New week, new thread! What are you playing?

Continuing Tears of the Kingdom. I haven't completed all the sidequests and shrines yet, but after 120 hours I felt the burn-out so I went ahead to fight Ganondorf. Unlike Ganon in Botw, this was an excellent boss fight. It also reminds me of the final fight in Skyward Sword (which was my favorite Zelda final boss fight).

Overall, I think Tears is a better game than BotW, despite the disappointing Depth. Meanwhile, Breath of the Wild was the ground-breaking one, delivered a magical experience that truly unforgotten. Either way, both games were excellent in their own ways. I look forward to seeing how the developers will continue to innovate the Zelda series in the coming years.

Still playing The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy.

Still enjoying it, but this will be far and away the longest game I play this year.

I finished the Penacony chapter in Honkai Star Rail. I had points where I loved it due to legitimately emotional moments the scene where the Express crew say goodbye to their predecessors was near MGS3 ending tier and points where I hated it due to padding It was all a dream. I used to read Word Up magazine.. You can tell the devs loved Persona 5 Royal as Sunday is just diet Maruki. Anyway it's the first time I've actually enjoyed a gacha game for its writing and thought it was really good overall, but I'm putting it on the back burner for awhile so I can play other stuff.

I also started Silkong. Nothing interesting to report there as I have only played about 3 hours and haven't reached the pain yet.

I barely touched anything since I finished Silksong. Went back to Street fighter 6, but not much.

I guess I'll get back to Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and play 0.2 and the movie and then I guess I'll finally start III.

Ended Silksong. What a ride. Tough as nails at some points with a few real bullshit fights. Almost certainly will end on my Goty list.

Continuing Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. The voice acting really adds another level to the plot in this game. I knew there was politicking going on but its different when you hear the shadiest person whisper the lines. Really great work in this, honestly.

Not clear how far the rebalancing has gone, some fights are definitely easier but I have also played this game a ton of times so know when the most insane fights are, and know to be prepared. Still, the level curve seems to require less grinding which is nice. And being able to decide when to take random battles is a HUGE help.

Absolum: I really loved Streets of Rage 4. I don't like the Beat'em Up genre. But SoR4 felt as if Street Fighter had a good single-player mode. It felt like a fighting game. The weight, flow and the combo system felt great. Some of the SoR4 developers, Dotemu, worked on Absolum, so I had to try it out. So, yeah, if you like Streets of Rage 4. And especially if you like Hades on top of that, then you should enjoy Absolum. Gives that thrill you get from fighting games when you open up your opponent's defense, then combo them. Also has those Hades moments where you fall in to a really broken build that makes you a god. SoR4 had annoying combo-breaker enemies who do nothing else but try to jab you out of your combo. They toned that down in Absolum, which I like.

An early boss fight, using the dwarf character: https://cdn.steamusercontent.com/ugc/11701312718384840779/A70A41C7EE6A8C7BA4B68B531E7F437A14708F82/

I have been playing the endless mode in Fights in Tight Spaces. Gameplay is the same but the progression works different from the main game. I can barely make it to stage 20 (at hard difficulty). Saw someone on the steam forum said they reached 700 something stages. Not sure what difficulty they were on but that's crazy.

Bunch more Silksong.
I'm definitely taking more time than most, though I haven't looked at HLTB yet.
Also haven't looked at a guides or anything but since I'm feeling like I'm closing in on the end I took a look at a map online to see where I could look for stuff I've missed. Kind of surprisingly complete map actually, couple of rooms here and there that I missed.

After the massive SRWY behemoth this week was a bit more casual (especially since FMW is coming next week and if I start it it's going to turn into a second 100+ hours affair). Installed/played some more casual titles (something that I don't fully dedicate too, or games I mostly play on Deck) with Class of Heroes being the main one since I was in a DRPG mood
Well, that's on the Steam side. Outside of Steam since GZDoom is most likely at its final version while waiting for its successor to get ready I went and re-set wadfusion/Doom Fusion (incredible utility, successor to wadsmoosh and hightly recommended for maximum convenience since it combines all Doom releases into a single pk3) up and now I'll probably Doom this upcoming week end out
