Been happening here for the whole week.Haha we had our first "people standing in their windows and giving applauds to the heath care workers", its a french thing?
It should be close to your home, not necessarily the closest one.So when going to the store, does it have to be the closest one or can one choose? Do you know how it's in France? Wok
Ah ok, but yeah at least it's in the same arrondissement. Also are the stores open normal times? Trying to check the times for Casino stores online but it just says 24h open, ehm.It should be close to your home, not necessarily the closest one.
Say you have to walk 1 hour to get to the store, you might be checked and not very convincing. Police might assume you are making fun of them.
I think you should be okay if:
That being said, I have not been checked yet, as I stay home as much as possible.
- you have the paper with the date and your signature ready,
- and you do not go further than a 20-minute walk from your home.
It depends. The place where I buy my bread from opens 1 hour later and closes 3 hours earlier than usual, and they are open 5 days/week instead of 6.Also are the stores open normal times?
People in italy going to shop for food 5 times per day.So, the 2 persons in my family that were still inexplicably going to work are now coughing
They'll stay home from now on of course... I just hope my parents won't develop severe symptoms at this point, they're not super old, but still 3% chance of death for their age group for now in Italy.
But it's really stupid, lots of companies here are still against working from home, wanting to see the employees at their desk...
I've been working from home for the past 2 weeks at least, but too many people are still outside: I've never seen so many people running / biking / walking around here... Stupid all around.
My mother said that yesterday at the dairy shop (not sure if this is the word, but the local place that produces and sell dairy products) the people there were telling her that some old guy kept coming every day to buy 1 mozzarella. So they decided to stop making them and only produce products that have a longer shelf-life, so that people can't use that excuse to get out...
Again, stupid all around.
That's a pretty good video (as usual for the channel), second half of it should legit be put on all TV channels once a day
This is rather scary and makes the reality of the virus much clearer.
What? What are they buying?People in italy going to shop for food 5 times per day.
Goverment is pretty much going to issue stricter measures soon here
yes -- and every person who see info like this, understands it and adheres to the tips showcased is one more person helping to fight the curve, helping to keep the spread low.
This is rather scary and makes the reality of the virus much clearer.
I am not sure it is a good idea. Even for the people who wear actual medical masks. They made themselves some masks
Yes, that would be the sane thing to do, but we're talking about 80+ year old italian women, there's no sanity leftI am not sure it is a good idea. Even for the people who wear actual medical masks.
Indeed, I see so many of them touching their faces and masks all the time to adjust it. I am confident that it is safer to stay at a one-meter distance from other people, avoid touching one's face outside, and wash hands and face when you go back home.
This was the reason I had to come into the office on short notice today. Had to help bagging 1000+ "letters of indispensability" signed by our CEO for our employees, so that we could get them to the post office by 6 pm. Someone up top got spooked and they want our workers to able to come in to work (food processing plant) even in the event of a curfew. So, after more and more cities already started to do so individually, there'll be a conference on sunday about a nationwide curfew in Germany.
It's pretty much expected that it'll happen.
As great as it sounds, isn't it normal in case of unemployment? The government has said theyll pay 80% of peoples wages
same here ... except all of them are booked for at least another monthand the supermarket is delivering food
Shouldn't the state get lots of cash now with all the fines they can hand out to those?XDParis today, sending its citizens forlockdowna leisurely weekend at the countryside:
They should, but sadly, I don't see that happening on the video and the pictures.Shouldn't the state get lots of cash now with all the fines they can hand out to those?XD
As tempting as it is to condemn people, we don't know the whole story there. This is the first week-end of confinement in France if I'm not mistaken and people's situation might require them to move. Some of them might be selfish idiots, but I'm sure there's a story behind a lot of them trying to travel.Paris today, sending its citizens forlockdowna leisurely weekend at the countryside:
Expect more safety measures in France.
Sorry, I phrased that badly. I meant that it's not about simply escaping, but probably for other reasons : people needing them, or having good cause to move away if that video was shot in the capital. Fleeing out of concern only spreads the virus, and I don't doubt some of them are doing that stupid thing.Yeah I don't think it's simply that they want to travel, more like they want to escape Paris. Continue confinement with family and such.
True. These are exceptional, historic times and who knows what their circumstances are.
