Didn't they try that with Gwent and it failed horribly? I'm saying CP would also fail, it almost surely wouldn't, but it seems the desire to lock down things to GOG is no longer there.

Yeah I forgot about Gwent actually (like everybody else)! I wasn't being literal. It was more in reaction to the Remedy discussion and EGS publishing exclusives or whatever they plan on doing. If exclusivity was a bad idea for CDPR, who has a good store, and is releasing a huge game like Cyberpunk, I can't imagine it'll go any differently for EGS with a few indies and near broke devs. Not to mention EA, Microsoft, and even Sony backing off of store exclusivity ... I mean damn, it's still 2012 all year every year at Epic. I guess we'll see what their publishing really means, maybe tomorrow.

Here's my mediocre contribution to perfect games.

Nice and gz.
For strange reasons I don't have even one 100% game on steam, in contrast to PS3 and PS4.
But I sometimes aim for "hard" goals in Steam games, like finishing X-Com 2 on the legendary difficulty in Ironman mode.

I can't even explain why I do not care about Steam achievements. Maybe because sales and impulse buying made me having games in my library that I haven't even installed once...

In all seriousness: if you use DLSS but not turn on RT settings you'll be more than fine.

Never heard of SAM before, but thanks for the tip. I'll google it.

Proton keeps getting better and better, the new version is out and it's compatible already with Cyberpunk 2077

This is awesome. I really appreciate that Valve isn't treating linux as sort of a back project, like some intern working out of the closet, running 2 years behind. It's a real first rate effort. I've been using linux exclusively for over a year now, and nothing has brought me back to my dual boot since. Proton is great.

I also bought Witcher 3 on GOG.
(It was actually the last physical edition of a PC game I everbought and it came with a gog key.)

Aside from maybe Trails in the Sky SC, there's not one game here where I actively tried to get 100%, and even SC kinda burned me out of that. Getting all those chests was annoying, even if loved the chest messages.

That new perfect games feature is cool, but neither it nor the ordering in the library seems to work flawlessly. I was neurotic enough to be manually tracking this beforehand, and so I spotted 3 games where I have 100% achievements that it seems to not track. They're all games with small player counts, so maybe related to the new system that blocks games from getting achievements until they're confirmed to not be spam?
