Man, Logistical 3 is just so damn good.

But it's also so damn baroque that it's like telling someone how incredible Dwarf Fortress is only to be met with blank stares.

It truly is the Dark Souls of logistics-management sims.

...................

It's funny though. Being into hyper-indies above & beyond all else feels like both a blessing and a curse.

You get to enjoy all that smug, hipster street-cred, but at the same time you often feel like your sitting at a table set for one. :p

(A week later I'm still waiting for ONE YouTube vid featuring the game. Something. Anything. Le sigh.)

New thread smell, etc etc. Despite it still being July 31st in my timezone.

I think that Battletoads game looks silly. Maybe it will be fun? Hard to tell, humor is so hard in games.

Nothing really stand out for me. Will be watching for reviews of Flight Simulator and Horizon for future purchases though, since pricing just isn't in my favour right now and im trying to clear out the backlog a little more

I tried the first one when it launched, but gave up and refunded. I found it completely impenetrable. Any chance the new one has a good tutorial? I have a bad tendency of buying complex games, then giving up when I can't just jump in and start doing things.

lololol all i asked for was a 5 dollar steam copy. I guess this will have to do until it goes F2P.

I played a tiny bit and I liked it. I just haven't had a chance to play it much. It's kinda like Loadout/Quake/Smash from what I could see.

August!

Looking forward to giving PSO2 a try. I assume the Steam version will not commit suicide before it's even completely installed, like a certain other version of the game.

Yeah its much easier to know someone by avatar than by name. There is always that moment of "who the hell is this guy?" whenever someone changes avatar.XD
I'm the exact opposite - I try not to focus on people's avatars but their online handle instead. I didn't really think people would be confused by my new avatar when I changed it quietly one day, but now I'm not so sure. 🤷‍♂️

This is why I will never ever able to change from Reno.

Also that Lego NES set is on sale now. $229 US. Looking good.

Checked NeoGAF and looked at my last message before the exodus. Pretty good last message!:D

Everything is ending in a weird way for me. I'm leaving northern Europe for good next week, I found another home to my cats so I'm on my own for the first time in ten years, I'm selling all my stuff and SteamGAF comes to an end. Sure it all evolves to something else and it will be great to be with you all again once we manage to gather again.

I'm definitely hopping unto Halo Infinite's multiplayer day 1

I always preferred run and gun games to pop and stops
It's going to be interesting to see how high of a player count F2P Halo Infinite mulitplayer will get on Steam.

After playing Covenant 25 for so long...base game/0 Covenant is very easy.
Once you've figured how all the clans work and their proper combos, the game just feels like a power trip without the high covenants.

I can share some 0 Covenant playthroughs, or Covenant 1 playthroughs if you want to see some card combos I used to win with.

Thanks to the OP, I realized that we have a strange selection of games this month.
PC-ass PC games like Flight Sim , Serious Sam 4 and Wasteland 3, along a Sony AAA and... Samurai Jack?

Also Windbound looks cool.

Soooo... PSO2, Horizon and Control are my main targets. I could do without Horizon, we will see. And I should include Death Stranding that I still have to launch.
I'm also still quite curious to try Fallout 76, but as I missed the deal on CDKeys some days before the steam release, it's a hard pill to swallow.

And that leads me to the negative part of my post. I'm playing FF14 and ESO, with PSO2 to follow. And I already ressent the time commitment, always been the main issue with this genre, you don't have time for other games. Though to be fair you could include UBI shit to MMOs, I played a handful of hours of AC Origins and it's MMO-like on the filler.

Simple tactics give simple wins

Hey, maybe this will be the first versus game I will invest time into ?
For one thing, damage output is higher than previous GG games. Like yeah, a grab move SHOULD deal big damage, but 40% of one's health is going a little too far if you ask me :v

There's also Genshin Impact coming later this year, before October they said, lol. :grimacing-face:

Uh about Fallout 76, I know that in the proud motherfucker way, you have to buy the game for each platform / launcher you want, but can I try the game on gamepass and resume playing the same character on steam if I like it ?
