Almost an hour of footage from the Switch version of the game with commentary from three of the designers talking about the game itself, the technical side of the game, and the Switch port. As far as I can tell Volition handled this port instead of Deep Silver Fishlabs who did Saints Row 3, but I could be wrong there.
I've watched a bit of the stream, and I think it looks a lot better than Saints Row 3 Switch in terms of performance and general visual fidelity. SR3 was a fuzzy looking game. This definitely doesn't look as good as the modern versions, and might even be a bit downgraded from the PS3/360 versions, but it does look fairly promising considering it's an open world game on Switch. Stepping through the footage frame by frame, there are definitely frame drops when stuff is exploding, but it does look tolerable. The Switch has been getting the rough end of the stick in terms of third party ports of open world games, with AC3 being particularly rough.
