Discussion What are you currently playing? (Week 20 of 2025)

I finished Expedition 33 yesterday, so I’m gonna play something smaller.

I picked up a Playdate a few weeks ago, and I’m going through the Season 1 games.

Next on my list are the ones that arrived about a week ago: Lost Your Marbles and Pick Pack Pup

I finished Rocket Boots Mania. Enjoyable entry in a sub-genre with no name. Micro-speedrunning 3D precision platformer?

Resuming Attack on Titan 2. It's janky but pretty fun. When you get in to a groove the chaining of take downs is exhilarating. The game gives you a nice sense of comradery, fighting the titans together. The game has some sophisticated programming hidden away. Doing a kill move at a bad angle, like say in to a titan's mouth, will not execute regardless as you might expect in many janky action games. The titan will in fact catch you in their mouth and try to chow down on you.

Also, have been slowly continuing my replay of Dishonored 2. I'm making an effort to play differently than I have before.

Occasionally more Forgotton Anne, but it's not really grabbing me and some stuff in the story happened that was just way too obvious from the start. I'll play through it since it's not super long.
Also occasionally a few runs of Blue Prince.

I also started Kingdom: New Lands. It's pretty chill, until it's suddenly not.

Also bought Atelier Ryza 2 while it was on sale. Might be my next bigger time investment.

Haven't fallen into the gacha hole yet.
Kind of intimidated by the story prep I would want to do for Girls Frontline 2.
Soured really bad on the changed, now quite poor intro of Infinity Nikki.
Haven't launched Wuthering Waves yet.

Some incentives: :longswordblob:

There is this popular character called Suomi (you read it right) who wields the Finnish KP/-31 in the game.

She is a gentle girl on the surface...

But her creator had programmed her to be racist against dolls who use Soviet weapons.

She eventually got over it. Now she is just a normal girl terminator who enjoys heavy metal.

The only downside is that she is a limited character. Her banner will likely return after three patches. She is also the strongest support-type character in the game so getting her is highly recommended.

Enjoy.

  • Work preventing me from playing more Clair Obscur. Still in Act 2.
  • Tried Revenge of the Savage Planet. Another game that treats game pass as a 3rd world country equivalent of a platform that it is, lacking dlss that the steam version has. Thankfully performance wise, it runs decent enough so I'm not too bothered by it. Game's fun like the first one. Now with base customizing, creature capturing and a 3rd person view.
  • Just waiting for Doom The Dark Ages now.

I'm slightly addicted to Last Epoch. It's a really good diablo-like arpg. I liked Diablo 1 & 2 but thought 3 was a bit boring. And path of exile on the other hand has an overwhelming array of options with multiple traps and no decent, cheap way to respec.

Last Epoch feels really in the middle of those, in a good way: fun, easy to use skills, you feel powerful pretty much from the beginning, respeccing is easy & cheap. There's 5 classes now with each three subclasses, and you can specialize in 5 skillls and go pretty deep in those, and all the options are fun. There's a rogue that can become a falconeer and build ballista, or become a dual-wielding shuriken-throwing ninja, several options for druids, shamans, beastmasters, a really fun necromancer, paladins, mages...

Still playing Carrier Commander 2. Love this game.

Also have Motorsport Manager on the go.

And i fire up COD for some mindless action sometimes, Done MW1,2,3 (the old ones) and now on BLOPS 1.
