New week, new thread! What are you playing?

Not being able to play much lately. Progress of Yumina the Ethereal:
  • Act 1 Bad Ending
  • Main Route: Kurokawa Kirara - WIP. Chapter 7
  • Main Route: Okitsu Ai
  • Main Route: Midorishita Yumina
  • True Ending Epilogue
Dungeons:
  • Marane's Maw - 20/120
  • Mezelt Tomb - 20/120
  • Key to Heaven Irukaruo - 10/120
  • Path of Cracks- 0/120
Character writing continues to be pretty nice. Story was also okay. Enemies in Irukaruo were tough and fights were getting tedious. :cold-sweat:

Also continuing Fire Emblem Warriors as a side dish. It's fun.

I will likely further reduce my gaming time in the foreseeable future so that I can allocate time to elsewhere. Being an adult is hard. :face-without-mouth:

I need to finish Expedition 33. I spent the night beating all optional bosses and and getting every achievements. Only the boss remains, and given to what extent of min maxing I had to follow to beat the ridiculous optional bosses, and also given that it probably isn't tuned for a lvl 99 party, even without min max, I expect to send him to the spirit world in one shot.

Had to think for some time which ending to target but reading their description one of them is clearly 'better'. And the game obviously pushes you toward it in several key events.

Started the Dead Space remake, really good so far.

Also been playing Farthest Frontier, which is a cool city builder by Crate (Grim Dawn devs), might hold off on this though as it's EA, but 1.0 is coming soon.

Lots of Zenless Zone Zero. Am addicted to the combat and the events are great. Pretty happy with 2.0.
Also tried giving Deadly Premonition 2 a try, but I've dropped it after ~3 hours. Wrote more in the main thread, but the tldr is that it's an embarassingly follow-up to one of my all-time favorite games. Unfortunately it's just terrible.
Also continuing onwards through Kingdom Hearts 3 - just finished the Tangled world. It's a fun game.

Third week in Fantasian Neo Dimension.

I thought I would've finished the game by now, but some late sidequests are more difficult that I expected. Another thing that adds extra time is the random encounters. There is a game mechanic that allows us to “store and stack” these encounters together so we don't get interrupted when travelling on the map, and we can battle the enemies collected all at once when the storage is full.

It sounds pretty good in the beginning, but in late game, these encounters take time, because not only the enemies got stronger, but the random encounter frequency also increases, resulting in the storage getting full much quicker.

Oh yeah, past level 35, the earned XP from these encounters is also severely reduced if the enemy levels are lower. Which makes sense, but with how many of these random encounters are unavoidable, it's considerably less exciting and more of a chore.

I wanted to feed the Switch 2. Switch 1 prices are totally ridiculous and I can't choose, so ruinous impulse.
So instead, fuck that, I started Bloodstained on deck. Thinking about comboing that with Nirvana Initiative.

Metaphor is something that seems easy to come back to if you've taken a small break, at least 25-ish hours in. I like that combat is nice and snappy. I find it awkward how the game has to buckle to accommodate team composition often being the sole factor that defines whether you can win a fight or not, at least on hard. I had to tone down the difficulty to normal because constantly restarting just wasn't fun.

When it comes to Switch games, I always buy used. Used copies should still hold values but I guess they can help save a few euro.

My original plan was to continue Boltgun (which I will, I liked it, and I never abandon a game I know I can finish fully without issues), but when Nexusmods got sold to a bunch of crypto/AIbros early in the week I had to rush there and update/download my full Skyrim modlist before the site turns to complete shit. And so I'm this week was dedicated to make sure Todd's magnum opus works without issues
