it's even older than 2017, it's 2012-2013 and yes, Valve never enforced it, Reddit post already reported as misleading by media some weeks ago but somehow some outlets still need to publish something when day is slow.Isn't this particular distribution agreement from 2017? And the reports that it is something new were false?
A.k.a valve never enforced it and I doubt they did with rockstar/Take2
both EGS and Steam versions will certainly require the R* launcher anyway, so yeahIf the Steam version requires the Rockstar Launcher then I'm just gonna get it on the Rockstar Launcher, I don't wanna have two launchers opening everytime I start the game.
It is entirely up to you but if you want to see games from Rockstar continuing to be released on Steam then I would suggest this isn't the best thing for you to do. If enough people go "fuck it I might as well just get it from rockstars shite store" then Rockstar is going to start questioning why bother with a steam release. If the Steam version requires the Rockstar Launcher then I'm just gonna get it on the Rockstar Launcher, I don't wanna have two launchers opening everytime I start the game.
just say in my experience with GTA 5 the steam version has had far fewer problems with being downloaded and updated.
They have that Rockstar Social Club thingy, I remember it from GTA V for playing online with friends. It's probably not yet integrated to the launcher, but it's there.I just realised when looking at the Rockstar Launcher there's no friends list, I can't find one anywhere unless I'm being blind
Also if you take a look at the Rockstar Store within the launcher at the bottom of the launcher it says services provided by Digital River. Nope, nope fucking nope. Steam it is.
There is regional pricing. O.O
Yes.There is regional pricing. O.O
I've checked GTA V and it's the same in there as in Steam. So there's hoping.hopefully it'll be the same on steam

Need to check it yourself, but here is mine.Umm, link?
The special edition is slightly more expensive than day 1 GTA V on Steam but still cheaper than PS4 standard edition.

Regional pricing?Check what exactly??
RDR2's price is discounted. Without discount it's more expensive than Cyberpunk. Not great, but reasonable. Still cheaper than Cyberpunk 2077. Oh how the mighty CDPR has fallen.
Right, I missed that red number. Is it a limited offer or what? Why do they strike through it?RDR2's price is discounted. Without discount it's more expensive than Cyberpunk.
WHERE?!Regional pricing?
Should be launch discount. Btw, I think you can upgrade to Ultimate edition for free if you purchase Special edition.Right, I missed that red number. Is it a limited offer or what? Why do they strike through it?
That explains why there is no Standard Edition to buy.Basically the price for the Ultimate is the price for Special, and the price for the Special is for the standard.
Is that always online DRM or like Denuvo only checks once per several days?also "periodical entitlement verification"![]()
So my region basically gets US prices =/
sounds like the same thing that screw me with GTA 5 aka Arxan DRM + social club + R* Launcher + online check every few daysIs that always online DRM or like Denuvo only checks once per several days?
I wish EU did get US prices or even AU prices.
However if you are wanting more practical "non-philosophical" reasons for getting the steam version over the social club version lets just say in my experience with GTA 5 the steam version has had far fewer problems with being downloaded and updated.
So are the pre-order bonuses gonna be Rockstar Launcher exclusive? That’s some shit.
Watch the official Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Launch Trailer that showcases the all new graphical and technical enhancements on display in the PC version, as Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang desperately try to outrun the law. After being hounded off the mainland, Arthur and the gang find themselves caught in a local conflict on the shores of a remote Caribbean island, disoriented and yearning to find a path back to their hidden fortune - and the dreams of a better future promised by their charming and increasingly erratic leader, Dutch van der Linde.
Wouldn't be an issue if cost of living was less and we made near US wages or even had the same dollar power.
I wonder if RDR1 will come to PC anytime soon?
i hope so ... but i doubt it![]()
