DS remake has been rumoured as the bluepoint next gen game for ages tbh, not that it was a definite certainty I guess but yeah.

Just finished watching the PS5 stream. First impressions:
- the whole presentation bored me to tears. I hate those ◯,✖,▲ and ◼ popping up between games. Annoying and got old real fast.
- The look of PS5 is ok, but I need the price
- I don't see there is a huge demand for the digital version
- Games overall look ok, graphic-wise. Ratchet Clark and Horizon are the only game makes me think "oh the graphics are pretty good (for console games)"
- Hitmannnnnnnn 3! Jan 2021 too. That's fast
- Very excited for Deathloop and Kena, too
- Fuck R*. Not GTA5 again. WTH is Bully 2?

That's not many, or the coolest stuff. Plenty are likely not, Athia, RE8, Pragmata, Deathloop, Hitman, Stray, Ghostwire, etc. Some (all?) of it will be timed anyway.

Can't believe I'm excited about the PC Gamer Show this weekend cuz at the very least we're getting Persona on Steam/PC. Also XSEED is announcing a couple of mystery items for PC too.
I wonder if thats why Sweeney was sucking Sony´s balls, so they promote his exclusives on their biggest show.

I don't think the titles shown that are PS5 exclusive would be enough to get me to buy a PS5 in their current iteration. Ratchet & Clank is definitely the front runner of PS5 exclusives.
Really disappointed that they didn't show or even mention PSVR. That would have been a huge selling point to me. A new Astro Bot for VR? Would have been there day one.
Gran Turismo has to win me back after their decades of half-hearted efforts. Not a huge Horizon fan nor fan of that particular genre. And while a Demon's Souls remake is cool, not sure how I feel about From not handling it, and the fact that Demon's Souls isn't my favorite Souls by far... I never even bought Spider Man PS4, just don't think that's my kind of game, but it does look great.
That was 100% the only demo of it during the presentation. Which is exactly how I thought it would present itself, complete with the Sonic CD-esque transitions. I'm impressed with myself over that prediction lol.

I imagine it's because of raytracing. The console GPU cannot do 4k/60 with raytracing. Heck a 2080ti can't do that. 1080/60 with raytracing will also be difficult. Performance modes will forego raytracing for better framerates, while the quality visual mode will probably be 4k/30 with as many graphical bells and whistles as they can manage.
I think the Demon's Souls artstyle looks fantastic. Many people (including me) got onboard with the franchise with Dark Souls so DeS will be a new game for many. It looks amazing (especially in the real screenshots) and will be hard as hell if they don't change anything. This would legitimately be a system seller if it wasn't 'a remake'.
The highlight for me was Hitman 3. I loved Hitman 2016 to bits but the technical issues in the first few months of Hitman 2 really soured me on the series. They eventually got fixed (not exactly fixed, but rather bypassed by the introduction of the DX12 renderer) but by then I had sort of moved on. A January release date for Hitman 3 gives me 6 months to get back to the game and complete it.

Kena has been an emotional roller coaster. First I thought it was PS5 exclusive, then I saw it was coming to Windows, then I saw it was EGS exclusive.
Gonna be honest, not a huge fan of the Demon's Souls remake. Too bright, too blue, too over-designed.
I know From was really hurting for money and time when originally making it, so it's not like From would've deliberately designed it the way they did if they had more freedom, but less truly is more in some cases.

I'm interested in a lot of the games shown but really no hype until they release and we can see what they really are. Also I think the PS5 looks fine, which means people will come around on it in a year or two if previous trends are any indication

Yeah I feel like some of these games looked a little early too, like the way Ratchet hitched up a fair amount. Horizon ZD 2 just looked a bit basic.
I think that final polish will be the thing that makes some of these games actually pop.

This would actually be a massive change to the game. I'm totally for it btw, but it would be a huge difference.
Especially the ability to spam grasses or magic spells could be hampered changing some of the more bullshit parts of that game.
I'll just assume every non-first party game shown at the event will come to PC at launch. With only one or two being timed.
On the one hand, RE8 and Pragmata (whatever it is) both look great. Capcom's been amazing lately, so I imagine they'll be excellent.

Yep. I mean yeah farm a bunch and just spam it. This way there could be more meaning. Tough they may have to do some balancing as I feel the design is not including the limited resource.

Sometimes you just want a low-impact version of the games you like and shapez delivers. A minimalist logistics title that focuses on transferring various shapes via convener belts to your home base. Along the way you unlock increasingly complex tools to split, twist, turn & color various shapes from resource nodes from around a surprisingly large map.
There's currently no cost for adding & subtracting tools so it make the game feel like a friendly puzzle experience that encourages experimentation every step of the way. Presentation is super-clean making reading the board pleasurable & intuitive. Complimented by great UI interface and smooth music.
There's a progression chain of unlocking both tools and speed upgrades that give goal focus & direction. Nice balance of complexity & approachability.
Thumbs up.
