Kaname Date, a Psyncer, is tasked with assisting Iris in completing a bizarre escape game and ultimately uncovering the truth behind the situation. Players will conduct investigations using Date's special functions in his left eye to gather information and track Iris's whereabouts. Throughout the game, familiar and new characters will appear, adding to the complexity of the unfolding mystery.

Gameplay involves exploring the eccentric dream world of potential suspects through the Somnium mechanic, allowing players to uncover clues and secret memories. Simultaneously, players must solve thrilling mysteries while navigating a locked environment. Successfully identifying the true answer beyond surface-level logic will unlock the door to escape, driving the narrative forward and revealing more about the overarching plot.

FUMES

This single-player game offers a straightforward and intense experience, drawing inspiration from the classic vehicular combat genre of the golden era. Players will engage in fast-paced gameplay, customizing their cars with weapons and equipping them with stickers. The game features driving physics reminiscent of old rally games, allowing for challenging off-road races against the fastest racers of the wastelands. Players will encounter waves of enemies, participate in intense chases, and deliver suspicious packages while escaping pursuit. The core gameplay loop involves battling giant bosses – monstrous vehicles – and earning new cars and parts by defeating them.

The game's environments are expansive and procedural, leading players to get lost in the desert and wander through endless landscapes. There are no loading screens or fast travel options, encouraging players to fully immerse themselves in the experience. A guitar-heavy soundtrack accompanies the action, and players can collect scrap to further customize their vehicles. The game focuses on pure, unadulterated mayhem, encouraging players to become "mayhem walkers" within this twisted world.

Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings Game

Tales of the Shire offers players the opportunity to live the cosy life of a Hobbit in the serene landscape of the Shire, directly from J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved books. Players create their own Hobbit, personalising their appearance and attire, and then settle into a newly established, though not yet official, village in Bywater. The core gameplay revolves around decorating a personal Hobbit home with grid-free placement of furniture and décor, tending to a garden, fishing at clear ponds, foraging for wild fruits and herbs, and trading with townsfolk. Players prepare homemade meals to share with fellow Hobbits, fostering relationships and enjoying second breakfast or hosting dinner parties. Days are spent exploring the picturesque forests, lakes, and pastures of Bywater, experiencing the ever-changing weather and seasonal surprises.

Throughout the game, players actively contribute to helping the quaint town flourish by completing club missions to achieve official village status in Bywater. This involves daily activities, gaining rewards through story progression, and meeting iconic characters and familiar Hobbit families to trade for upgrades to skills, clothes, home, and more. The focus is on enjoying the little things and experiencing the idyllic life of a Hobbit in the wonderfully serene landscape of the Shire.

Grounded 2

The game presents a scenario where the player has been reduced to the size of an ant, transforming a familiar environment – a park – into a vast, uncharted wilderness. Players must navigate sprawling spaces now overtaken by nature, utilizing buggies that can both fight alongside them and gather resources. These buggies are central to survival, allowing players to hatch, raise, and ride insect companions, commanding them in battle and assisting in resource collection. The core gameplay loop involves traversing this overgrown landscape, uncovering hidden secrets, and adapting to the constant threats lurking within.

Survival is significantly enhanced through cooperation with friends, as the dangers of the park are formidable alone. Players can work together to build, fight, and uncover the mysteries hidden beneath the surface. However, a persistent and unknown threat constantly observes and learns the player's actions, growing closer with each discovery. This unseen force represents a significant danger, and seeking answers only deepens the player's predicament, suggesting a pervasive sense of dread and inescapable pursuit.

Terminull Brigade

Terminull Brigade is an action-roguelike co-op hero shooter set in futuristic digital worlds. Players must dive into the Nullverse, mastering a roster of Rogueteers to make the last stand against unfolding shadow algorithms. Each exploration features randomized challenges and rewards as players unravel the rich stories and mysteries of unique, captivating worlds. Players can choose their avatar from a selection of Rogueteers, each with a distinct personality, playstyle, and signature moves. The game emphasizes teamwork, with players being stronger together in online co-op, and encourages strategic combat against challenging bosses at the end of each dive.

Throughout each run, players collect loot to craft powerful weapons and mods, enhancing their gameplay and allowing for endless build possibilities. The game's core loop revolves around mastering a chosen Rogueteer, unlocking a rich talent tree, and customizing their abilities with mods. Every victory or defeat provides new insights and allows players to grow stronger, ensuring that each exploration into the Nullverse is a unique and rewarding experience.

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound blends the classic lore and gameplay of the original Tecmo-developed NINJA GAIDEN series with the depth and intensity of the modern 3D entries. The story begins with Ryu Hayabusa traveling to America to fulfill his father's will, during which time the barrier between the human and demon worlds collapses, unleashing a terrifying army upon the Hayabusa Village. In Ryu's absence, Kenji Mozu, a young ninja trained by Ryu, rises to the challenge, but quickly finds himself in desperate straits. Forced to utilize forbidden power, Kenji forms an alliance with the sinister Black Spider Clan, believing that combining their souls and skills is the only way to protect the world from the Demon Lord.

