I welcome the story, because it will make it all the sweeter when these angels and demons eat shotgun shells~Too many cutscenes
Always good to see a new Lalafell join the cause! So I tried the FFXIV trial and well shit, I actually like it. Interested in buying it on Steam, but I don't like wanna pay a monthly sub.

Lalafell mafiaAlways good to see a new Lalafell join the cause!
I played it but was less impressed than many I guess. I feel like it leans way, way too hard on RNG and there aren't very many meaningful choices per run, which is the opposite of what I want in a deck builder. Neoverse is a waifu-looking knockoff but I actually think it's designed better mechanically to make it a better deckbuilder. I could list out all the issues I have with Slay but yea, too much RNG sums it up.Reading some goty lists in here, I'm starting to realize I'm the only one that played Slay the Spire...
I'm with you. It is an almost good-to-great game ruined by a few things. My time was pretty boring and frustrating and I pretty much had to cheat to find some fun in the later part of the game to finish it out, This is coming from someone who has played some janky-ass Metroidvanias in the quest for more good ones too.My (extremely subjective) list

Turd of the year
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Sorry. I absolutely hated my time with it.
KT is weird especially when it comes to how they do stuff on Steam. An example of this is DOAEV, the game is region locked (I have it anyway) and yet it gets constant updates the the Steam what's new thing.
I did one run and my biggest issue is that it's just... so... damn... slow. I think the concept is something I might really enjoy but the execution is lacking.I played it but was less impressed than many I guess. I don't think they'll do their own thing during E3. They would have said it otherwise. In fact Sony hasn't announced new events in forever now. Only announcements they've been doing for the past couple of years is the announcements that are cancelling/no show events.I gotta say, in one way, it's sad because I always liked their press conferences and it was part of the fun around E3 time, on another hand, they could easily just make their own event and stream it, might cost less and due to no ESA around it might give them more freedom to do things the way they want.
Still, the last bunch of showcases (state of play and press conferences) have been weak from Sony imo.
Humble is also doing Atelier sale. The prices are cheaper with the subscriber discount, but Steam still have cheaper prices on bundles
Damn, I need to play this. I bought it at launch then something else came out and played that instead. I'll add it to my backlog blitz.A Plague Tale: Innocence
Ok so what Atelier games do you guys recommend?
...where is your anime avatar?
Various prominent game devs have said things in the past that nowadays don't necessarily hold up."Story in a game is like story in a porn movie. It's expected to be there, but its not that important" - John Carmack
Time to fill out the bug report form once again,Also this:
Atelier Sophie is a good starting point. No time limit and the alchemy mechanics are pretty good. The subsequent games have minor iteration from the same system, but I recommend starting from Sophie.Ok so what Atelier games do you guys recommend?

My friend bought a qualified motherboard a week prior and just got a “no result” thing under product rewards so that sucksWell that's nice. So about 6 days ago I tried the MSI Monster Hunter World Iceborn promotion:
Unleash Your Hunting Spirit | Gaming Motherboard, Gaming Monitor, Gaming Case | MSI Global
Buy selected MSI gaming motherboard, monitor and case, get the Monster Hunter: World base game* and the Iceborne expansion FOR Free.www.msi.com
But my parents bought me the MSI monitor a bunch of days before the promotion eligity started, but I tried and sendt in the receipe and monitor barcode anyway.
And it worked.
Downloading Iceborne now on Steam. Have barely played the game, but looking forward to starting again.
I'm sorry it had to be like this friend.

Hopefully lash's efforts to convert the anime folk here will become more and more effective as the year goes, I can't wait for all of you to be freed from the shackles of anime
Enjoy three broken ports, each one in it's own way.I may have just spent a ton booking for Combo Breaker, but you know I'll always be there day one to support my anime
Don't worry, if Ryza's anything to go by, they'll patch it a month or two from now.Yikes at that Atelier screenshot!
...I already own the trilogy on Vita, so I'll just play them there.
Eventually.
When I get to it.
