Happy to say I voted. There were only two games that even met the criteria, but I enjoyed them both (Horizon and Death Stranding).

Oh sorry, another one before I shut up.

Seller -
By the way we have an offer, for two days we have purchased back our clients' old phones, even the very old ones. Yours would be 10 euros.

Me -
Happily gives the thing to the technician.

Technician, coming back after a few minutes -
Did you have to change your battery sometimes along the way ?

Me -
Nope.

Technician, nearly staring into the void -
But this is a 2005 phone...

They talked about putting it as a joke on their facebook page :cold-sweat:

Buying a smartphone is a really big hassle. I had to do that last year. I choose the Google Pixel 4A but then I had to return it since the battery was having issues. I ended up going with the OnePlus 7t. I like it it's pretty nice overall and has lasted me.

Phone wise my very first phone I got was back in 2012 was a Huawei Activa 4G, it was part of a prepaid plan, it cost about $100USD for signing up for the plan and the phone lasted me about a year and a half. It wasn't even that good of a phone back then but I was able to get by and the pictures were not bad. I was still in highschool at the time and that's what my parents got me. It was using Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread.

Around 2013/2014 is when I got my second phone the Alcatel One Touch Fierce. That was on special i think and I was able to get it around $50USD my first phone broke and I needed a new one for a school trip that I was going on. In some way it's was better than my first one and in some other ways my first phone was better than the Alcatel one. That was running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The main difference between this phone and my first one was that it was a lot thinner, I use to be very embarrassed (and also worried that other kids would make funny of me for it) was that my first phone was very thick. So the phone was already large and then when you added a cellphone case it only make it a lot larger. But with this one it was a lot thinner even with the phone case on.

These phones were very cheap and because of that there were certain things that I could not do one them, which is why I ended up buying a 2013 Nexus 7 tablet (which I kept using until maybe 2015).

In 2014 I went to college and also had more money so I splurged and got the 2014 Moto X gen 2. I liked this phone and there were certain things about it that other phones still can't do for some reason. Moto labs was cool since I could custom order a phone to look how I wanted. Mine had a bamboo back (from from actual bamboo) the voice commands were also cool, before you had "Hello, Google" or "Ciri" or "alexa" commands without touch your phone (so getting your phones attention without touching it at all and only using your voice), so that was pretty cool and especially because on the gen 2 one you could customize the prompt that the phone respond to. So you could say "pick up that can" and your phone would respond to you and be ready to do something. So "pick up that can, and play some music" and it would play music. It did no work 100% of the time but when it did it was really cool. You were also able to customize it so that would do certain things automatically, it would automatically send messages to missed phone calls it would also go silent when ever you would have a meeting, etc. This cost me around $500USD, which I payed for all upfront, since I was still doing a prepaid phone plan. It was running Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat but after the Kit Kat update it was not as good as it initially was.

2014 was also when I got the Moto 360 smart watch that thing lasted me 3 years and it was a nice companion to my Moto X. I wish that they still kept making them and yes technically there is a new one but it's just licensing out the name. Maybe I will eventually get another smartwatch since I liked being able to look at notifications without having to get my phone out and unlocking it (even though that whole process is a lot easier now).

By 2017 my Moto X was acting up and could now longer hold a charge (it's my fault for using a fast charger) so I ended up getting the Moto G5+, it still had some features of the Moto X but a major of the cool stuff it had were not there but at least it still had motion controls (so you could start the camera, turn on the flashlight) one of the issue that I have had with my phone over the years especially with this one is that when you click on the camera app it does not always work and that the app will just close before it even brings up the camera. Android 7.0 Nougat.

2020 was when I decided to get a new one seeing how I now had a full time job for the first time and how the G5+ was just not cutting it anymore, I was not even getting calls and texts from people at times. I was thinking of getting the Moto G Stylus but that would not be out until much later into 2020, I tried the Pixel 4A and returned that and that's how I ended up with the OnePlus 7t. Overall a pretty good phone. The biggest issue that I had with it was that when ever I would use twitter and tried to open an external link on Twitter that after a minute it would freeze up chrome and seeing how I use that often it was a hassle to deal with, this lasted maybe 8 months or so.

Going through 5 different phone in 8 years is not too bad.

I would say that the Moto line is pretty good and it does have very stock Android with some extra stuff here and there that are nice to have.

I may stick to One Plus for now.

PS technically my very first smartphone that I ever owned was a iPhone 3G that I purchased off some one at school, I spent $80USD on pretty much a paperweight though since it never worked and the repair shop that I took it to never got around to fixing it. By this point in time the iPhone 4 was already out and was very popular. (I think technically the iPhone 4s was just about to come out)
From what I am seeing it does not guarantee the pre-order bonus stuff and also it's showing up as $49.xx USD for me and that just seems to be the base version. Maybe they also had a deal or something and it's now over.

Could you please release Magic Arena on Steam, you wonderful WOTC ?
MOTHERFUCKERS
Yeah, I kinda want to play Magic. Though I'm so socially anxious and un-competitive that even playing a fucking card game is pushing it.
It's kind of a feat really.