Players control Kenji Mozu and the skilled assassin Kumori simultaneously, utilizing the Ninja Fusion to unleash devastating abilities and battle enemies. The game features impeccable mechanics that are easy to learn but difficult to master, appealing to both new and experienced fans of the NINJA GAIDEN series. The brutal, nostalgia-filled aesthetic of the game pays homage to the past while pushing the boundaries of modern pixel art, creating a visually stunning experience with meticulously crafted visuals and every enemy recreated with a level of detail previously impossible.

Steam In-Game Performance Monitor
Today's Steam Client update makes available a new performance monitor that Steam can render over your game. This feature is designed to help you understand how your PC is performing and how it is impacting your game's performance.

What it does

The new performance overlay will show you frame rate values, similar to the old FPS counter, but it can also break out generated frames from DLSS or FSR vs actual game frame rate. It can show you min/max single frame values and a graph of frame rate over time. Additionally, it will show you CPU performance information, GPU performance information, and system memory usage information. These pieces of data can be useful to understand the causes of bad game performance whether that be a slow CPU, GPU, or too high graphics settings that are over subscribing your video or system ram.

Levels of detail

The new performance monitor gives you four levels of detail: Single FPS Value, FPS Details, FPS Details, CPU & GPU Utilization, and FPS, CPU, GPU & RAM Full Details.

You can keep the display small with a single FPS value, or you can expand to the full details when debugging a performance issue. These details can be adjusted live in-game. You can also adjust color saturation, text size, and background opacity to make this as prominent (as seen below), or as subtle and fading into the background of the game as you'd like. You can optionally show a graph of FPS over time, and you can optionally show a graph of CPU utilization per-core.

Learn much more about the individual numbers we show, how we calculate them, and how to think about them here in our support FAQ.

How to enable

To enable the new performance overlay, adjust it's size and position, set a hot-key, and more, go to Settings->In Game and find the new Performance Overlay section as pictured below.

What's next?

Today's update is a first step towards helping Steam users more easily understand their game and system performance. We have plans to add some additional pieces of data to the performance overlay going forward, to detect certain common bad hardware performance scenarios, and to show a larger summary of your games performance in the overlay itself when you hit shift-tab.

This first version also focuses on Windows users and on the most common GPU hardware. If you are on a non-Windows platform, or on an uncommon or older GPU, you may not see the full set of data today.

We hope today's update is useful to you, and we'd love to hear from you about what else you'd like to see us improve in this area.

Very hopeful that Eriksholm does well. All the demo impressions I saw were quite glowing, hoping it holds true for the full game as well.
Ragebound continues to look dope as well.
Had not heard of The Drifter, to the wishlist it goes.

Also very curious about Shadow Labyrinth. What a weird thing.

I've been wondering for a while why the Deck's performance overlay (or something similar) wasn't available when using Steam on PC.
well, i guess it is now :D and it's awesome too

and more good news from vavlo:

Thank you for the thread lashman! Slow month for me, a calm before the MGS Delta storm lol.

Guys are you having issues with emudeck? Only the newer games are being added to my steam library, a bunch of GameCube, ps2, switch games are missing (mostly games I added via emudeck years ago), even though they're showing up in Steam ROM Manager with no issues. Have any of you guys encountered this? Is driving me up the wall

Mmh, the only sure get is Donkey Kong.
Ragebound very probable, too. I feared the difficulty but the demo was not that hard with painless checkpoints most of the time.
I would have said Kaname Date but I didn't play Nirvana Initiative.
And lastly I put an option on The Drifter, just for the fact that de damn game is finally out, just a couple more months and I would have forgotten all about it.

Could be a light month, which would be cool given that I still have to buy things from the summer sale. On the Steam front the games I want the most (Fantasy Life and Raidou are not discounted) and on the eshop front, well, it's Nintendo... with Nintendo discounts. So I fear I still need to think on it.

Just reposting for this thread, it's possible the performance issues with ranged weapons on MH Wilds could be happening only with Intel CPUs that have e-cores, but I haven't seen nowhere near enough reports with specs to form a conclusion yet.
There's gonna be an update to fix this later today:

Hunters, Hotfix patch Ver.1.020.01.00 is planned to go live on all platforms later today. This hotfix patch addresses the following issues:

  • Crashing when opening the Equipment Appearance and Palico Equipment Appearance menus.
  • Unstable frame rate when equipping ranged weapons on PC.

Once the update is available, online sessions will be discontinued and you will need to update to the latest version to continue playing online.
