Forensics: Crime Scene Detective

The truth is hidden in the details.

In Forensics: Crime Scene Detective, you are the scientific authority that provides investigators with the facts. Your work begins when the sirens fade and silence settles over the crime scene.

With a cool head and a trained eye, you enter apartments, bars, and basements where something unimaginable has happened — or is said to have happened. Equipped with professional tools, you search for what others miss: a subtle fingerprint on a wine glass, a deleted message on a smartphone, a tiny blood spatter that casts doubt on a statement.

From Crime Scene to Laboratory:
Securing evidence is only the beginning. In the lab, the evidence tells its story. You compare DNA profiles, reconstruct bullet trajectories, decrypt digital devices, and piece together fragments into a clear overall picture. Your analyses incriminate perpetrators — or exonerate the innocent. Not every bloody crime scene is a murder. And not everything that seems obvious is the truth.

With professional guidance from the State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate, the game portrays forensic work as authentically as possible. Experience cases drawn from real life: sober, logical, and relentless in their evaluation of evidence. Find the traces. Analyze the facts. Reveal the truth.

The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian

is a narrative role-playing game telling the story of a cruel world, where lawbreaking is met with severe punishment, and a crown prince must decide the destiny of the land. Whether you rule maintaining the old order, or create a new future is up to you.

In the Great Arknian Empire, everyone’s life is determined by their birth. Such is the ultimate law laid down by the Twins, stern gods who divided society into Lots. The clergy shows people the right path, the nobles rule, and the commoners’ Lot is working and suffering in obedience. Your fate, however, is very different: to be the chosen of the gods, become their tool, and govern the entire nation.

You, Prince Jerian of the Tempest, must embark on a lifelong journey: starting as a child unaware of his destiny, and becoming an emperor for whose role you have been preparing since birth. As a crown prince, you will have to understand your country and its culture, but also make difficult choices affecting the fragile balance of powers in the Empire, and yourself.

The events of this new game take place in the same universe, but tell a completely different story. While The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian inherits existing gameplay features, it also contains new mechanics reflecting the protagonist’s role and traits.

As a future ruler, you must learn the current state of the Empire. The treasury is running dry as the estates rise one against another, fighting for their interests. The church withers and sows hatred among the people, noble houses aspire to keep the old traditions, and commoners demand equal rights with the nobility. Pay attention to these circumstances and decide the country’s path while chasing your own goals.

The time will come, and the Emperor’s scepter will lie in your hands, but you feel its weight even now. You have to act immediately: you are the only one able to change the course of history, to unite or shatter the country. Make difficult choices that affect the nation and you alike. Promises given to yourself might become your most unbearable burden. Every decision brings consequences, and your mistakes will be paid for by the entire Empire.

You were given power by birth, but the cost of such majesty is your own ambition. You are shackled not only by the outside world and its circumstances, but also by your soul. Thinking of who you are, who you want to be, and who the Empire wants to see in you, such is your lot. Making a choice of your own requires a sacrifice. Following the political situation and your family’s demands might drive you mad. Will you save yourself or allow your soul to shatter into pieces?

Be careful in choosing your allies: those who you keep close will shape your character and affect your decisions. Your family, your subjects, nobles and commoners alike, every single one wants your attention and patronage. Help one, and you will lose the support of another. Whether you succeed in maintaining the fragile balance of the Empire or let it all burn down in civil war will be decided by you.

Not only are you the crown prince, but also the Primate, who connects the worlds of the living and the divine. You and your family of the Tempest are the keepers of the Pact, a “testament” between the Twins and those who live by their will. Can it be changed without dooming the world? You will find the answer yourself.

The power that you possess is not an end, but a means. You are destined to save the world entrusted to you by your ancestors and gods. What future awaits the New Empire, and who will benefit? Whose sufferings will end, and whose will begin? Only time will tell.

But victory was not to be theirs, for while the khraiax stood little chance against the might of the combined forces, a far greater danger rose from beneath the city’s streets.
Vahrin’s king lies dead, along with thousands of soldiers who marched to the city’s aid. Now only its most stalwart defenders remain, desperately fighting to reclaim their beloved home.

Vahrin’s Call stands as its own complete tale, yet it forms just one part of a sweeping epic narrative that spans nations and continents.

Corsair Cove

The Golden Age of Piracy is coming to an end – as the high seas are commandeered by the Crown’s pirate hunters, an era of adventure and plunder comes to a close… unless
can save it.

