I think I somehow got addicted to SaGa: Scarlet Grace.

The battle system has even more potential for depth than I expected. When you start to understand it you feel great because you moved enemies in position before killing them to get united attacks. Then you figure out how to cut enemy groups into chunks by delaying your own characters. But even later the true galaxy brain strategies come into play, like knowing that a character is probably going to die but moving them into the group so that at least the death will have a positive effect.

It also took me a while to figure out how to learn a much greater variety of magic on my primary caster. It's all a bit obscure and sparse in terms of explanations, but figuring stuff out and using it to my advantage is what I like most about JRPGs so this is perfect for me.

I'm also surprised at how intricate some of the sidequests are. And sometimes the rewards are really cool, like dual wielding for urpina -- which by the way synergizes amazingly with the formation that reduces sword skill BP costs.

Finally, I read somewhere before I started the game that even the character models grow on you, and I couldn't really believe it, but now it's true. Sure, it's low-tech, but the art style is consistent and pretty different from everything else out there.

In short, I like it a lot.

Does Nvidia's new "Maximum Framerate" feature eliminate the need for RTSS?

So far in my experience, yes. Locked at 141 FPS in the games that need a lock - appears to work just fine.

Without revealing the game (moreso to CYA, you guys understand) I will say that the port I'm talking about isn't the worst I've seen, and does have some redeeming qualities.

It's really 2 sticking points that hold it back in a big way.

Ay hold up Star Wars Force Unleashed 1 is from 2008?!?!? Shit I remember this game from my early years at Shoryuken.com forums. I even got it on PS3, but man going back to these ye olde games....this game's damned CGI cutscenes are some PS2 era shit. Everything else is OK looking but dang are levels long XP
I'm just gonna rush through them and like force throw people to their deaths

Also does this game not have gfx config options? O_o NVidia Inspector works fine on it at least.

That's what I said; the character models in SaGa SG you get used to them and end up liking it a lot more than expected.
For magic users, long as they cast a spell of a specific element they can level up that element at the end of a battle. So if you have a 1 Star Terra spell, keep using it in every battle, it doesn't even need to come out, just consume Stars for it and it can level up eventually.
Also to Rank up an attack or spell, you must reach Lvl. 16 for that weapon or element, then Lvl. 30 or so for the next rank.

Casting 3-turns AoE spells which have been reduced to one by BP reduction bonus after a united attack is so satisfying. :02comfy:

I'm amazed nothing has been said about the VR content of Ace Combat 7 coming to PC? The exclusivity period for PS4 is now over

So is Michonne coming back as well? Or as it uses a character from the show/comic is it different?

With games being available on all platforms is certainly a good step! I mean I remember thinking way way back that it was strange that games weren't like, as I looked back then at VHS, one format but machines from all over. I always thought games had to go the same way, just surprised it took so long to see the first signs of it.

Alright, so here's the deal with Utawarerumono on PC:

Pros:
-Good keyboard and mouse controls, button prompts for KB/M, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4

Cons:
-internally capped at 720p/30, although output resolution can be changed.
-Text looks like this:

The fuck is that text?

Bad fonts seem to be the norm for PC VNs, though. Steins;Gate was also bad about this, only really fixed with the fan patch
It's good that Sony doesn't even pretend these games are exclusives, but actually lists all platforms for them. That being said, I still wish
Platinum
Gearbox hadn't gone for that Epic money, they don't need it and it would certainly make more money long term without it. A day and day release, with that Sony marketing would sell millions on PC on Steam, GOG, and other places.

Platinum?
Hmm, sorry, got confused there, wasn't there a similar game announced at a E3 or Game Awards a while back by Plat?

EDIT:
It's Babylon's Fall. Looks like it's release by Square, so there's better chances than with Gearbox that it could actually come to Steam

Anyone would want to split the Sweet Farm bundle? I would only gotten the Stardew Valley from it.

Does this shitty port still has audio problems?
I get the -exact- same results. Whether in 5.1 or Stereo mode, the music comes from the front-left (or left) channel only. Unbelievable.
