This problem also makes me realise why i haven't really paid attention to GOTY articles for years, lol. By the time i play the game it's a year or two late.

I wish I could vote, but I didn't really get on my PC in 2020.

curious to see if people understood the "turd of the year" category as "biggest dissapointment" or as ""worst game"

I put EGS/CD Project Red/Ubisoft in that haha

i would havve several absolutely different picks for each of the possible "definition" of it, for example top3
Top 3 "worst game" for me would be - XIII Remake, Disintegration and Godfall
Top 3 "biggest dissapointment" for me would be - Warcraft 3: Reforged , RDR2 and Mafia DE

as Mor said elsewhere , turd for me is a game so bad so bad and so broken that is impossible to enjoy

Hmmm...

dissapointment is different ... its mostly personal feeling of what i had big expectations but was severely dissaointed by the end result ... in the three examples above :

• W3R - for absolutely dreadfull remake of one my favourite games which even replaced the original , so ts impposible to play the orig the legit way) ,
• Mafia E - for the absolutely changed characterization compared to teh original game and several downgrades compared to it, still fine like 7/10 game , just these change it made it rally dissapointing
• RDR2 - is just i guess standard case of unrealistic expectations from me (thx to people oline) and the fact that i way too often suffer the fight against its overdone scripting during missions
