Ok I fucking beat him! I switched to sword instead of axe and it became much easier. I usually like to play the block hit combo but that seemed too hard for some reason with axe and shield, like it took too much stamina so always left me open to getting stuck in the attack combo that the guy did, when fighting with sword that didn’t happen.

Ah I see, that might be a problem then. My main tip for Kingdom Come combat is always try to be passive, not aggressive. Defend and parry will go a long way than going for the offensive.
Yeah as I wrote above it became much easier when I switched to sword and shield instead of axe and shield. Then it was just play defensive and block and hit.

As much as I want to buy fromsoft new game at launch, I am over buying games at launch.

They do have decent regional pricing though.
I'm fine with buying games at launch (or as a preorder) at decent prices. E.g. Nightreign was around 30 Euro. -- that's ok.

This does prevent me from buying stuff from some publishers at launch, but it's not that common, at least for now (the last game I wanted but didn't buy due to launch pricing that I still plan to get when it becomes more affordable was Avowed).

Yeah I'd be happy to support any developer or publisher at launch if the price is reasonable and the game performs well.

I'm 71 hours in in the Hundred Line.
In general I'd say I like it, but it's waaaay too much. I'd prefer a more contained game like 999 or Danganronpa, instead of forcing the gimmick of "100" endings.
You can clearly see that there are some routes or stuff that are there only to reach the goal of having 100 endings and tons of routes.
The quality of the routes themselves goes to very good to very bad.
There are a lot of days where nothing happens or you're forced to do exploration, and it only drags the experience.

It seems the kind of project where the director is not checked and is allowed to do everything he wants, and in fact they ended up being in financial trouble to make this project. It wasn't necessary at all.

I'll play more to get to the routes written by Uchikoshi because they seems really interesting, and then that'll be enough for me.

Sweet Jesus on a Bike !
Monster Train 2 at 25 bucks is certainly sending heavy 'I'm one of the big indie games these days' signals.

Not scandalous, they certainly have earned it, but not having finished the first one and having been hurt by salty unexpected bills, ok bro.

Still, interested to learn if there are big added values or it's just a safe sequel.

Finished Clair Obscur Exp 33 after some 30 hours!

Great game, but I really didn't like its gameplay much. Some fights can be satisfying, and it is visually spectacular, but still the combat is too static for me and mechanics-free, and other than that you just run around corridors and that's it.

What really carries the game is the story/characters/audiovisual design, which is 9/10. I shed a manly tear at the end.

Overall I would give it 8/10, great game but not quite at GOTY level.

Out of curiosity, what difficulty level did you play at? I'm only asking this because at the highest level I feel that if I don't use every combo and advantage I can get it won't end well for me, there's no brute forcing possible and every battle requires preparation, so I really can't agree with your "static and mechanics-free" argument.

The default one (expeditioner?). I still felt I needed to do some careful selection of skills and pictos, but in the end the battles are still just about selecting skills and QTEs and not much else. Especially some fights that dragged on for 30 minutes were just boring.

Been busy with sick kiddos and now been sick myself.

That said, StarVaders is absolutely fantastic.

First one of these games in the genre since Slay the Spire and Monster Train to stand on equal ground. Highly recommend.

Speaking of Monster Train, instabought Monster Train 2, only played a bit and so far it seems like more Monster Train with expanded mechanics and a ton more cards (and more story). Overall seems like a pretty solid sequel so far.

Crazy performance for a remaster. I don't think I've seen any remaster outselling the original, since people already played the game before.

People are hungry for a new Elder Scrolls.
