I played it around launch and it wasn't terrible, but it was a massively more polished and bug-free game half a year or so later. Since I usually only play these large RPGs once, it seems like a better idea to wait a bit.How was Wasteland 2 ?
I really liked this and had a fun time when I played in early access quite some time ago. Put it down to wait for release and am looking forward to going in again.lot of stuff quiting early access this month
It had all the ingredients for a decent turn-based RPG, but I got bored after a few hours already. The story and environments weren't very exciting. Never finished the game.[UWSL]How was Wasteland 2 ?[/UWSL]
What did you ask, and what was his answers? As it turns out Twitter is pretty fun! Tim Sweeney answered almost everything I asked him.
We've had quite a lot of gameplay footage and previews thus far.Haven't really been paying much attention on what the word is on wasteland 3, I just assumed I will play it day one no matter what.
Is it turning out to be good or a nah?
Oh man this game. The visual novel book club for August is now up and this time we will be reading The Silver Case by SUDA51.
I know that a lot of people already own this game, so come join us if you've been looking for an excuse to play it.
you're welcome haha"Shitty Regional Pricing Simulator"
Thanks @lashman, you made my day
Heh, that's a very good question.answered or bullshited around?
How do I link twitter stuff in a legible way so people can follow the conversation? What did you ask, and what was his answers?
SPEAKING OF CONTROLNot going to lie, this month belongs to Aloy as far as I'm concerned. I'll be buying Control again to have it on Steam and also to support Remedy's single player games.
Twitter in a legible way so that people can follow a conversation? How do I link twitter stuff in a legible way so people can follow the conversation?
Haha, it really is impossible! What a weird platform.Twitter in a legible way so that people can follow a conversation?
... that's not a supported use case.
(Sorry for the unhelpful joke, but I really don't know if that's possible )
Maybe post your first tweet to Tim and we can go from there? Or post screenshotsHeh, that's a very good question.
How do I link twitter stuff in a legible way so people can follow the conversation?
Click the "date" that's on the bottom left of your question and paste that here as media, that will give us the link for conversation chain. How do I link twitter stuff in a legible way so people can follow the conversation?
Having never watched the show...I am tempted to blind buy itHey, this looks interesting. Kind of similar to Shadow Tactics/Desperados, but this is more narrative driven with time control mechaniccs & less violence.
I don't know what sonning isAlexandros
Just checking but what is the level of 'sonning' being applied to Tim in these tweets?

Ah, thanks! No, thankfully not at all so far. What Does ‘Sonning’ Mean?
Sonning a person means to teach them a lesson, often in a humiliating or demeaning way.stayhipp.com
That would be great! I haven't been able to progress past Covenant 2 -- the final boss always gets me, even if I've been melting previous levels. I'm probably doing something fundamentally wrong with my left/right paths and card picks, but I don't know what it is.xinek
After playing Covenant 25 for so long...base game/0 Covenant is very easy.
Once you've figured how all the clans work and their proper combos, the game just feels like a power trip without the high covenants.
I can share some 0 Covenant playthroughs, or Covenant 1 playthroughs if you want to see some card combos I used to win with.
I finished the remastered version of it, which had really neat gamepad controls. As for the game itself, I felt that the first half felt pretty weak. It wasn't until you reached Los Angeles that the game really came to life. Ultimately they should have reduced the parts in Arizona in length, say to little more than an extended prologue. That's what it feels like anyway. How was Wasteland 2 ?
Hopefully Twitter brings back the threaded mode they were trialing at one point. It was a huge improvement:Twitter in a legible way so that people can follow a conversation?

With all due respect, I don't think Valve's only source of revenue comes from fees. I mean, CS GO itemization is just a big black hole all alone. And that's just one of their games , they have a few more and they even sell hardware as well.
You are right of course. The context of the discussion was revenue streams of companies as platform holders, which is why I didn't mention the money that console makers make from first-party games either. With all due respect, I don't think Valve's only source of revenue comes from fees. To be fair they probably rely on fees a lot but saying its their only source isn't right.
The good thing is, it looks like Wasteland 3 will have gamepad support from the get go!I finished the remastered version of it, which had really neat gamepad controls. Another big issue I had with Wasteland 2 is the balancing, or lack there of. If you had two machine gun experts in your team you were invincible, especially by using initial positioning in your favour. If you had none, then the game just became completely impossible at some point. In the remaster they tried addressing this by adding more abilities to other weapons, but it still shows quite heavily.
The actual moment to moment gameplay was great, though. I loved how the various skills allowed you to interact with the world in different ways. Of course, it became pointless after some time, you just figure out which 4 or 5 skills are the most useful and plan around that, but it's just oddly satisfying to unlock something, or use various other specific skills instead of the game just giving to you for free.
I think I will wait until Wasteland 3 has gamepad support again. It's not a game that really needs the precision you get from KBM and so playing with a controller just ends up streamlining everything and speeding things up.
Oh? I tested the alpha and it didn't have any controller support yet. If it really ships with that, than I might play it awhole lot sooner. The good thing is, it looks like Wasteland 3 will have gamepad support from the get go!
How was Wasteland 2 ?
Yeah i played it a bit but bounced off of it before i ever got to LA (so i guess i missed the best bits). It was ok and had some decent gameplay. Dont think it had gamepad support when i played it so that might change things (im comfy couch), always keep meaning to go back to it but maybe ill just wait for 3 now. Id say if its cheap its worth a go for a few hours.I finished the remastered version of it, which had really neat gamepad controls.
