I’m sad! Seriously considering dropping clair Obscur. I just hate the combat so much. It’s too difficult for me, and I’m playing ON EASY
The game really needs a slider for parry/dodge timings.

I know the whole “git gud” audience have latched onto this game and, with that, have brought their ableist nonsense with them, but even if you factored skill out you can’t account for input lag. Different input and output will impact that, as will the game’s frame rate.

Feels dumb to die on this hill from the dev’s perspective, so I hope they release a patch to fix it.

I imagine at some point they'll introduce some sort of Accessibility feature for combat QTEs.

Kind of like they did with Dave the Diver (hold key/button instead of mashing it).

But yeah, this is a bit of a non-starter for me as well. I just don't have the patience or acuity for that element of game design.

It's okay though. I can't keep up with my current library rotation anyway.

That's okay, you don't need a French passport, I'm sure there's dozens of countries in the world that would take you in.
I dont even have a French passport, I have a Swedish one! So at least I can go back if they kick me out.XD

Im trying still, I love so much about the game that Im trying to push just a little more. Ill see if I can find a place to try and level grind a bit just to make just a little bit easier.

Yeah, I really wanted to grab this game. Everything leading up to it suggested it would be perfect for me. The story sounds so cool and it's nice to get JRPG styled games that have characters in them older than 16.

Then the reviews started talking about Sekiro/From Soft style difficulty and knew I would never get to play it, unless aditional accessability options are added or cheat engine does its magic.

Completely fake edit because I did some research before hitting post. Maybe this will help as well.

excited for the EU5 announcement on the 8th

I put a couple hundred hours into EU4 ages ago but stopped playing for a while and the DLC changes things up so much that i'd have had to pretty much learn everything from scratch anyways so i've just been kinda waiting for a new one

Tyler McVicker mentioned the other day Valve having another limited build of Deadlock and this just came out as legit. He also mentioned a bunch of stuff related to HL3/X including a possible summer reveal and winter release.

Anyway what I'm trying to say is Half-Life 3 confirmed.

Rockstar was supposed to save console gaming this year.

Turns out it will be Valve that saves consoles.

Get ready for the PS5Pro 800$ Half-Life 3 bundle.

Something something benefits of PC gaming. :smart-thinking-blob:

I haven't even played the game (yet), but I'm also absolutely terrible with parry and dodge timing windows. And it's not even that I'm getting too old for this shit (I'm in my prime :coffee-blob: ), just always been terrible at it for some reason.
Bookmarked, just in case the devs don't officially support something like it by the time I end up buying the game.

I think the important part would be getting your attributes leveled up correctly if you grind things out. I find souls difficulty varies depending on how characters are built with certain builds making the game very easy.

Game is a turn-based JRPG at it's core so there are certain stats that are much better than other stats. It felt like the start of the game was pretty hard the middle of the game was a lot easier once you had stats levelled. You might encounter a bit of difficulty if you start hitting damage caps until you unlock bypass damage cap. At least I feel like I'm finding the game easier because I'm JRPG-ing it.

Also another thing to note is that it looks like the damage boosts in this game are multiplicative. If you want to adjust your pictos towards that. I'm running glass cannon builds on my DPS characters and they die a lot because I end up mistiming the dodge/parries.
