yeah, apparently none of the bigger publishers really give a fuck about their pricing (or regional pricing) ... for some reason
It seems to be a weird division of knowledge that bigger game publishers specifically have. There are obviously people at Paradox who are aware and are responsible for setting sales prices, the rest of the company just seems to not be aware that is the case. I suspect it's to try and minimize bad feedback when shit is awry but it's bad consumer practice to isolate it like that.

apparently

literal gambling

I would normally defend tournaments like this, as it does in fact take a good bit of skill to come out on top, except they went with the worst format possible for Day 1 (single game matches in Magic have always been maligned, with good reason, in physical or digital tournaments). Due to the single-match format it is weighted gambling day 1 but a normal tournament day 2.

Edit: Worth mentioning Magic Arena is functionally identical to physical table top Magic CCG which has been a very competitive game for decades, barring a few stupid metas where I would personally say they were down to RNG entirely.

Ever since the EVO announcement (actually, before), Skullgirls has been getting super regular updates. Improved netcode and a bunch of stuff, including improved UI.

I appreciate the blurred ORIGINAL.

And my favorite:

  • And, for everyone who expressed opinions about the SonicFox NPC, good news! We fixed his* feet, the shadow is correct now. :^)

Dropping Valhalla Hills. I dont mind a RTS/Town building hybrid with automatic combat but when your soldiers AI is braindead and the game wont let you do multiples saves every attack is a trial and error exercise. it doesnt help that there is a hard limit on how many vikings you can create per map, and if they die the number doesnt reset. Sandbox games that dont allow you to experiment are trash.

It's insanely shitty when developers decide to add content and modes to console versions, and forget about the PC version.

Case in point: Draugen.
When the game launched, a comic was supposed to come out soon after, both on Steam and GOG.
A year later, it's still unavailable.

I saw the game on sale, and I was searching for news if the comic was finally available.
It is. On the console versions (along with an additional soundtrack mode). Naturally, PC gamers got nothing.

Developers who pull this crap really piss me off.
Charge for the content as DLC, if you must, but at least make it available on PC.
Don't leave the PC version as the outdated "bastard", while the extras and further support are reserved exclusively for consoles.

What looks like a tasteless cash-in at first glance actually seems super interesting when you dig deeper.

It's like Plague, Inc. in reverse where you're racing the clock to deal with the the covid pandemic. Plays out like a grand-strategy game and it looks super polished to boot.

Looks like the dev is also donating 20% of their profits to covid-research.

I'm drunk off my rocker (again, but for a good reason!).
Just wanted to let everyone know that I appreciate you all for being here and sharing a variety of views, thoughts and news on game-related subjects.
I especially want to thank those who are humorous (perhaps even inadvertently so) in these relatively dark times.
Hope you are all enjoying your days, afternoons and evenings; here's to you, Metasteam.

Beat Gravemind on legendary with Gevin.

What a nightmare of a level. And Blow Me Away didn't play at the end because I didn't have the original graphics on...just terrible.

Lets say I buy Assassins Creed Odyssey gold edition on the Epic store, how do I activate it on the uplay client?

If it's like the freebies, you need to just use the EGS client to link to your UPlay client. Once the game is added to UPlay it doesn't require the EGS anymore.

I still think it has to be C&C related.

June 2020 - Hug the Ion Beam.
Yurie 2020 - Fetch me some cake slave. (although he isn't in the remaster)
June 2020 - Bold Head with bold plans.
June 2020 - We need more Silos

The best is still from Stevey with Welcome Back commander imo.

And that's Drakengard ending 3/5 done.
4/5 looks hard, at first glance missions are spiky.
5/5 look improbable except miraculous XP

June's free Stadia games are:

Get Packed, Little Nightmares, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, SUPERHOT, Panzer Dragoon Remake, and The Elder Scrolls Online (June 16).

Will try Get Packed and Panzer Dragoon Remake since they are not on PC yet.

All of this and not a single penny spent on Stadia ever, good shit.

What are your general impressions of the service? Are games fully playable or is latency an issue?

It works well for me so far framerate wise, but the graphics can get blurry at times and some colors (like black) can get weird. Got Grid for free 1-2 months ago, tried it, but game was really blurry despite setting the stream setting to 4k, so I went to Steam and wishlisted it.

So framerate wise, it's okay, graphic wise, it can be a "rollercoaster".

Still overall, I would never buy anything on Stadia. The notion of buying games I can't download, only having on the servers, which can go down at any time, is hell. I also like to mod my games and cheat at times, which I can't do either.

I pretty much just use the free Stadia Pro as a demo service, just like game pass.

I also found Metro Exodus (was given away last year I think) to play weird as hell compared to the PC version. Can't set a finger on it, but it played weird.

Still playing the wonderful 101.

So is there a "trick" to dealing with off screen enemies that use range weapons or do I just have to run around like an idiot to keep track of their attacks? I'm not sure if there are really recognizable sound cues either, the camera just keeps zooming in whenever you get near big enemies and the game also requires some positioning if you want to optimize the damage output by not getting your npcs knocked out (you also want to avoid not being able to dodge in the midst of things).

And it's not the first time where they toss multiple enemies with different attacks at range while you have to deal with that shit camera, I got through them just fine with some annoying running back and forth, but I feel like I'm missing something really obvious.

Some review site say the AOC 27G2U is a great 144hz 1080p monitor (Free/G-Sync). It is discounted at 200e these days.
What says you, Meta ?

Ideally I would like a 1440p display, though :thinking-face:

There is a ginormous external Seagate HD 6 To for 100e too. Again, not ideal, I would prefer multiple smaller HD in case of a hardware issue, but 100 for 6 To is noice.

I just got the 24" for the same price and I love it! And I say this as someone who needs good screen. Only thing I would be worried about is 1080p at 27", 24" seems like a good spot.

Well, I'm already used to this pixel density so no worry. Tough it's IPS and a friend told me backlight bleeding is really common on these. I kinda wanted VA.

Digging a little deeper I get
AOC 27G2U 1080/144hz IPS Free/GSync 200
AOC C27G1 1080/144hz VA FreeSync (G-Sync ?) 250
Iiyama G-Master GB2760QSU-B 1440/144hz TN FreeSync (G-Sync ?) 360

I love liyama, but it's obviously more pricey.

Edit - Oh, the liyama supports tate mode :awwblob:

IPS is good enough now for gaming that the colors are so very much worth it! Seriously don't even consider TN! About backlight bleed, can't say I've noticed it really on my screen.

Not even sure it's the name of the issue. On the 4k Sony TV I get an annoying halo effect around things and texts. I really don't look forward to get that on my gaming PC.

It's good to be back in PSO2.

Oh, right, I knew it reminded me of something of cultural importance. It's a Sybian !
