Moons of Madness

A mysterious signal has been recorded coming from the red planet.

The message confounded Orochi scientists. Their analysts broke it down and determined it was of intelligent origin. Orochi management immediately concluded that the discovery was too sensitive for public knowledge and moved to keep it hidden. In secret, the corporation began construction of Invictus, a state-of-the-art Mars research outpost designed to identify the true nature of the message.

You are Shane Newehart, a technician stationed at the Invictus and your security clearance means you are completely unaware of the existence of the mysterious signal. Your job is simply to keep the lights on until the transport ship Cyrano arrives bringing with it a new team to take over your duties.

Soon you discover strange and unusual setbacks. Crucial systems are malfunctioning, the greenhouse is filled with a strange mist and the rest of your team has yet to return from their EVA mission.

Things are starting to fall apart.

You begin seeing and hearing things that aren’t there. Visions, hallucinations – or is that even what it is? Is this real… or are you slowly descending into madness?

With your only hope of rescue hundreds of thousands of miles away, you will be forced to explore the real-world fears of isolation and paranoia, enhanced with supernatural elements and cosmic horror. Terrifying visions and monstrous apparitions will make you question what is real and what is not as the very fabric of reality threatens to tear at the seams.

Navigate a functioning Mars base in a game that uses non-fiction elements to immerse players in a believable setting. Overcome obstacles using computers, electrical systems, rovers, solar panels and more, then go beyond the outpost and explore the darker side of Mars.

Moons of Madness draws upon the rich lore and mythology of Funcom’s Secret World Legends. Both games exist in the same thematic universe, but playing one is not a prerequisite to enjoy the other.

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout

The concept of this title, the latest in the series to depict a new "Atelier" world, is "True-to-life youths that develop together, even if just a little bit".

It is the story of a girl and her friends who are about to become adults, discovering what is most important to them.

To depict the story of the main characters discovering things they've never seen before, we've created fields with natural shadows that allow you to feel the breath of the world. Graphics have been further enhanced, allowing for a world of daily-life and adventure to be depicted in a new way.

Happy spoopy month! I'm thinking about watching a couple horror movies, playing Claire's route in RE2, and maybe playing Man of Medan. :thumbsupblob:

I'm also interested in Ryza, Disco Elysium, and Digimon.

New thread smell and all that.
Some cool releases this month. I'm really curious to see how Pine is going to work out.
Atelier ports are usually messed up in some way, right? Still curious about those games because I never tried any.
I still need to check out Mistover demo to see what that's all about too.

I hope Atelier Ryza is as good as that image suggests.

Also, I had no idea Chernobylite is already coming to early access this month. Get Even was pretty good so I'm looking forward for this one.

If Valve does not have a banner for Atelier when it releases I will riot, I mean Code Vein technically has had 2 banners. They got one the "day" it come out (yes it released on the 26th but it did not get the banner until the 27th when it was officially out and selling very well), so there was a THQ publisher sale banner which was then replaced with the Code Vein one, then the following few days the THQ banner would go up and finally the Code Vein one is back up on Steam again.

What other games are out on October 29th?

Tomorrow is when the Destiny 2 banner goes up
Thigh Strikes Again - A Digimon Story

I'm saying this again since the last month thread is now closed.

Sadly... I did not finish any games this month....

I forget who mentioned it but I think some one was saying how there may be the chance that the new Atelier game hit 1 million copies sold? But isn't the thing that while thighs are what bring people in, that the actual combat and all of that might not bring in 1 million people into the game? Do all of these new people even know what the game is about? I have a vague idea of what the games are about and I plan to play it.

Code Vein has crashed on me, there seems to be some weird animation issues with the game, in MHW if you are very far away from monsters they move like a slide show and the same happens in Code Vein, but the thing is that some move like they are in a slide show but the Lost next to them moves normally. I kept thinking that Code Vein had a more linear map but it does not, I kept thinking when I get to this one point it will be the end of the line and I will be sent back the the base to do more story related stuff, but that was not the case. God Eater did have some interesting backdrops but the actual maps themselves were not that great and that does carry over to Code Vein.
Gomen Bandai chan but when tomorrow comes well.....

Or has anyone found any other solutions?

Steam Client Beta - September 30, 2019

The Steam Client Beta has been updated with the following changes:

Note: This update includes a number of fixes for making sure users can keep GPU web view acceleration on without negatively impacting GPU usage when Steam is not in use or a game is running. GPU web view acceleration is important for good new library and friends ui performance. If you have previously disabled GPU acceleration this update would be a good time to try it again.

General:

  • Improvements to prevent new library doing any animation/GPU work when the library window is covered by other windows or games regardless of GPU acceleration settings
  • Some library animations now pause when the library window does not have keyboard focus or mouse hover, even if the window may be visible
  • Fixed a steamwebhelper memory leak impacting Mac and Linux users and some Windows overlay browser usage if GPU acceleration for web views was on
  • Fixed web view GPU acceleration to default on for Mac and Linux
  • Fixed library failing to load for some users with very large numbers of non-Steam games

Linux:
  • Steam Linux Runtime updated (0.20190927.0):
    • Disable obsolete SSLv3 in libcurl, fixing a libcurl problem on Arch
    • Disable LDAP in libcurl
    • Update SDL2

Great OP, as always lash.

God these last months are even worse in terms of new games coming out. It doesn't help that I am playing these long RPGs, were it takes forever to complete them.