Corsair Cove is a city builder that challenges you to think tall as you build without constraints on cliff-faces and hilltops and manage complex production chains that span across great lengths and heights. Manufacture everything from spyglasses to cannons, equip your crew, and build mighty ships to take to the seas and wage war against the Crown. Raid and pillage nearby islands to acquire what you can’t make for yourself, exploring uncharted lands to uncover great treasures and threats alike. Above all, keep your crew in high spirits as your numbers grow – it’ll take thousands of pirates to keep the Jolly Roger flying!

Starting on a deserted island with nothing but the wreckage of your ship and its surviving crew, you’ll need to use the ingenuity of pirate engineering and the power of precariously perched pathways to take full advantage of the opportunities that lay ahead! With the ability to truly build anywhere, the sheer cliffsides and scarce flat land will push you to new heights as you establish a safe harbor for all pirate-kind.

Growing from a humble haven to a formidable fortress, your island is not just a home for your crew, but the last bastion of your way of life. Build everything from living quarters and taverns to piers, cannon foundries, and defensive fortifications to create a truly safe harbor, taking advantage of every inch of flat surface – horizontal or otherwise – to expand your capabilities.

Use complex systems of bridges, ziplines, and contraptions of all kinds to efficiently move goods from place to place. Production buildings will need raw materials, and finished products need to be taken to distribution hubs – the efficient movement of goods across the chasms and cliffs of your cove can be the difference between life and death. Spread your influence across the vast island to gain access to distant resource deposits of everything from iron and copper to lumber and fiber. But beware – as your buildings spread, travel between them becomes more challenging to keep efficient. The looming threat of the Crown’s lackeys requires an armada in response, and a growing population will send you chasing after advanced resources and production chains to meet their needs.

Bread and booze can only sustain a pirate for so long, and the more capable among your crew will demand the finer things in life if you expect them to stick around. What’s more, a fully-equipped armada has needs of its own, with more powerful ships requiring more advanced equipment and specialist crew with their own demands. It takes a lot to upset a population of pirates, but if their needs are ignored for too long, they won’t hesitate to abandon the cause, and leave you truly stranded.

From the drifters awaiting assignment to the fetchers, builders, and workers of varying skill levels operating your production buildings and keeping your supply chains operational, each population type will have its own needs.

At sea, while lowly pirates will happily crew a small ship with some stew, ale, and rum on hand, truly powerful ships need more. With specialists ranging from bombardiers and navigators to marauders and renegades, you’ll need a stockpile of spyglasses, medicine, sabers and more! The most formidable ships, meanwhile, need a crew of elite sailors ranging from the descendants of the first buccaneers to veteran corsairs who require a steady supply of tobacco, pistols, and eye-patches.

Fine-tune intricate, sprawling production chains to manufacture and distribute over 50 different types of goods – food from basic hard tack to turtle soup and roast bird, clothes from slops and boots to fancy attire and jewelry, and everything else ranging from peg-leg prosthetics to bottles of booze and guns of all sizes.

Take to the seas and explore nearby islands for the opportunities and treasures they hold – some vital resources can’t be produced on your island, and you’ll have to set sail and raid locations littered around the map to acquire everything from grain and coin to whale blubber, silver, and wine.

The seas beyond your island are vast, teeming with opportunities and dangers. Use the resources available to you to build ships, hiring and equipping crew and captains to set sail on expeditions around the map. Find and aid others as they aim to rebel against the Crown, uncover great treasures that can help further your cause, and witness pirate myths come to life as you take on monstrous whales, vicious krakens, and otherworldly threats as you seek out legendary pirates to join your motley crew.

Travel to distant lands in uncharted waters to unveil and engage with unique events happening throughout the archipelago. Help smugglers transport their wares, seek treasures hidden in ancient temples, and gamble, raid, and attack enemy forts and fleets to regain control of the seas. The outcome of these events will be determined by the mettle of your crew, and the resources you’re willing to sacrifice – will you pass on your black powder reserves to arm a distant rebellion while weakening your own defensive capabilities, or would you rather leave some sailors behind to train the locals at the cost of productivity at your camp?

Track down and intercept enemy ships as they sail towards your island, engaging them in turn-based combat where the choice of ship, crew, and captain, combined with your tactical prowess, determines the victor.

