Ugh, no 20% humble choice discount for NISA stuff anymore? There's only 10 :negative-blob:
Ys 9 is -18% on Fanatical with a voucher so there's that, any ideas if it's going to get cheaper anywhere else? :thinking-face:
Could be cheaper on wingamestore if you're in Europe as they charge in dollars. Doesn't look to be up yet there, but they do sell CS3 and 4 so should get it.
Edit: Or just use a VPN on Fanatical if not

Technically the monthly would be worth the cost for the like, 3-4 games out of it I want (Paradise, Nimbatus, Bee, Elderborn) but I might see if I can just buy cheap keys for those since they aren't even headliners.

I see there is a "DLC for games you own" tab on the Steam sale front page, but it only has 6 items. Is there any way to show DLC just for games I own?

Low-key ashamed that I slept on Yakuza 3 long enough for it to be in Choice...

Then again, it and Surge 2 make this the best Choice line-up in a loooong time for me, so 🤷‍♂️

Kind of annoying that the Yakuza Remastered bundle doesn't seem to give an extra discount from owning one of the games, though. Almost makes me want to hold off again until Yakuza 4 is in Choice lol.

I guess Ys IX argentinan price is a preview of what will happen when NIS increases the prices of "some" games on July 19. Ouch. No clue as to why the price is decent over here (Brazil), but that probably won't last very long.

Also, these final days/hours of the Steam sales is when I have to keep fighting with myself to not make some more expensive purchases.... and of course I end up loosing the battle and buying games I won't play until they appear on Choice/Gamepass/whatever....

I truly do not understand the sentiment of the modders who are complaining about the change Nexus is doing. If you are doing development for recognition and reward, make an actual game. Modding is great and it's fundamental in many ways but it can never be YOURS because it's not your game, and you are offering it up to literally everyone. It is by nature communal and bitching about the free site that's enabled it for years and years for FREE trying to make it even more communal is psychotic to me.

I only made one mod, it was literally a mod I wanted that wasn't represented in the many FO:NV ones available, so I made it and uploaded it and couldn't care less what anyone else does with it for their own enjoyment. If I'd never uploaded it, or hosted it privately behind a paywall, then... the Nexus changes also mean literally nothing so again, who cares.

It feels like there are a bunch of narcissists who must have done more modding just for attention or something and removing the ability for them to take their mods off because they want to take it away from everyone has really set off attention-seeking alarms.

Every other argument against it I see are logical fallacies, that apply to Nexus for the past years anyway.

Even after installing the browser add-on, login in and adjusting settings it only shows a couple of DLCs. It doesnt even show the DLCs recommended in the front page of the steam sale. For example, it shows the Japanese Pack for Assetto Corsa but not the Porsche Pack which has a bigger discount.
By default over here the filters are over 60% discount/rating and over 500 reviews which the Japanese pack has but the Porches ones do not, so maybe that's it?

Browsing through my list... Trine 4 had a 6 level dlc? Maybe I should look at the "Whats new" section more often :p

Srry for the late response.
So regarding that attack. When he falls and hits the ground he does the slam damage and sends out the shockwave that you can see travel across the ground. So likely what got ya.

I attached this picture to hopefully clarify it a bit easier. The part I underlined is the 1 hit protection, so as long as you can see that part of your health, you will have that saftey-ish net.
But yea Fire or Malachite enemies are satan due to how they can tick through it.
That's great to know, thanks a lot!
Last night me and 2 friends managed to beat the game for the first time. It was on Easy, but to me it's better than nothing :steam_pig_crylaughing: I was the last one standing, and you can imagine how tense I was fighting that asshole (especially since my friends were watching me). Luckily Mithrix can be frozen with the Artificer, which we were very happy to discover, effectively reducing his health by 30%. And I already knew I had to hurry to the ship at the end because of a previous run where we couldn't escape in time, so it wasn't a surprise this time. Such a fun game, but it's haaaard!

If all the rumors of SteamPal and it using Van Gogh are true its gonna be so much more powerful than the Switch since Nintendo is holding off on next iteration for now.

Valve is gonna price this thing so high. I can already see 600$+

Gabe pls don't :surrenderblob:

I'll believe it when i see it, or benchmarks at least. People seems to be expecting the SteamBuddy to be the next gaming messiah from what i've read.
... but again, we won't know until it's in stores.
As for stores, it will likely be Steam exclusive for a year or two before being sold in retail stores.

That will suck for those people who Valve doesn't ship to.

Downunder.
i was so hyped for the 4x Kiseki they announced the other day , but all those pricing news pretty much killed my whole hype
Two of those announced games are already available in English and technically competent. There's no real need to wait -- unless of course, PH3 announced officially that they're working on the PC ports. As for Hajimari/Reverie, well, they'll probably charge $90 for the privilege. I'd say we have two years to sell Steam cards to fund it. :flare_lmao:

And somehow NISA has made Ys IX be the most expensive Falcom game that I've ever bought to date. Even more expensive than Kekmo's Atelier Ryzas. And I bought those Ateliers on day one. PH3 should be paid handsomely for their efforts, but this regional pricing is just another example of publisher's greed: how to make people not wanting to buy your games ever again. :flare_pout:

I loved Voidspire Tactics, that team is a hidden gem unto themselves. Axiom Verge is also great, although mildly dates itself for reasons.

For Ticket to Earth (which I also picked up this sale), I'd recommend starting on the easy difficulty. Mine defaulted to "Veteran" and it's just not a good game on that setting, because it's pure RNG every, single, fight after the beginning few. You have a little more tactics on the other settings from what I've seen but I'm maybe halfway through.

Lol was not Bee Simulator in Humble Monthly previously an Epic exclusive? I did not even know the game is on Steam haha.
I thought with the "success" of the Epic Humble Bundle, they might be offering Epic Keys for previous EGS exclusive. Glad to have Steam Key option for all choice.

End up caving and getting Mass Effect LE on Steam...

Downloaded 100 GB. Had to install Origin even though I have the "newer" EA Desktop and this a new game.... ok.. kind of expected that.
Launcher isn't at my native resolution, so I click on options to se if I can change it (game itself is fine) an end up laughing at this:
So, the default is to snoop on me playing the game, but not report any crashes? Man... if you want to know which NPC I "romance" in these games you should at least also know when the damn thing crashes :p

I think it's really just Wizardry 8 and M&M 6-9.
Trails 3rd is a free-movement blobber to some extent since it has a hub area interconnecting all the dungeons and you spent most of the time in the "underworld" sort-of speak.

Returned to spread some knowledge.

I've ditched all forums and social media since march of this year.

A wise choice. One I would suggest that everyone do for a period, perhaps forever. World doesn't need this stuff.

Just wanted to say that. Its FOMO and B$ straight down.

Think about it. : )

Did everyone here know that there is a a Free port of the Heroes of Might and Magic 2 engine to modern Windows that supports all the old maps and campaigns even?

Its on github and they have a patreon. Very nostalgic, I played SO MANY hours of that game as a kid.

Of course there is a much more developed port for the much more popular Heroes of Might and Magic 3. The HoMM3 HD project is amazing, but I never knew people were working on the more cartoonish HoMM2.
