Curved monitors are a tad gimmicky for me, but I do have a really nice (not curved) monitor so I can appreciate a nice monitor in general

curved monitors are trying to serve the same purpose as when you have 2 monitors and you angle them both slightly so that you're looking at them square no matter which monitor you're looking at
