Thank you for the heads up. I now don't have to stress over picking my next game.
Do what I need. Make a collection on Steam called "Curated backlog", not put it as a shelf, only as a collection and put "one and done" games that you are eager to play, but hasn't installed yet there. Has worked great for me.

I'm just glad Activision released Sekiro on Steam. Not only that but they also had a PC CE for it in the US. And to no surprise it sold out faster than the PS4 or Xbox version. I was the only one at my $GME that picked up the PC version.

I am thinking about pausing Geforce Now for a while (maybe a month), but the website only mentions the free tier and the 6-month subscription.

So I am afraid I would have to subscribe for 6 months if I wanted to be a "founder" again after I have paused.

As for Shadow, the queue to become a subscriber is extremely long. If I wanted to be in there, I would have an account at best at the end of October!

So Geforce Now is the only realistic option.

Re: XCOM2/WOTC deals from a few days ago...

Here's both for less than $15 AND DRM free.

Really interested to see what this game is, seems like it's going to be something a bit different for Valve although that hasn't always exactly worked out for them in the recent past with Artifact flopping and Underlords flopping just much more slowly.

Re:Shadow, that's not even mentioning the upper tiers. I waited for 2 months and I had it really, really good.

So 16,5k reviews right now is equivalent to 1m sales. That's cool. Of course it's gonna be varied, but I remember when it was far more reviews for 1 mill sales.

Attempted a replay of Spec Ops: The Line last night, aborted it after 15-20 minutes or so. Maybe it's that I've played much better cover shooters (particularly Gears 4 and 5) since the first time I played it, but it's just not much fun. Story will always be interesting to discuss, at least.

started Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair thanks to the EGS freebie from a while back, and that seems like a pretty solid platformer; really enjoying how the vaguely Zelda-esque overworld exploration plays into unlocking new stages. A bit concerned by how it gates mandatory level progression behind collectibles that aren't required to complete any level, which is one of my least favorite platformer design tropes; just finishing every level should be enough to complete the game and see an ending. you want to lock bonus stages behind optional collectibles, fine, but don't force me to replay stages

That is a quick milli for Valheim. Game does look amazing. The art style and Terraria comparisons are what really makes me want to pick it up.

How complex is that dyson sphere program btw?
Complex. But less so than Factorio so far (I still have a long way to go) and you can definitely take your time with it, since there's no enemies in the game. It's actually kind of relaxing.

If they're on sale during the lunar sale I'll be getting all the funbag fantasy games to complete my steam collection, but I doubt they will as MG usually price matches with whatever sale is ongoing on their website and those aren't on sale there.

Not very, but that's me coming from Factorio and Satisfactory, but Dyson should be okay for beginners.

Paging InnateRhythm

We should play Valheim together, people !
I’m not even interest in North mythology, but a pve survival is really cool. Granted, there is also Grounded, but it is far pricier.
I've always loved vikings and Norse mythology so Valheim is right up my alley for sure! It should be a great one for the co-op crew and if it ends up being a big hit with us I'd be up for possibly renting us a server as well. :smiling-face-with-smiling-eyes:

The viking setting was one of my main reasons for why AC Valhalla never interested me (Im suprised I finished the game), but Valheim is far more fun.
