never got that message before and I haven't had PS Plus for at least 6+ years.

Or the update fucked the game in some other way I haven't found yet.

So I started playing it offline and then it reminded me how good the game would look and play on PC.

And that made me even more sad so I quit.

go fuck yourself Sony. At least you could have made Bluepoint port the game to Steam before you killed the talented studio you stupid cunts.
This is why I sold my PS5 and then PS5 Pro.

Every game I launched I'd just think "Wow, this would look (and run) so much better on my PC, and cost me less to buy it too"

With all this news, I have a dilemma.

It turns out that from my console days (PS2 and Xbox 360), I have a lot of physical games from that era. I'm not worried about the PS2 because it still works perfectly today and I have another one at home, but my Xbox 360 has been giving me a lot of problems for a while now, and if it breaks, I'll have a lot of games that will become nothing more than paperweights.

Is now a good time to buy a secondhand Series X? I see that they are still somewhat expensive. Or would it be more cost-effective to try to find another 360 in good condition or even an Xbox One? I'm not interested in Game Pass or anything like that, I just want to be able to keep playing my 360 games.

This post got me thinking as I recently tried selling off my Xbox 360, but couldn’t because the system stopped reading discs.

So I’m keeping it as a digital only system. As I’m looking at my library of installed games I rediscovered some pretty cool shit that I forgot about. I know I had more though and a quick peek at the Xbox app shows quite a few great digital games that I would like to download to it. I’m hoping I can get it to work.

But if it’s any consolation, the local mom and pop shop I tried taking it to, told me they don’t give cash of the Xbox 360 systems because they’re swimming in them. So you should have plenty of options for playing those 360 games for some time.

With Xbox dead, I guess you could say the big 3 now are Playstation, Steam and Nintendo, even if they don't really actually compete that directly with each other.

All of them seem to do their own things, but Steam and Nintendo also seems like the most stable platforms.

Weird, guardian doesn't need a subscription to read on my end. Some quotes:
But an investigation into headphones has found every single pair tested contained substances hazardous to human health, including chemicals that can cause cancer, neurodevelopmental problems and the feminisation of males.

Even products by market-leading brands such as Bose, Panasonic, Samsung and Sennheiser were found to contain harmful chemicals in the formulation of the plastics from which they are made.
“These chemicals are not just additives; they may be migrating from the headphones into our body,” said Karolína Brabcová, chemical expert at Arnika, part of the ToxFree LIFE for All project, a partnership of central European civil society groups that carried out the research.

“Daily use – especially during exercise when heat and sweat are present – accelerates this migration directly to the skin.

“Although there is no immediate health risk, the long-term exposures – especially for vulnerable groups like teenagers – is of great concern. There is no ‘safe’ level for endocrine disruptors that mimic our natural hormones.”

Nioh 3 NG done in 98 hours, but that's with me restarting the demo one time and having already replayed the first two little regions in NG+.
Not sure I will continue, I traditionally don't bother with Souls DLC because they always up the difficulty, and for a very easy game in the open world, some bosses are just 'I do not want to deal with you again, ever’ difficult.
The last boss was a nightmare.

But never having bothered with NG+ in the first place, I'm surprised it's not harder. I'm sure it becomes insane, but for now it's just a tad harder with some harder mobs variations.

It's Nioh so it's great.
But the difficulty is all over the place.
And well, credits to the team for trying something new with the plot, but Team Ninja obviously can't tell a story well to save their life.

What plastic does headphones use that is not used in other stuff? Like wouldnt a handcontroller be a risk too?

Ive had a few headphones where the plastic turned weidly "sticky" and now im super paranoid lol
Hmmm not sure. Are they old hardphones? Do you store them inside a box for a long time? I know plastic can turn sticky when you store it inside a container for a long time because the chemical in the plastic can't be properly "ventilated".

Playstation and Nintendo competing against Steam is kind of a stretch, though.
  • Steam/PC is the place were 99% of releases go. Where ALL new Hits start.
  • Nintendo exclusives are their own, there is no competition, they are all funded by Nintendo and Steam doesn't "compete" for those games. For all other games that are a given on Steam, most devs have to make extra "Switch editions" to get the square block into the circle opening and the majority of Steam games don't even try.
  • Sony is just a more inconvenient and restrictive Steam platform. Any Single-player game they make will come out on Steam anyway in 6-24 months, and there aren't that many of them anyway because Sony doesn't have enough Single-player studios and the studikos they have make barely a game in a generation. Any GaaS game they make will come out simultaneously on Steam because the financials don't work otherwise.

What they all comepete against is TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube, though.
And they are losing.

Are my Sennheiser 6XX screwed?

With there was a list.

The original paper is linked in the article: here; and here is the direct PDF download. In that, there is a list of tested products starting on page 37; and an overview of the substances starting on page 41.

Sennheiser 6xx is not listed as tested.

Not sure if this was posted here

Got me thinking that it would so great if they added a simple driving mode for the map. Disable all races, events, all the neon flags and festival stuff that is littered around the world... just leave a clean, empty map that one can drive around in to soak in the environments.

XCOM - The Bureau is better than I expected. The XCOM vibe in this game is amazing, I already reinstalled XCOM 2 to replay later next week. Any mods you guys can recommend?
For Xcom 2 , i installed the Timer removal mod which is the most important for me.
You can check out Steam workshop for other mods

I’m not sure “shop puts placeholder price in” is news. No one knows what it’ll be priced except some people in T2/Rockstar, but plenty of shops are keen to get preorders in.

This just stops them from getting burned if they charge £70 for it and Rockstar prices it higher.

I still think GTAVI will be priced similarly to other AAA games. They don’t want its price to dominate the news cycle.

I think this is one of my longest interviews ever? I spoke to Dave Oshry from New Blood Interactive about Dungeons of Dusk, Steam early access, console ports, the Switch 1/2 eShop, working on Xbox Play Anywhere, GOG, coffee, the state (lol) of EGS, and much more for RPG Site.

They will all be sent to the Call of duty gulag
Might as well just rebrand Xbox as 'Call of Duty Studios', because unless you're working on CoD, or content for CoD, you're probably not a priority.

I think they will keep things going for another year or two while the new leadership works out if there is anything else they value. But after that, I expect studio closures or buy-outs.

The reality is, the margins of having studios make lots of games, even if some of those games are profitable, is smaller than just having dev and marketing resource on the one high margin game.
