ReFactory

Hello everyone from ReFactory!

Do you want to build an amazing world that will work according to your laws? Then welcome to ReFactory, a sandbox strategy game where you have to build an automated factory on an alien planet.

The navigation system was destroyed and the spacecraft crashed. The crew is scattered throughout the unknown planet, most of the equipment is broken. You are the artificial intelligence of the ship. Your task is to build a city and restore equipment to find a team and return home.

Copper and iron ore, timber and crystals, granite and oil ... The extraction of these resources is only the beginning of the journey. You have to build equipment, conduct electricity, improve the performance of systems. With each step you will develop the city, although it will all start with a few granite stones.

Expand your boundaries! Gradually, you will open more and more territories, and this is a great opportunity for the construction of new factories and the growth of your city.

Produce more complex things in your own 2D world. Every resource, every new invention and building gives you tons of opportunities. Copper ore can be used to make wire, then make an electrically conductive cable, and then an assembly machine. So keep progressing!

Move from simple technologies to microelectronics, chemical reactions, explosives and plastics. Build a factory and then a whole network of factories. More technology means more opportunities and a higher chance of finding a crew.

Fight with them on your own and upgrade your skills. Building solid walls is the first step in defense. Create mines and powerful cannons, fight with chemical weapons and arm drones — your faithful assistants.

ReFactory is not just about building production sites. This is a world that lives by your rules and knows the cost of every mistake. Misuse of resources will stop development, and outdated technologies will prevent an attack from repelling. So think a few steps ahead and keep your factory safe.

Consider many factors to design your interaction processes: electricity conduction, copper recycling, plant acceleration, economic strategy. New information is introduced gradually, so you quickly get used to it and begin to navigate intuitively.

Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter that marks the return to the iconic all-out warfare of the franchise. Adapt and overcome in a near-future world transformed by disorder. Squad up and bring a cutting-edge arsenal into dynamically-changing battlegrounds supporting 128 players, unprecedented scale, and epic destruction.

Also, the action now centers around sectors consisting of several flags instead of individual control points.

The return of Breakthrough sees two teams – Attackers and Defenders – battle over larger-scale sectors as the Attackers push towards the final objective. Each sector is designed to house a larger number of players, enabling more strategic choice and more flanking opportunities. Approach the capture areas from multiple locations and take advantage of more types of tactical possibilities.

The possibilities are endless when you can customize weapons, gear, rules, and more in this creative sandbox mode. A tense, squad-focused survival experience, Battlefield Hazard Zone combines edge-of-your-seat gameplay with the best of the Battlefield sandbox. Inserted as a four-member squad, you must locate and retrieve critical Data Drives scattered throughout the battlefield, while competing against opposing squads with the same objective and local militias. Succeed by gathering the Data Drives and choosing when to extract before a storm overtakes the area in this high-stakes, one-life experience. Every bullet, every skirmish, and every decision counts.

lashman, your work on these threads each month is, as always, wonderful, but even more so, just want to say again how lovely it is to have your presence, creating threads or not... and all of that. Thanks again!

Some month once again! All Forza Horizon 5 for me, I think - it seems I've now played over a thousand hours of FH4, somehow... so bring on Mexico, I'm excited.

Phew.... this month is a little slower in terms of releases I'm really looking forward to. October was just a bit... insane.

As always, many, many thanks for the thread lashman :cat-heart-blob:

Random, but is Steam chat laggy for anyone? It's always laggy for me. It's a bit annoying when typing and having to wait to see if I made a typo. I'm not sure if there's something I can do to fix it.

SEGA

For that MS and Sega announcement.

Most likely it's the same thing that Nintendo and SIE said about how they will use Azure for gaming stuff. SEGA already uses Azure for PSO.

MFS is among one of the first games to make good use of Azure (remember back in 2013 and MS saying "the power of the cloud"? Well there it is).

So as of right now Nintendo and SIE have agreed to use it (mostly for handling back end stuff? Maybe not for their actual games? Do the Nintendo could based games use Azure?) SEGA seems to be the first pub/dev to say that they are also going to be using the same tech (they likely tested it with PSO and wanted to make it official to better support the features, is MS and stock holders hear that Azure is being used more for games and stuff will more money be invested into that tech?)

Yeah, looks like it's used for MMO or back end stuff. Nothing concerning normal players.

If the version of Control Ultimate Edition on Twitch Prime is a GOG key, it's going to be worth a dollar on the grey market. Crazy how 505 is willing to do that. I wonder what game they'll give Amazon next.

Squadrons ones were as low as 19c. I suspect some will be epic, not keys, just account linking. I didn't bother with the Aliens one last month due to that.

Right now Ghostrunner is 25c AUD, so about 20c USD

I'm thinking Rise of the Tomb Raider might be an EGS key, since it was just added to the store recently. I'm crossing my fingers for a GOG key for Control, since 505 refuses to give us an upgrade path to UE on Steam.

I don't understand some publishers, they complain about Steam 30% cut yet they are willing to sell keys in bulk for peanuts and watch their game being resold for cents. We saw how much Epic is paying for those free games and it is embarrassing.

"Most developers who launch their games for free on the store found that their sales on Steam and on console platforms actually increased after they went free on Epic because of increased awareness and so it's been a really positive thing and it's brought tens of millions of new users into the Epic Games ecosystem and that's been a wonderful thing for the company. As I said I just find it strange that they complain about 30%.

Another great thread, @lash. Thank you for writing to many great OPs the year round.

Currently in the process of finishing up Super Mario Sunshine, and god that game has some devilishly difficult levels. Yet also surprisingly addictive. While a step down from the perfection that was 64, it's still a pretty neat game so far.

Great thread as always, lashman

I actually started to replay Resident Evil 5 just last week, as a Halloween treat. It's my first time playing it on PC, since I played it on X360 back in the day. I got to say, the turning and camera controls are a bit wonky when you play with a mouse, but you can't beat that improved accuracy (over a controller)!
