Hello folks, writing this because I won't be doing any more threads in the near future and likely won't participate much for some time, not in the right mood sadly and my time got even more limited lately. Huge hugs everyone and while you will see me from time to time around here, it will be more limited, see you all.

I finally tried Alpha of Rue Valley (that you can access on Steam or Epic Store)

And i was surprised by quality of the game. Animations are great, writing is good and story is intriguing. Gameplay is also interesting (your traits change as you talk to others and you develop various status effects based on your decisions. Devs say that game will be 20+ hours long and on top all other things game is also looking great and running great on Deck.

You should try alpha and keep your eye on it.

I think I broke my 2TB external hard drive :/
it fell on the floor and now isn't recognized by windows and makes a beeping noise
probably headcrash?
Try getting an SSD one next time. Not only faster, but more resilient too. For anything that can move around, fall down a table, etc, avoid mechanical stuff whenever you can.

I already have a sandisk 2TB external SSD, but never changed to it because the old HDD was still ok...

After 6 great years I pay respect to my fallen comrade. You were the first of its kind and a ray of sunshine, RIP

I've also voted for the steam awards.

Needless to say I was absolutely in love with Metaphor. Can't remember the last time I played a long game in such a short time.

Ah that is excellent. More games should do this, and offer more options for installing stuff in general.
I was thinking about doing this for some of our recent games, but then we got too good at compression :P
(with Daybreak at 15 GB and Ys X at less than 7 GB)

That said, it does make packaging for multiple distribution mechanisms (i.e. GoG, EGS) a bit more burdensome.

Hasbro stock climbed Friday after Elon Musk mused about buying the toy making powerhouse for the rights to Dungeons & Dragons. The day prior, Musk announced plans to start his own artificial intelligence video game studio.

X owner Elon Musk has taken a brief break from posting racism, transphobia, and conspiracy theory nonsense to say that gaming has become too "woke" because the industry is dominated by massive corporations, and so he is going to use his own massive corporation to start a new game studio powered by AI "to make games great again!"

Elon wants to ruin entertainment next.

I wish he'd just play Diablo 4 all day and LARP as a CEO instead of trying to actively screw up the world.

I'm playing a new isometric MMORPG called Corepunk right now. It's pretty good for the most part, but the writing is something. In the first 10 minutes, I met a character that told me that their girlfriend would Hawk Tah their thang and that there is good pussy to smash if you know where to look. Another character is named Marty McMichael who is a person that sells hoverboards from another time period. He has a friend named Doc and is looking for a clock tower. Says heavily a lot. The alchemist is a drug maker and dealer that teaches the person to make joints.

It's not on Steam. This is like the 5th game this year that I didn't get and play on Steam. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is on Gamepass, Stalker 2 is on Gamepass, Escape from Tarkov has its own launcher, The Bazaar has its own launcher. And Corepunk has its own launcher.

Stop everything and give me your opinion on corepunk and the bazaar.
I obviously prefer steam but good game is good.
