You know what Steam page is up? Distant Worlds 2 :p.

All kidding aside, there's a nice trailer there that I didn't see on the Slitherine youtube.
I clicked on the link to see how intimidating it was, and I legit thought it sent me to the Stellaris page because of the screenshots at first. Super weird.

I bought it and I've got about 13 hours in and enjoying it so far. I haven't played Factorio (I know) or Satisfactory so I can't compare it but I'm having fun making terrible mazes of height-changing conveyors to move stuff around and make glowy cubes.

So the bundle's base price is the same as buying all games separately? Or is that 33% discount representing the amount you save buy buying it instead of the 3 separate games?

Is Yakuza 4 not showing for anyone else?

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is coming to consoles and PC

one of a number of timed Apple Arcade exclusives I've been waiting on a PC port of (others include Shinsekai, World 'sEnd Club, Spyder, The Collage Atlas, and Little Orpheus), glad it's finally coming.

The original game was highly derivative, but I still enjoyed it, at least up until I reached a particularly infuriating puzzle that requires almost superhumanly precise timing to complete. hopefully the sequel doesn't have any difficulty spikes like that

Any chance that the bundle will appear in fanatical/Humble/third pary sites ?

I'm in no rush I'm still trying to finish Tales of Berseria (which should take me at least a few more days)

Im so glad Yakuza is finally here.

Not that I wanna play it, but you guys asked about the store page every day :p
So, when is Yakuza 6 being released on Steam? 😜

Anyone got any tips for a first time player of Morrowind?
There's a mod that changes so wildlife only attack if they are diseased. Will make all the suicidal rats and cliff racers more bearable.

Also, get a mod that restores your magicka over time.

The mod that makes signposts readable as well perhaps.

I also had fun with the first game, but as you put it was highly derivative.

Tried a bit of the Balan Wonderworld demo, my first impressions are not good.
Too simplistic (only 1 action, jumping, that's it, and the costumes change the way jumping works) and filled with pace breakers in an already slow paced platformer (switching costumes takes 3~ seconds, a cutscene plays every time when getting certain collectibles, a cutscene plays when reaching certain parts of the stage).

Good news. Maybe if it does well enough we can get Death Star Project also.

This game is slooow going for me. I haven't managed to do anything very cool yet except try to optimize belts. Still on the starting planet.

I just looked at your profile and was thinking "wow, 128 hours of Cyberpunk" ...then checked mine...also exactly 128 hours of Cyberpunk. ;)
(but I did play through the story already, and I'm pretty far in my second playthrough)
Hahaha still on my first one. At the very end of the story but I'm doing, well, everything before doing the final quest.

Speaking of, earlier I was thinking of writing a post joking about how shit the "buy all vehicles" achievement is because it just led to me spending my final hours in the game going to a vehicle purchase marker, buying it and then using it to drive to the next one, repeat until done.

But then I ran out of money even though I had over a million from doing all the NCPD scanner quests. So I crafted all I could to sell and still didn't have enough. So I sold basically everything I owned that wasn't my currently equipped gear and still came up short. So now I'm literally just running around looking for people to mug and then it hit me: the achievement is actually genius. This is the authentic Night City experience right there.

Oh and I won't be able to get the achievement for crafting 3 legendaries on this playthrough because, even though I saved attribute points, I started too late and hit the max level before I had enough to get my crafting skill high enough. :upside-down-face:

Also, might end up getting the Yakuza bundle after all. Humble choice discount brings it down to like 48$, which is pretty reasonable for all 3 games.

No more Life is Strange games by DONTNOD.
It really sucks that DONTNOD doesn't get to continue the series they are most known for.

I am happy that LiS will be continued in some form though. More games like LiS and Tell Me Why is a good thing.

In-game purchases

In the Japanese game market, discussions have been taking place for several years on the problem of gacha, or lottery-style game mechanics, primarily in mobile games. Overseas, gacha-like “loot boxes” have been banned in some countries.
As a creator of entertainment culture, Capcom believes that games should be enjoyed for the entertainment value they provide with gameplay, not for thrills associated with winning a lottery. We do not want to see games that are supposed to make people happy having the opposite effect as a result of excessive charges. For that reason, we are working to ensure that all users can enjoy our games fairly and safely.

In principle, we minimize gacha elements in the mobile games we develop; in our home video games, we provide any content required to enjoy the full game free of charge, while offering some additional content at low cost.

I've been thinking about that for a long time, a SteamDB entry for it must exist since both Queenie and InquisitorAlex both has stated testing is happening on Steam. But I don't think there any info on it what so ever, which is why it hasnt leaked. By that I mean that Queenie can post that SteamDB entry here, but nothing will be on it. It's easy for devs and pubs to hide info from SteamDB.
I can also add that some of the devs are going to such an extent as testing unannounced games on Steam by adding them as hidden DLC for their already released old games, sometimes not even from the same franchise. That was before Valve added tokens stuff for packages, and with names likes "Blue Test Content DLC" looking for something specific was like trying to find a needle in a haystack, and it's nearly impossible to do that now.

Played the Balan Wonderland demo.
It feels... off? I can forgive being dumped into levels with no explanation, lacking tutorials (as if it needed one), even the long-ass costume change, all of that can be fixed easily.
But beside the gorgeous pre rendered cinematics, the game is damn ugly, with a pretty bad case of mismatched store bought assets syndrome. It lacks a visual identity beside the main characters (and to their credit, you can choose your char from a few different presets and it's even reflected in cinematics, a rarity), and what I would call the Mario Galaxy design: random bits of crap thrown together to make a linear level that end up being a bit of a what the fuck. Why in the first level - which is farms and fields - do you start by meeting dancing werewolves? Who knows!

The world also just... unfurl in front of you, as if you were in a hamster ball, it's just super weird and confusing when you look up, I find it hard to locate myself despite the levels being very small and very linear with some side activities.

Speaking of, it's action platforming 101 with new abilities unlocked by costume power ups that disappear when you're hit (I could see that becoming annoying in some sections), but it's also the very beginning, so we'll see... it starts really bland though, and they fucked something up with the movement speed, your char looks like it's running faster than it is. It's quite slow (ironic considering it's Yuji Naka at the reigns).
What I don't like are the optional QTE cut scenes for extra crystals (I think it's like the food from the Chaos garden in Sonic Adventure 2? I fed some to little blobs, so I assume so, a little line of tutorial could have helped here).

It's a game... just... it feels like a Kickstarter prototype rather than a near complete product with ridiculously big budget cinematics.
Some elements can be fixed without too much trouble, but it's very oddly designed and maybe not that fun to play.
