Think I've found my favorite Persona.
You aint seen nothing
Kazuma Kaneko's art is godly. Both surreal and beautiful at the same time.

I may not have the same fondness towards Persona series like some of you have, but the monster/character designs in them are exceptional, especially in older MegaTen games.

Very overwhelmed by the amount of demos in the festival. Guess that's what FOMO does to you! This is very exciting though. :smiling-eyes::smiling-eyes:

Anyway, very excited to try Spiritfarer and Chicory again, alongside Fae Tactics. Will try more games after that~

So the saga of my PC continues.

Got windows reinstalled (10) and during the first installation, I used my backup GPU, gtx 460. (Yes its my backup)

Cool. So tonight I move in the main guy, the rx 470. Nice.

What wasn't nice was the performance. In Immortal Redneck I had got around 125 fps, locked the first weekend of june. Same HW, same version of windows and driver.

Today? 24 fps, regardless of quailty settings. Uengine 4.0, 10 fps same quality settings.

So, again, we've got a problem. Seriously? This is what I do for money, I don't want to do this at home, believe me.

What is likely is that I've screwed myself by doing one of the following

1: Using... not exactly correct firmware for the board. Two different SKUs with different PCIe configs, both use the same chipset. I needed an older bios and I knew it would install and it was what I had on hand. Well, it worked. Noice. (this will have to be changed no matter what)

2: Nvidia before AMD card. This is very, very unlikely to be the issue. I could try the simple thing and roll back windows to a fresh install state (drivers etc) but I might also poke around.

Already eliminated power issue, card seating (seriously, it wouldn't work if it was seated wrong), checking PCIe gen speed settings (this card wouldn't max out gen 2..) basic driver issues.

Fuck it, we're re seating this card.

I tried Obsidian's Grounded game and it was okay, What I didn't like was not being able to figure out how to craft the axe. What I did like was the enemies, they did sort of freak me out when I was being attacked. When I came across the Spiders I just had to book it. I may give the demo another go once I figure out how to do some things

To craft the axe is not too hard.

You have to collect loot.
Then, you have to investigate items you pick up at the limited-use sites (I think something really basic will give you a basic axe recipe)
Then press i to bring up inventory and bring up the crafting tab, you'll have to craft something with little pieces of grass, then you can make the axe.

The game plays a LOT, like a LOT like Ark. But this one seems doable single player. But Ark was kinda neat too.

I definitely really dig the theme and it's cool to see stuff like red mites and gnats. I can really get into the scale.

Lol, bios spi chip got shorted again.

[UWSL]First thing can think of is I'm running sans I O shield. I do this all the fucking time on the bench, have done so np in previous personal builds. Is it technically correct? No sir. Functionally.....[/UWSL]

So now it's time to look for any possible shorts. Ground up disassemble, reassemble, dig up an I/O shield, check wiring, new spi bios chip, windows install.

The deal is getting worse all the time. At least now I figured out what happened the first time shit just went sideways.

Not to get into details about the origin of the board but the system was sent to my company for testing and never asked for it back for over two years. Customer sent another similar system while we tried to figure out the issue spread across many boards.

Mayhap there been[UWSL] a reason they never asked for it back and sent another one. Mayhap there not been a reason. I do remember working specifically with this system, no issues like this were observed at the time. [/UWSL]

[UWSL]This happenes again after full, complete and technically correct rebuild, well, tough titty said the kitty. You accept free/salvage, ain't no returns or exchanges. [/UWSL]

Heavy update soon?

Also I guess that with quarantine some TF2 devs didn't have a lot to do so they patched the game?

By the way I didn't play TF2 in the beginning up I did play at a much later time and there were certain parts of the game that I didn't know were features until they were patched years later. I didn't know that at the begging of missions you would be told what the winning objective was. It was like that for years and then they put a patch to fix that.

anime

CSGO is pretty anime. Why is it not popular in Nippon?

Don't let us down, SEGA. :dana_tense:

Idea Factory will show Death End Re;Quest 2, perhaps. I'm hoping for a couple of localisation news from Spike Chunsoft. Perhaps a showing of Robotic;Notes too (although VN titles are probably too niche for such a conference)

I have many more demos to get through this week, but these two are my favorites so far:

extremely polished pixel-art cinematic platformer

Pikmin meets Zelda with a dash of Luigi’s Mansion, with gorgeous 2D art

Sure I used to play lots of demos back in early PC and console days, but that was mostly because I didn't have much else to play but now, I have more games than I'll be able to even try, so how am I going to start adding demos on top of that?XD

A wild game suddenly appeared:

I won't tell you. Here is my selection of demos, it that makes it easier for you:

They are self publishing?

I wonder if they will update Giga Wrecker I think they said they planned to, a long time ago but instead they focused on the console ports.

Also I heard this game is pretty meh. I may pick it up when it's cheap though

I downloaded demos for

Fae Tactics
Haven
Riftbreaker
Dungeon of Naheulhehububek
Garden Story

but I'll check them out tomorrow.

Today I tried Everspace 2 and Grounded. Both of them were good. The variety is just overwhelming.

I downloaded ZERO demos, I have no idea what to play, there's so much I'm extremely overwhelmed. I think I´m gonna sit this out and wait for impressions.

I had bad luck.
Tried Exo One and while the mood is nice I couldn't make sense of the gravity thing. Looks very limited, or maybe it's just me.
Tried Just die already and I'm not even sure it took 30 seconds for me to scream that at the game.

Oh yeah, KeyWe is cute and has potential.

Look, this forum is already weird enough and I think you've proven your points that anime is weird, and a fetish doesn't make it better.
Please, with all respect, exchange all the pics you like in a separate thread. But can we keep this thread a little bit safer for work environments?

Somewhere else
Sadly, Hardspace: Shipbreaker is nearly unplayable for me. :( When i'm near the hull of a ship or inside a ship, the GPU (GTX 1070) usage jumps to 99%. It goes from smooth 60 fps to 35-40 fps. CPU (i5 6500) usage is at 45%.
The TOTAL lack of advanced graphic options surprised me.

P4G is now up to ~10000 reviews. For comparison, DQ11, which released almost 2 years ago, sits at ~6800, and that was rather successful on Steam too.
(Or, perhaps even more poignant, Trails of Cold Steel 1 was really successful too, and that has < 3000 reviews)

10K reviews already?!! It was only 7K yesterday. :dana_shock:
You have to be careful which number you look at, so that it's not filtered to only Steam buyers (which the number that is used to derive the overall rating is) or to your languages (which the number down at the review list is by default).

Still, the growth is quite ludicrous, especially if you consider that anyone who takes reviewing seriously and didn't play the game on PS previously probably hasn't reviewed it yet.