Erect defensive fortifications in strategic locations around your island to eliminate enemy ships that sail too close in a hail of cannon fire. If your own ships are away, these military fortresses and gun towers are your last line of defense, standing guard as long as you can provide them with a steady supply of cannonballs and black powder.

Corsair Cove will give you the freedom of choice that every self-respecting pirate expects! Pursue quests at your own pace, develop your society along four distinct dimensions, and chase the advancements that best suit your playstyle and priorities as you face off against the Crown.

As you pursue Notoriety, Empire, Seafaring, and Wealth, you’ll unlock new tools of the trade under each category, granting you access to additional buildings, the production chains that come with them, and more powerful ships to take on increasingly dangerous challenges. Chase after the Entertainers’ Guildhall to boost productivity within an area, or pursue ziplines to hurry your pirates along their routes! Build society as you see fit, and take on challenges in your own unique way.

Engage with unique questlines to defeat the Crown, taking on beasts from legend and powerful strongholds alike, and pursuing your quarry through treacherous waters. These quests will take great preparation as they ask you to batten down the hatches and go full-sail into danger, presenting unique combat scenarios and engagements that rely on your ship, its crew, the captain on deck, and your own tactical temperament to see success.

Build a great pirate society and govern over your band of buccaneers to keep the Golden Age of Piracy alive!

I started playing Watchdogs on steam and I spent like hours and hours trying to figure out why I couldnt get a stable 30 FPS on a seemingly ancient game with a video card that didnt exist yet because it's from the future

So like I find peoples suggestions on what to do and what to try and I'm like none of this is working. I finally get something that vaguely works, then i try playing last night and my FPS tanks down into the 10's and its basically a slideshow again.

Thinking to myself okay what the fuck is different I didn't do anything from yesterday. Then I'm like hey wait I had my XBOX controller turned on so I literally just yank the battery out of it instead of waiting for it to turn off through disconnecting slowly.

Automagically my FPS shoots back up to 30+40+50+ and it's all fixed

I can only speculate it might have something to do with the steam input stuff or the overlay or maybe it's the xbox controller its self or its the Bluetooth shit for the controller, No idea but beyond that I can like... play through the main story with mouse and keyboard fine but that's so fucking stupid.

I feel like eating a bullet because my whole team has just been notified that come Sept. our hours are being halved. I guess it's better than being fired, but essentially having my pay cut in half is still damn rough with inflation being what it is. And doubly so with the prices in NY.

I liked this job cuz it was very flexible with WFH. And after my Cancer/Chemo that was a godsend because my body has just never been 100% since then. The corpo higher ups have been sold on the AI dream, and to it's credit, AI is pretty darn good at things like pattern recognition and security accounting. (I work for a Fraud detection unit in healthcare.)

I'm kinda just stunned and mentally struggling.

I find it ironic how a lot of PS people cheered when Sony ended 1st party SP games coming to PC because it was about "protecting the health and future of the brand" while the termination of all future PS physical discs has hurt the PS brand more than 1st party SP games coming to PC ever could.

LMAO at that Bethesda announcement, they are really trying to preempt layoffs lol

A NOTE FROM BETHESDA GAME STUDIOS

We love making these worlds as much as you love playing in them. Today, we want to share what’s next for Bethesda Game Studios and what you can expect from us in the years ahead.
For forty years, we’ve built games that have entertained almost half a billion players. More than just games, these are worlds. Worlds for you to explore, shape, and make your own. Worlds we return to together.

That’s what’s driving us forward. We’re investing more deeply in the worlds players love, giving creators a bigger role in shaping their experiences, and bringing our teams closer together so we can get our games into your hands sooner, support them longer, and continue building them alongside you for decades to come.

STARFIELD CONTINUES
With over 17 million players logging almost a billion hours to date, Starfield remains an important part of our future. As we enter Year 3, we’ll continue expanding the Settled Systems with new stories, targeted gameplay improvements, and additional updates, while preparing for the launch of new Starborn content next year. More than 40% of players already customize their experience through Creations, and we’ll continue investing in creators and giving players new ways to make Starfield their own.

CREATED BY PLAYERS
We’ve believed from the beginning that our worlds belong not only to the people who make them, but also to the people who play them. That’s why we’ve long provided players with the tools to create their own experiences, dating back to the Morrowind Construction Set. This year marked another major milestone for Creations with its expansion to Fallout 4, joining Skyrim and Starfield. We’re proud to say Creators have already earned more than $10 million in royalties from their work.