Note to all : Nope, no mobile phone talk :fashionblob:

they don't have to remake it ... just finish up whatever was left to do in the original one, and release it

that's all i want

:negative-blob:
Same. Unless they can port the code with ease to a new engine, just release what was. Retro shooters are in after all.

I would also like to play HH's original Prey 2, but yeah, it might not be in a playable/releasable state, who knows.

On that note, I'd like to play Duke Nukem Forevers various builds over the years, too. But mostly the ~2001 build, of course.

Obsidian - Avowed, first person RPG
InXile - Unnamed first person RPG
Playground - Fable 4, unknown but might be both

But this is great. Most of them are PC focused devs and those first person games will be amazing with M/KB.

Fable will definitely be 3rd person.

I just hope Obsidian differentiates Avowed from Elder6 enough so that both aren't more of the same.

New farm sim game from Indonesian devs, loving what I saw.

Nice character arts too.
Thanks for pointing this out. The first screenshots looked a little bland but then I saw character art and I'm definitely more interested to see how it turns out and support them if it seems a quality game.

So normally my internet where I live is just barely at the edge of usability. At best, I can download about 100MB per hour, or 2GB per day, letting the dl run overnight, etc. But that varies. I have to use the cell network to hit a single distant tower. If it's too weathery out, I might not have any connection at all. A while back I think I was grouching at Joe Spangle for enjoying his first world internet from the future, while I was stuck as a neanderthal living in some crack in a glacier banging rocks together just to log into metacouncil. Basically, I think he has my internet.

Just a few weeks later at the end of my road, there was a big metal box going up and wires going into trenches. Turns out the future is in that box. The future box has a tube into cyberspace that makes the lights flash. I used to talk to you here because I thought you were stuck in the future box, but now I realize that it's actually computers connected by tubes. There's lightning in there. Today I put the strings together and I see the lights too.

But let's not get technical. What I mean is that where it would take me weeks or months to download a modestly large game, now takes half an hour maybe? I had a 56MB update that finished when I looked away from the monitor. I've gotten so used to shitty internet that I'm not quite sure what to do with it now. I'm just downloading big games for the hell of it. I guess I'm just going to shitpost massive gifs now. I'm surprised that in 2021 I feel like I did in the late 90s as a kid when 56k internet access became available in my town, slowly trickling porn and mp3s to the whole valley.

I mean, this technology works even when it's cloudy, whereas before I thought that meant the internet couldn't find my house. Check it out sometime if you find a metal box.

You move on and rant about something else.
And my rates got cut down in half - deal of the century.
Oh yeah. I forgot to mention the second best part - all that costs me $90 less per month than the old way, and there's no bandwidth cap.

Next month I'll be like "100GB? WTF that will take me an hour!"

Hmm, any thoughts on Ittle Dew 2 and Zombotron?
It's in Fanatical's bundle, heard good things about Ittle Dew 2, the first was a bit excessive in puzzles, Zombotron I have no idea (except the old flash game it's based upon).

It is great, much smoother than the first one, but it is a puzzle game, so you will find it excessive.

Flip smartphones, they exist. Well that is if your a Korean executive I hear.

Also as far as kindle go, the paperwhite is pretty good. I normally don't read but I was able to read a whole volume of a light novel on one. Otherwise I don't think I would have even bothered reading that LN.

I liked Ittle Dew 2 quite a bit, but I haven't played 1, so I don't know how the puzzles compare. That said, the puzzles are far and away the best parts of 2. They're tougher than what you'd usually get in a Zelda game, but not overbearing.

The combat was the part I thought was weak. Enemies are numerous and fast, and your tools for fighting them aren't particularly fun or engaging to use. It devolved into mindless button-mashing for the most part.

Well, the first one really got too complex for my liking, but Zelda is also ridiculously easy, so I hope to find a middle ground... :blobclosecry: I know you can choose your dungeon order, so it's less brutal...

This is what the demo (allegedly in French) of Dragon Quest 11 looks like. There must be something wrong with my account.

Edit: That must be because I added the Japanese depot before Steam applied regional restriction to it.

I summon madjoki for some explanation! :eek:lmecry:

This is the Japanese sub:

And this is the sub for everywhere else:

Edit²: People manually change pak files.

I wonder what would happen if I owned the whole game at some point in time.

So I'm playing Resident Evil 5 now and I'm now very confused why Resident Evil 6 is the one that gets bashed because of "too much action, no horror".
I'm in Chapter 5 now and there has literally been not a single scary moment, lol.
It's great fun though.

"Derrick why do you hate co-op so much it's harmless and more options"- people saying this to me for more years than I can remember

"We have entirely redesigned the combat system in order for it to work well in co-op," says Fleur Marty, executive producer of Gotham Knights.
I always say because co-op entirely shifts the design of a game to fit it in, unless it's completely tossed in co-op for a marketing bullet point and they just don't care about it working or not. It's almost always for the worst as well since people messing around in co-op don't normally pay attention to details and in depth gameplay systems they just want to mess around with a friend. Great for them but bad for someone like me who gets to play through a poorly designed game for no added benefit.

A separate multiplayer mode is ALWAYS better than a game having co-op merely for the fact that it is separated and cut off from harming the campaign.
