I usually watch this stuff in my PC but with the 4k 60fps Xbox thing I'll be moving to the living room to geek out with the big screen.

Are other confs also in 4K, or only the xbox one?
I never understood why they insist on showing these advertisments in a bitrate that destroys all image quality.

Twitch only allows a bitrate up to 6000Kbps as far as I know. And they currently only support h264 as a codec.
This combinations means that only a resolution of 1080p60 is reasonable.
And that still sometimes (often?) produces blocky images.

YouTube recently introduced the new AV1 codec. This drastically reduces the needed bitrate compared to h264.
And in turn it is much easier to stream in a better quality compared to Twitch.
I assume that most bigger conferences will start streaming in 4K when Twitch starts to support AV1.

There's a livechat function too in the bottom of the site, in which i am so far the only one SadFace where the others at

its about time the thing was in the nvidia leak like 2 years ago?!
 
Still doesn't like the UI for confs on here, I pop up the chat to get something easy to read :blobweary:
 
So, will GeoffGameFest be even worse than Playstation Shocase?