THE FUTURE OF FALLOUT
Fallout is one of our biggest priorities today. Fallout 5 remains our long-range destination, and we have multiple Fallout projects in active development right now.
Fallout 76 continues to be home to millions of players exploring Appalachia together. With nearly 70 free updates released to date, the journey is far from over. In fact, we have a major Fallout 76 expansion planned for next year: Raven Rock, a prequel story to Fallout 3.
Fallout 4, the most award-winning game in the franchise, just celebrated its 10-year anniversary and recently passed over 35 million copies sold, continuing to attract a new audience every year.
We also know many players want to revisit previous Fallout experiences. While we're not announcing any dates today, we have been working on remasters for both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
Fallout Shelter continues to be the most popular way to experience Fallout on the go, with more than 250 million players. There’s more ahead for Fallout Shelter, including new Seasons. An unscripted Fallout Shelter television project is also in the works with our partners at Amazon Studios and Kilter Films.
We'd like to congratulate Kilter Films and Amazon Studios on the 10 Emmy nominations for Fallout Season 2. Production on Season 3 is already underway.
And while we won't host a traditional Fallout Day broadcast this year, we're already planning something special for Fallout's 30th anniversary in 2027, when Fallout Day will be celebrated live in Washington, D.C.

STUDIO COLLABORATION
The wasteland continues to expand as we team up once again with our longtime friends at Obsidian Entertainment. We're happy to confirm they're working with us on a new Fallout project. We'll have more to share in the future. We're also bringing our teams closer together across Bethesda. ZeniMax Online Studios will partner closely with Bethesda Game Studios on The Elder Scrolls franchise, while continuing to deliver incredible new experiences for The Elder Scrolls Online. Season One: Return of the Thieves Guild recently launched, and the team has more planned for the future. By aligning more directly across the franchise, we can create even better experiences for players.Bringing our teams closer together is helping us build a stronger foundation for everything we create next.

THE ELDER SCROLLS AND BEYOND
That foundation extends beyond our teams to the technology, tools, and systems that will power the next generation of Bethesda RPGs.Our teams are now developing The Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5 on Creation Engine 3, a shared technology platform we've been building since Starfield's launch. It allows our teams to support multiple projects simultaneously with new tools, rendering, and systems that define our games.Fallout 5 is currently in preproduction. The Elder Scrolls VI is our primary development focus today, with the majority of our team currently working on the next chapter of the franchise. With over 65 million copies sold, players are still exploring Skyrim 15 years later, but we know it’s been a very long wait for the sequel. The next chapter is on the way. We’re where we planned to be, loving how it looks, and playing it every day.

THE ROAD AHEAD
Across Bethesda Game Studios, we're building for the future of Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, and Starfield. We're investing in our technology, bringing teams closer together, supporting our live games, expanding into new forms of entertainment, and developing the next generation of Bethesda RPGs.We couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead and wanted to share as much as we could today. We can’t thank you enough for all you’ve given to us and these worlds. And we can’t wait to continue them together.

Sounds like Asha Sharma is pressuring Todd and Obsidian to make some fucking Fallout games lol

More than likely they will end up in more dev hell and mediocre entries.

But whatever they release should be better than Outer Worlds and Fallout 76 so I guess its something.

It is inexcusable to go more than 10 years now without a mainline entry. They got a bit too comfortable endlessly updating 76 and ESO. You gotta do more.

How was the game though?

Oh I didnt played it, but it was clear that they weren't going to have the same success they did with Disco Elysium, and with the studio having more folks they probably needed to move a lot more of copies than what they must have sold.

The people who made Zero Parades for Dead Spies aren't to blame for this.

The asshole "owner" who stole the company from the original creators is.

I will be glad if he gets made bankrupt, but let's not celebrate some talented devs losing their jobs.

You cannot harm a corporation or CEO's without hurting employees along the way, one begets the other, it's how the system is designed.

I know. But that's also not the likely outcome here.

What's going to happen is the devs lose their jobs, those who remain will be expected to work 3x harder to make up for the loss, and the shitty owner will never take responsibility for what they did.

A long time ago if I booted my computer while my iPod was connected to it, it wouldn't get passed the POST screen.

Peripherals, some times they come in from the periphery to center stage, as problems!

currently playing it. It won't escape the "We have Disco at home" feeling, but it isn't bad at all. Love some of the characters, like the crazy doctor, or the fashion obsessed idiot who got himself a 5K debt for a fancy jacket.
