Друзья, вчера компании Deep Silver и Epic Games объявили о партнерстве и сообщили, что цифровой релиз игры «Метро: Исход» для PC состоится 15 февраля 2019 года исключительно в магазине Epic Games Store.
So apparently even though Epic games added keys, they're not allowing sales of keys. Only those who preordered until now will get Epic keys. It was expected though.
But Humble still thinks they'll get steam keys, so maybe they got special deal?
*If* Microsoft is really going to make another push for PC (I know.....) it will be interesting to see how these cases are resolved because it goes directly against their interests on the Windows Store and Game Pass for PC.
EDIT: Ooops, it will be available on the Window Store. So now Epic deals are just for Steam... wow.
Not at all. Had Epic taken all that Fortnite money, made a store with a better cut for developers and actually helped fund some smaller or medium sized games instead of this agressive exclusivity crap, then yes I would interested in what they had to offer, even with all the missing features. I would still be hesitant given things like the "no reviews" and their history of getting out of the PC market screaming "piracy!", but give it an chance anyway. But now, I'm even regretting getting the free Subnautica.

I feel like being an arse and only getting these Epic Store exclusive games when they're heavily discounted or in bundles.
My sentiment remains to these indie devs on Epic store though

Don't forget GOG. Though if these games get released on GOG, I'd purposely laugh my ass off, and then I might REALLY settle for not getting their games til they're heavily discounted.
They announced the game for Steam, had their beta testing on Steam (I took part of it), and they now take that feedback received from me and other Steam users, and launch the game... apparently everywhere but Steam.

No, they revoked the key a bit abruptly at the end of December.
The beta testing ended a bit abruptly, it was weird. Especially because, when they revoked the keys, testers couldn't go to the beta testers only Steam forum to update their impressions and list bugs, since we no longer had access to it.
For example, I gave a few impressions and posted about some minor bugs, but left my "complete" impressions and updated list of small bugs until after I finished the beta (it was for the 1st chapter), but since they revoked the key, I could never update part of the info I gathered.
I can see why people are gutted that Epic are stealing games away from Steam but to me it's just like they have a year of Early Access and i'll pick it up on Steam when it releases properly. In the meantime i have my Switch and my Steam backlog and plenty of games are releasing on Steam still so i can easily ignore Epic exclusives for another few months. I've never been one to play games "with the crowd" unless it's by accident so i'm used to missing the Water-Cooler talk and not being one of the cool kids.
Operencia looks nice but to me it just means i 'm more likely to be offered a GOTY Edition with all DLC and patches when it finally hits Steam in a year's time.
I will riot if epic grabs pinball fx too... But that luckily already has a big community on steam...
But who knows... The moneybags just have to be big enough

You know what I was thinking about? They trying to get the Truck Simulator series, because it has a big community.
And, coincidently, there's a stream with announcements regarding American Truck Simulator tomorrow.

There are several parameters which can be tweaked to try to understand what is going on and ultimately get better results. However, I believe I have more or less settled for the method, not too complex so that I can be confident it is not bugged, and not too simple so that it has a rough idea of the concepts behind the words.

I'm trying to think of some positive ones but ehhh, i got nothing.

I admire anyone who can play games like that. It's like a game designed to my weaknesses as a human being. I can't even start to imagine how shit i would be at it. I was watching the Necrodancer speedrun on AGDQ 2019 and hell no. Fascinating but impossible.
To diverge a bit from all this talk about games not launching on Steam, let me talk a bit about the good games that are fortunately still launching daily on Steam.
Today, the following shmup launched on Steam:
From what I played so far, it's a lot of fun!
Also today, a great looking cross between point and click adventure and RPG launched, at a very attractive price tag:
And, it comes with the "seal of approval" from Dave Gilbert, from Wadjet Eye Games:
Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements is also out on GOG and Humble:

I backed Mages Initiation on Kickstarter! I got my key for it last night, was one of the last things game wise that I ended up backing was one of the "This looks very Quest for Glory-esque" which is why I backed it. Very excited about it!

Dead End Job sends you into a madcap, Ren & Stimpy-esque world to bust up ghosts. It’s a procedurally generated, couch co-op, twin-stick shooter that straps a vacuum pack to your back, and puts a plasma blaster in your hand. For you, it’s just another day in the office.
Familiar Haunts
You take on the role of Hector Plasm, a worker at Ghoul-B-Gone – ‘the Number One experts in paranormal pest control’ – as you’re tasked with heading to haunted offices, restaurants, and other everyday buildings before freeing them of unwanted guests. One minute you're sucking up specters, the next you're sucking up to your bosses, chasing that promotion. Have you got what it takes to be the best at putting pests to rest?
Don’t Suck… Well, Actually Do
Exercise that fighting spirit, since every specter you snag and every resident you rescue is added to your client’s bill at the end of the job. Haunted by the ghost of your mentor, quite literally, you must learn the ropes and to save her soul before she’s forced to spend eternity as a spook (voted “Least Preferred Fate” in Ghost Hunter Monthly).
Kindred Spirits
Play alone or bust ghosts with a buddy in drop in / drop out co-op that works seamlessly within the main adventure. Plus you can play to an audience with Twitch and Mixer interactivity that allows viewers to help or hinder your assault on the afterlife.
Ghost Writer
Do you love 90's cartoons? Yeah, so do we, and we grew up on their stretchy squishy gross-out laughs. Our love for them spills over into the game like so much ectoplasm. See every nose hair in wacky, vibrant art that brings everyday items to life as screwball spooks to suck up. To top it off, the entire adventure is backed by music from the award-winning Will Morton (Grand Theft Auto series).

I would assume it would be their Japanese PC version patch adapted for the Steam version.
Committee of Zero said:
Script fixes
From typos to mistranslations, we’ve fixed mistakes ranging from large to small—for a total of over 1,600 lines changed. Some of them were tiny enough that most people would probably skim past without realizing, while others were grossly obvious or confusing and were serious impediments to an immersive reading experience.
Consistency fixes
Like with STEINS;GATE 0, there were a number of terms in CHAOS;CHILD, such as names of people, objects, and products, which were translated differently in previous localizations and official media. This patch optionally replaces all inconsistent terminology with the translations used in previous titles (primarily STEINS;GATE’s localization), as well as swapping the name order to Japanese (e.g. “Takumi Nishijo” → “Nishijou Takumi”).
Typography improvements
Text box and backlog text is displayed in a nicer font, and issues such as text hanging off the edge of the text box have been fixed.
Subtitles
Adds text to various voice-only lines and cutscenes, including several important lines which previously had no translation. Additionally, there are optional karaoke subs added to openings and endings.
