The development status is a little murky, but there is a second DLC in development, too, based on the files leftover in the game.. It's like 10 quests long, including sidequests. It probably takes place during one of the time gaps in the story, and features Kyle Reese and Corporal Ferro. (Ferro is the woman killed in Reese's dream sequence from T1.) Jacob Rivers still seems to be the protagonist. It looks like the DLC opens with a dream of Jacob (as a child?) and his father exploring a school, looking for a time capsule that was buried before the war. Then something goes wrong, and Jacob wakes up. Then the second mission has some conversations with Baron and Jennifer and also Reese. Then the later missions primarily seem to revolve around working with Reese and Ferro. There's a big fight against a Terminator called Centurion. A four legged thing from T2 concept art. The Centurion is already modeled and animated. I suspect it might take place in a stadium. They have a WIP stadium in the files, and they also amusingly have a placeholder stadium taken directly from their Monster Truck game.

It appears you visit a school, you visit the mall from Terminator 2, you end at a Skynet camp, and there's the big grinder Erin talked about with a big mechanical shovel that pushes people in already modeled. You also go to the Cyberdyne building. There's assets for all of this stuff in various states of completion. The dialogue seems to be the least complete section. There are placeholder test to speech voice lines for the first mission in the school, but nothing else. And a lot of the dialogue sequences for later missions are just placeholders. The later missions have more extensive (written) dialogue I was able to find. It seems Skynet makes an infiltrator with one of the main character's faces. Maybe Reese? Based on the dialogue:

"I also don't want to see it anymore. Or my face... on this thing."

There are also assets for a T-600, which is the older model of Terminator with an unconvincing rubber face. But I'm trying to figure out the timeline for this DLC. If it features T-600s, it logically has to take place before the main story. Which makes me wonder if it's some kind of flashback DLC where it jumps around in the past filling in some gaps.

There's also the fact they're working on VR support. I don't know what the nature of the VR support is. Maybe this second DLC is VR-oriented. Maybe the VR support simply turns the main campaign into a VR game. Hard to say.

They tinkered with the lighting/post-processing fairly extensively for daytime scenes, and I dunno how to feel about it. (There is some reflective "it's different, so it's bad" that you have to be wary of.) I guess it's in service of a unified aesthetic, but it does come off a bit generic (Fallout 3 intensifies), a bit overtly post-processed, and it kinda feels like you're wearing sunglasses.

Also, the new lighting is more flattering on some assets, but it can be too dark in some scenes. (It's also a bit unclear how the game's gamma should be set now, since the "made the middle Terminator barely visible" thing is a bit eeeeh.

In their defense, you can roll back to the old version on Steam if you want. And I wouldn't say it's a bad change, per se.

There's all sorts of little nips and tucks throughout the game.

In some ways, it's kinda like a remaster. This is the kind of tinkering you'd expect to see from a game when it gets a Definitive Edition 5 years later.

Is there a source for this? I looked for about half an hour this afternoon and came up empty
I sent Teyon an email inquiring about their plans for the console versions and the GOG version. They said they aren't able to comment on consoles, but GOG should be patched early next week.

One of the level designers on twitter favorited my tweets talking about the look of the warehouse district. So they're definitely aware of the issue. I'm thinking that the dim look is possibly a bug. Because when you're meeting with Baron later in the game and you fight your way out, the sky is bright, and so is the scenery. There's a light green tint over all the daytime scenes, which seems intentional. But the lighting on Warehouse District is pretty out of whack when you compare it to other maps also set in daytime. There's also some oddities with the lighting in Hollywood Hills later in the game. It changes depending on which direction you look.

Participating in the hellscape that is twitter has some positives.

Experience the other side of the Future War in the Terminator: Resistance Infiltrator Mode. Get under the skin of a T-800 series Infiltrator unit and proceed across a brand-new map as you gather intelligence on the Resistance, destroy key outposts…and eliminate anything standing in your way.

The Infiltrator mode update is free for all owners of Terminator: Resistance on Steam.

Loved this game very much (played at release). I want to replay it someday later when I forget most of the story and play the DLC as well (and hopefully more will be out by then). But looking at the comparison screens above I sure hope they will fix that lightning, cause it looked much better originally.

But damn this was a great unexpected game. Even if the difficulty was way too easy at launch. Much better than anything by hollywood since T2.

My impression that some of the visual changes were "remaster-esque" were on the money, I guess. Particularly things like fixing Ryan's hair, tweaking the lighting, etc. I'm just wondering if the PS5 version will be just the current PC version, or whether they have more improvements they'll be rolling out on PS5/PC.

The Xbox situation is a little curious, I have to say. The fact there is no mention of a Series S/X upgraded version AND the game has Dual Sense features, and the next DLC (which I discussed here) is only mentioned to be coming to PC/PS5 makes me think this is a timed console exclusivity thing at the very least.
