i only have a PC, sorryI need somebody to help me post news about fighters that aren't on PC. I ignore them because I'm not interested in something I can't play.
Will it come with the mobile garbage? Apparently people are mad the Steam one won't. So they'll still have that ... if they still have it.I'm curious to see the price, since they aren't including the codes for Granblue.
Also the community manager at Marvelous wasn't happy about this, he deleted his tweet but here's what he had to say:
Yeah, people sure love their gacha! Will it come with the mobile garbage? Apparently people are mad the Steam one won't. So they'll still have that ... if they still have it.
EDIT: Oh, you mentioned that and I can't read. We know they'll still charge just as much because... I mean... c'mon. If people really want the mobile codes then they'll buy the PS4 one and resell it.
Yeah, people sure love their gacha!
I wonder if there'll be a time when crossplay and proper netcode becomes a thing. Because right now, this will be yet another discord fighter past the first week.
I don't think i have ever tried a SNK game online so i don't know how bad it is other than the horror stories i have heard, but i played Blazblue CT and CS on last gen consoles, and some GGxrd and it was... well what you would expect. Not for ArcSys or SNK, but people need to be yelling at SNK more. Their in-house netcode is objectively worse than ArcSys'.
You haven't had the joy of trying a modern SNK game online? Oh boy, you would be begging for ArcSys netcode at the very least. Luckily I enjoy power rangers, KI, and get some of the classics with rollback netcode. The former two don't take long to find games, but you'll need discord for any old SNK game or SF 30th anniversary. I also fuckin' love MvC:I and so does my friend. I only need one friend to play with to make it worth it.I don't think i have ever tried a SNK game online so i don't know how bad it is other than the horror stories i have heard, but i played Blazblue CT and CS on last gen consoles, and some GGxrd and it was... well what you would expect.
I mean, what's the point of a fighting game where you can't play any other human because the netcode is shit/the community is small and spread out. I don't want to play SF or MK or even KI to have a decent netcode.
I was thinking of fighting games only, but now that i had more time to think of SNK games online, i think i remember playing some Metal Slug on 360, it had online coop, and it was trash. Can't imagine a fighting game with such shit netcode. You haven't had the joy of trying a modern SNK game online? Oh boy, you would be begging for ArcSys netcode at the very least. I was only talking about fighters. I have no idea what their other stuff is like, but anything by CodeMystics is good.I was thinking of fighting games only, but now that i had more time to think of SNK games online, i think i remember playing some Metal Slug on 360, it had online coop, and it was trash. I wish i liked SFV more, or MK/KI so i could actually play. These days, it's hard to buy a game on Steam to play 90% training mode and spend the rest 8% in discord making appointments and 2% actually playing. Especially for full priced games.
Well Capcom said that the points gained there ( and for other 2 events ) won't count for the Capcom Pro tour. So i bet a lot of attendants just bailed anyway, sucks for them since it was the first Premier event of the season. Plus GBVS won't even be out there officially until march 27, despite them being part of the Arc World Tour.
Then you add the virus thing, and might as well just cancel it.
Haha, true.I'm gonna be an evil motherfucker and say "PC release, though."
They have someone there who is working on it that will make sure it doesn't come out fucked up like SFV's did. I don't trust ArcSys, but I trust him.Rollback netcode confirmed for GG Strive

My worries is that their own Rollback option is not that good or has problems, but who knows.
Yeah I know who you're talking about, I found out later that they at least have someone who made a really great netcode for another gameThey have someone there who is working on it that will make sure it doesn't come out fucked up like SFV's did. I don't trust ArcSys, but I trust him.
He's also working on his own game called Fearless Night. </shill>Yeah I know who you're talking about, I found out later that they at least have someone who made a really great netcode for another game
looks neat, i'll keep an eye on it.He's also working on his own game called Fearless Night. </shill>
You can still find people at all times of the day.For the people that have Granblue, is it discord fighter status yet ? Or could i go into a lobby now and find people to play ?
With Strive getting rollback netcode, hopefully the situation changes in the future for other fighting games too, would help with getting access to more people to play and with decent quality too.
I guess it being a known franchise is helping it a bit. Been resisting buying it, price and netcode and all. But i kinda want to play it, and it's either buy now full price and get matches or buy later on sale when the player base has dwindled. You can still find people at all times of the day.
If it's anything like DBFZ, updates will make the game boom again if it ever starts to drop. Adding a character here of there is nice, but balance changes always get people coming back. As the game is right now... just pick Kat. The fact it's based on Granblue is definitely helping it. That and PS4 players who are fed up with the loading times.I guess it being a known franchise is helping it a bit. Been resisting buying it, price and netcode and all. Decisions
Hmm, I think it depends in some cases. Most of the top ten are legacy series that are the face of fighting games and the only two exceptions are Granblue, a newly released Arcsys game and Rivals of Aether which is a very popular smash clone with insane modding community. Having rollback for games like Skullgirls and KI helps immensely in keeping the online community alive in the longrun, and from what I heard Power Rangers has crossplay on all platform so that gives it some life, but yeah it all depends on marketing, artstyle and how the game plays to attract and keep newcomers. It also shows there is no correlation between a game's popularity and the kind of netcode it uses.
