The Steam Controller is the most PC controller ever. Well, there were some weird ones in the 90s. The most PC Controller on the market at the moment.

The config tool was my puzzle game of 2015. It's amazing what you can pull off with a little understanding. Hopefully, it's easier to get into now that Steam Input is being used with everything. If you guys ever have any questions, feel free to @ me. If you hate the controller and just want to yell at someone, don't @ me.

Hot tips: Use mouse on the right pad whenever possible, add gyro when you level up. Mouse Joystick when desperate (jack up the in-game sensitivity). Don't be afraid to go all keyboard/mouse for a config if a game doesn't like to mix and match. Look into replacing the left d-pad with a touch menu or radial menu with more complicated games. One main config goal is to rarely ever use the face buttons. Most importantly, have fun.

Oh boy. The Steam Controller is 5 bucks and you can order a bunch at a time. This is the first time it's been on sale in a year. This may be the beginning of the end, or the beginning of the beginning. Hoping for a V2.

Thanks, I've wanted to replace my launch Steam controller that broke (after thousands of hours of use), but I didn't want to pay the full price in case they announce a v2.
Got 2.

Interestingly enough you can nominate Gujian 3 even though it came out last year. I guess they were smart enough to detect that it "released" in english this year?

You can nominate Gujian3 because it was released after last year's Steam Awards Nominations

Steam said:
For every category except Labor of Love, only games that released on Steam after the 2018 Autumn Sale (November 27, 2018 at 10AM Pacific) will be eligible for nominations. For the Labor of Love category, all released games are eligible for nomination.

The previous times yes, this time it explicitely mentions you can only nominate games from this year (except Labor of Love).

Ah that explains it. Should have read the entire thing instead of glancing over it and assuming "2019" 😅

You're living in the past!
(The rules changed this year)
They changed it for this year. You can only nominate games that were released after the last award

Well... it is letting me nominate Gris (December 2018) for Visual style, so all is well :) (gorgeous game with unique art style).

Have to think more on my GOTY... so for now it goes to Supraland.

clicked on "Labor of Love" award and got Half-Life 2 as a suggestion...

Now I can't think of a better candidate after seeing that Alyx trailer. It just feels so right voting for it :)

I wish I could enjoy Gujian3 as you guys but something isn't clicking with me (yet, at least).
For me it pretty much clicked right away. It looks soooo good and I'm a sucker for wuxia/xianxia universes in games because there just are so few available in english :(
And I'm used (to dealing with) not great translations for those games (because there are no alternatives..) :/
The game just hitting you with new thing after new thing and getting more and more massive was just the icing on the cake.

No, elegible games must have released between last year's Fall sale and this year's sale, anything outside that time can't be nominated, this has been one of the changes.

FDG doing that thing again where they forget to discount their games on Steam. Monster Boy was just 50% off on GOG.

Something I didn't learn until quite recently with the Steam controller is that you can turn off the "d-pad" requiring an actual press and turn it into a touch-d-pad, which makes it less the worst d-pad :p

I can't decide on NMS or Terraria as my labor of love vote. They both feel deserving of it. I know Terraria has another big patch coming soon too.

Yeah, I wish you could make that a default, it's the first thing I change in every game.

Might buy it for Lost World and Forces
Eh keep in mind a few things
1- Lost World was their attempt at making a platformer but for whatever reason made the platforming more frustrating than it should be
2- Forces is a pretty light and simple platformer, so go in with low expectations.

Yes, Amid Evil is awesome. Also Dusk is good if you don't have it.
So Amid Evil, Ion fury and Dusk, don't have any of them. Which one is the best? Don't need to buy 3 of the same "type" of games at once. Kinda want all of them though. Will see what I do.

I played Dusk and Amid Evil, and although I liked them both, the first one seemed better to me, especially the level design.

Get them all, they all play differently.

Ion Fury is like a huge DN3D, Dusk is like an awesome Quake style game and Amid Evil is like Hexen/Heretic
